Oh god Professor, thank you so much for this. I sat down with my son yesterday with this kit and got most of it in there even with the often vague instructions. What we couldn't figure out was where to wire in the USB. Up until your vid I would have never guessed to the switch. Time to get this box finally up and running!
I would say it is half-decent, and depends very much on which audio option you choose, from about 7. The speaker separation is not far, so don't expect much stereo effect.
I'm a total newbie soldering. While I struggle doing so, managed to 'finish' the speaker. Thank you for your guidance!

how would you make this to have rechargeable battery instead of USB cable?
There is not much extra room in the box for a battery, so I would just plug it into a standard rechargeable USB power bank/brick.
So what's the final audio quality on this? Is it actually worth using once assembled? How is it compared with a half-decent pre-built speaker?
