RUclips's recommending of smaller channels finally hit gold, this is pretty neat.

Lovely variation on the Bearded Chestnuts, and the dragonfly was a spectacular catch.

@@amyesworldcatherinesminime7945 yes variation amongst moths is very interesting particularly in species like the beaded chestnut. And yes the dragonfly was a surprise, apparently not attracted to lights so don’t know how it ended up in the trap!

@@Entomologymaxwell Do you think it was chasing its dinner?

@@amyesworldcatherinesminime7945 it’s possible but I’ve since found that bright lights can through them off course, they are not ‘attracted’ to it but it simply confuses them so this is a likely explanation!

Lovely trappings. Shame about the Clifton. Something to look forward to

@@amberdy12 thank you Richard. Yes I have to be honest I wasn’t expecting the clifden just hoping but it would have been nice. It’s still a very rare moth but is only going to get commoner, they are even breeding in South Yorkshire (I’m in North Yorkshire) so might just have to be patient!!

Wow, I don't know why this was recommended to me, but you seem to know your moths. I hope you catch the ones you're after.

I live way too close to Manchester city to catch anything but flies lol I've tried so many times but the light pollution is really bad. :(

@@themantisgarden if you tried it with an MV I’d bet you’d get some moths, I also know that UV LEDs can work well too.
