at 21:20 the rear starter props on the secondary flywheel collide with the piston cup. To avoid this you could either do the fix I made in the video OR remove the props all together. It'll still start the engine but It will be a little slower EDIT: as of 7/12/2024, a roblox physics update stops the engine from operating while unanchored. (Note that this issue only applies to certain players)

dude it’s so easy, my first WORKING engine was a ultra compact 8 cylinder one, i call it the O8 because the pistons go right, down, left, up, and then repeat, they have no timing cam because it has a fixed bar that works as a timing cam already, the engine it self is very powerful and it has ALOT of torque, i even made a 8x8 with it and it still drove, on a normal 4 wheeled car, with the right gearing (high gearing) it can go up to 300 speed
i made your engine but the second i turn left or right with it, it stalls and stalls every time i try to engage the clutch after restarting it edit: i fixed it by enabling "legacy" setting update: i put your engine in a Ford Model A godspeed brother
@@N1GHT- make sure hovers are at 15 speed, 0 drag, ignore others is OFF. there is a mistake in the video where the rear propellers (rear props help start the engine) colide with the rear piston cup. to fix this, you could simply remove it and it will work just fine.
Can you help me with this when I'm driving it? I did completely Everything the video said. And every 3 seconds of me driving it. It starts to Tilt right and I can't fix it. Because when I try to turn the other way. It just locks it in a straight position. And then it just drives in like a weird line.
It is the larger gear so it is closer to the clutch (the sideways spinning fabric cylinder) so when the piston is pushed it only pushes against the larger gear and not the smaller gear (which makes you go forwards) and the larger gear is on the opposite side of the axle so it will spin in the opposite direction when the piston in the clutch is pushed.
Check the drivetrain and see if it is working properly, if the engine runs smoothly and revs high, then its probably something wrong with the drivetrain and rear axle, if the engine doesn’t run smoothly then its probably something goofed in the engine. Or even a mix of both so make sure that everything runs as intended.
motor 2's, they are 1x1 block so they arent bulky and dont take up much space. also with torque 1000 there is a 0% chance of slippage on engine startup or while it is at redline.

Simple solution:motor 2 set to 90 degrees

i couldnt get my one to start im not sure if i did everything right or if i got some things worng but it just completely wont start
I went back and checked and couldnt see anything wrong i think but i noticed that it just wouldnt start as if the hts were not working

i think you probably just either messed up somewhere or have enormous lag, good luck tho.
in 9:00 when i try to start my engine it never fully rotates and the back pistons are not working and just frozen
it rotates sometimes but it always suddenly stops

0:17 are those motors locked or not? The first frames are not locked, then it is locked in other frames
