Restart your phone and the band. If that's doesn't work, turn of and on Bluetooth on your phone. Also make sure you have the officially Huawei Health app

Can you answer calls from the band 8?

No you can't. You can only see who's calling and you will have the option to reject the call outrightly or with quick replies.
