I am just like that, Vicki. I just made au gratin potatoes from dehydrated potatoes that I did a few years ago. I just made sage bread that I saw on a RUclips video. Both loaves are now cubes and are dehydrating for Thanksgiving stuffing.
I usually add my spices after grinding. I'll have to try this technique I also age in fridge after to allow the spices to co mingle before forming patties.
I tried this once but most of my sources on line used a zillion spices so although my sausage is good, it isn't the classic breakfast sausage I'm use to. This seems simpler spices and might be a better fit. I also bought ground pork on sale to make mine.
I've got plans to make your pizzas for the freezer. And we already have pork in the freezer that hubby and I plan to make sausage from, possibly Thursday. :)
BTW, just wanted to let you know we made the breakfast sausage AND the premade pizza dough. We will make both again and add a little more sage (Which I don't love!) to the sausage, maybe half again as much. The pizza dough never made it to the freezer! We used it all for small pizzas and for calzones. So good! Thank you. Next on my list is your bread recipe!
I've made sweet Italian sausage before. 😋
Thank You for sharing this was awesome!
I'm surprised it didn't call for fennel seeds.
Your so smart. I bet it's really good.

I imagine I can use the same recipe with beef?
Are you starting sourdough, Vicki?
@@rachelekelly1161 yes. I needed sourdough bread for Thanksgiving.
