Introduction to polyphase power (12 - Electricity Distribution)

Why is 3-phase or 2-phase electricity is superior than single phase? There are two advantages: one is related to the pulsation of power coming from the turbine, and the other is related to the amount of copper used. This video shows the first and subsequent videos in this set show the other advantage in detail through mathematical calculations. This video contains animations which illustrate pulsed power in single phase, 2-phase, and 3-phase power distribution.
