- The day of the Blue Angels Airshow out at Pensacola Beach, Brennan got a horrible migraine, but Mom and Dennis were able to watch from Casino Beach (and record some video for me!). I met them out at Portofino after the show ended and we opened up some cards, played pickleball, went swimming in the Gulf, and concluded our evening with dinner together at Flounder's Chowder House! My dad & Roy’s grandfather was a waist gunner on the B-17 Hell’s Angels for 27 missions . He re-enlisted and was navigator / bombardier on a A-20 Havoc . On their 34 th. mission they strafed & blew up an ammunition train in Northern Italy . Explosion of the train got the plane the pilot & my dad were killed the tail gunner survived & visited my mom after POW Camp . Stepdad lost his brother Horace & brother Byron survived the Bataan Death March . (5 brothers ) Mother’s 4 brothers were all in uniform . The Blue Angels is always more than a airshow . We love & support our military & know first hand that freedom is not free .
We’re lucky enough to live near to where the RAF Red Arrows are stationed so seeing them go over is a common occurrence. It’s only now as an adult I realise what a privilege that is.

All of New York had lost electricity
The air shows are great. It’s just way too loud for me. There was an air show that happened last weekend in my hometown and it got way too loud for my ears. I live a few miles away from an airport where the air show took place and I had to close all the windows because it got too loud. Very overwhelming and overstimulating for me.
Those jets are incredibly loud, absolutely. Luckily they just make a few passes that only last for a few seconds.

Nope, just a terrible migraine that can be induced by a combination of weather, sleep, stress, alcohol, etc. She also had an upset stomach all day so it was a few things she was struggling with but thankfully felt better by the end of the day when we got back from the beach.
