When they started the DCEU they honestly shouldve brought on Bruce Timm as a consultant that helps with the story and scripts. He did the shared universe perfectly in animation in the 90s/early 2000s before the MCU was even a thing.
@@ARBLACKx that would have been amazing I’m sure. But I think they put too much money behind Zack Snyder that they thought it would really work and honestly I think the Snyderverse was a mistake. Don’t get me wrong, I like what they did with it, but it put DC in a really awkward, really rushed position that they didn’t need to be in. It was just a cash grab to compete with Marvel and it ended up basically flopping. They really should have just taken their time with everything.
@@RubidiumMoon yep I agree. Theres aspects i liked and disliked in MOS and BVS but I absolutely loved the snyder cut of JL. They definitely shouldve taken the time and built up the characters first with solo movies before the crossovers. If that happened and it eventually led to this version of JL the DCEU wouldve been very successful. I also think that Snyder initially shouldn't have taken these beloved DC characters in such a hardcore direction in MOS and BVS because it led to so much divisiveness and hate among the general audience, critics and die hard fans. Lik even he mustve known when he was prepping these movies that ppl will either love or hate it which I don't think is the right approach to take when adapting beloved characters like Superman and Batman that have been around for decades. Because look where its led us to now with the state of the DCEU being an absolute mess. I always thought the tone of the first WW was incredible. It had the perfect mix of darkness/gritiness and comicbook fun/lightness. It wouldve been the perfect template to use for all the DCEU movies especially in the character solo films.
Agreed, watched it all on DVD recently and loved every moment Faves: The Late Mr Kent, World’s Finest, Brave New Metropolis, Apokolips... Now!, Mxyzpixilated, New Kids in Town
Tim Daly is my favorite voice of Superman. I also love George Newbern from Justice League/Justice League: Unlimited but when i think of Superman's down-to-earth voice in animation i immediately think of Tim Daly.
The Injustice movie VA, Justin Hartley, sounds like he's imitating Newbern, which was imitating Daly. I like all 3, I think that's more or less what Superman sounds like in my head, but Tim Daly is the definitive Superman voice. STAS really is the definitive Superman.
Bought the series on dvd a few months back. The only things that disappointed was there wasn't another season to explore Supes regaining humanites trust and that the opening was made of stock footage from the show
@ChainsawReacts, i like that youre wearing as much fandom swag as possible. My favorite company is DC but i love Marvel as well. Ive always said just tell me a good story and im happy. It can be DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, any comic book company. i just love great tales and Superman The Animated Series is my third favorite Kids' WB! series ever, right after Pokemon and Batman Beyond. Thanks for the videos and keep enjoying what you want!
I’m glad it still felt like the show. I was put off other dc shows due to color and lighting changes. Particularly Batman Beyond, but also Batman TAS. Hopefully this one is better in that regard?
@@CameronKiesser Wrong, Tim Daly wasn't the reason why Superman TAS got canceled. That doesn't make any sense at all with the show being canceled over an actor leaving a show. No, the network canceled the show despite Bruce Timm and Paul Dini wanting to work on more Superman and Batman Beyond. It never happened for unknown reasons why WB decided enough was enough, which explains why Justice League/ JLU were broadcasted on Cartoon Network instead of WB. Infact Tim wasn't that busy to begin with till Superman TAS has ended with working on the short lived Fugitive Series. Tim would'ev done season 4 of Superman if the show wasn't canceled by WB according to an interview he did recently not too long ago.
Are going to get the series on Blu-ray? What are your favorite episodes? Let me know in the comments!
My favorite episode is warrior queen 👸🏻
0:11 to hell with those pissed off people. You are the perfect fan for loving both DC and Marvel. Perfectly balanced as all things should be
The Bruce Timm Animated series are really amazing. There’s nothing like them.

I met George Newbern one time at Los Angeles convention center last 2 years ago.

Ik I want more of this show I wished season 4 had happen this show is on another level.
I kinda appreciate the fact that the show ended on a pretty dark note for a series who focuses on a character that inspires hope
Damn, I just got the second volume on DVD like a few months ago and *now* they release it all on Blu-ray? Ah, well...

Batman the animated series Is also amazing
THE BEST *SUPERMAN: ANIMATED SERIES* EVER
Indeed.
And, other than the series of theatrical shorts from the 40s, the only one.
In my opinion this is better than batman animated series and justice league. Loved it. Its how superman should be done.
I ordered my copy on Amazon. I can't wait to watch it.

Sounds exciting, ChainSaw!
Yes I plan to get superman the animated serieses
how long have these companies sent you early copies of their releases?
8 PLAN TO GET SUPERMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES ON BLUE RAY
Shame got cancelled. Only 3 seasons
That being said all the themes they were going to do in the canceled fourth season of Superman TAS were all put into JLU.
Tim Daly decided to work on a different series, which is why STAS ended but the show he left for got canceled as well.

@@GothamKnight84661 I got a different answer from other sources. Idk I wasn't there. Btw WB owns CN.
How dare you wear a Marvel shirt in your video lol 😆 jk 😜
