Sywo, beside all the informations abt the update and stuff, thats already confusing me. Does Aion 6.0 feel good? Is it smth completely new or does it maybe even bring back some memories of "glorious old days" (xD) lets say 3.0-4-0?

To sum it up: 6.0 feels good and it's gonna feel better for everyone after a few months.
Gameforge did OK with what was handed to them.

For me the olden days are when I played AION 1.5-2.5 when the game was still good.

The glorious old days are gone - POOF- they will never come back. Sorry, but as someone who played since close beta, there were some really good times. Just leveling a new character now feels kind of sad since so much is skipped over. I understand why, but it is no where like the old days. Plus I just cannot stand running around as some stupid transform just to get the speed or buff that I need, IF I get the one that want at all.

@@KKwith4eggs True, Aion was my first MMO and I had so much fun in Eye, Katalam etc. when it was still not that p2w. Was looking for some info on 6.2 cuz I've heard it's supposed to be good but turns out that's not the case. It's a shame, I loved Aion and people I met thru it.
I can't understand why People even play such Games, Tera, Aion, Gameforge, My.Com, Korean MMOs etc. etc. etc. it's all the same.
Agree, stay away from any Korean made MMO, Koreans are very good artists, but when it comes to making video games, they have very bad ideas.
@@jeffreymcgillivray5408 The thing is aion pvp was insanely fun, skillful and addictive (at least to me) which was why i was playing for around 6 years. i stopped around 2015 and i moved on from mmos, to see how they ruin the game is quite sad to me because of the fun times i had but i guess you are right with korean mmos..

It's even worse than that, you indeed can get 2.2k Aion Coins with 100€ but if you want to put only 10€ you'll get barely more than a 100 Aion Coins (140) so that means 10€ for a Gold Pack and 5€ for a scroll. It's just that there is a "bonus" when you give them more money.
Have to say by far the best english Aion youtuber. really great job with all the 6.x updates and information man.

You are kinda funny .. before this patch is was p2w hardcore .. now that they made it so only rich bitches can p2w u complain its to exspensive.. and also u seem to forget if u got a GP u will reduce costs on the shop aswell.
So when GF finally does something right u still complain.

@sywo Hey thanks for a really good video, a couple of things i was wondering about.
The gold sand shop shows for example that u can buy transformation scrolls for kinah and also the "activation" scrolls for kinah.
So even if u dont have potions cant you just use the transformation instead ?
Secondly do you know tha exchange rate on the scrolls is it a 1k scrolls for 3 pots or 1 scroll for 3 pots ?
Aswell is there a difference between the diffrent stats ?
Also some people mentioned something of a new server being opened is that something GF has said ?

Thanks for another good video Sywo. Question: How do u feel about the new server(s)? Also, i played since beta on and off, and planning to make a fresh start on whatever server. Im not expecting to be a god in game, also not planning to spend money in shop ( i have veteran account so dont really need a goldpack). Will i be missing out on stuff that is ONLY obtainable in shop( not tradeable) ? Thanks for all the info, keep up the good work. Peace
With what you told me about you above, new server will deffo make you happier. Personally i don't like new servers but hey, in your case no GP, no depositing, no God wishes, might work :>
With grind and passion you can be pretty decent only with ingame means, takes 6 months but hey.
I dont mind grinding, i like that kinda stuff. Aslong as i dont have to buy say the best enchant stones only in shop for example. I can also keep going on Deyla ofcourse, i was just afraid every +25 p2w fool would 1 shot me every 5 seconds

Haters gonna hate kappa. This is actually the best moment to come back. You come back now or don't think about aion ever again. They made p2w A LOT harder and that means, that standard people who used to put 100-200 euros MAXIMUM in the game, won't actually pay to win. All you need to do to gear up and stuff in the game right know, is playing. So yeah, if you actually play aion, if you set your mind in "It's an mmo, I need to farm, I need to grind, I need to spend hours in the game to get better" then yes, it is definitely worth. Changes by GF are nowhere near bad. This is actually the time they did good stuff. They raised the price of things on shop? Fucking AWESOME. (And i'm on the part of players that would shop 100-200 euros but I don't care, cuz less pay to win is this game, more time it will actually stay alive. You and I both know that everything killed aion was that in first place).
Sphyrel I think it's funny people keep saying less pay2win. The fact that there is a chance at is ridiculous. They are showing you they don't care about your experience or value your time or even the game itself. MMOs should be time = reward. Not time+ credit cards = rewards.

And I'll try to explain as easy as possible so you can understand.
You are used to buy biscuits every week for 5 euros, from the following week they cost 25 euros and your income didn't change. Will you buy them? Let me answer for you, you won't.
Now, okay, huge whales that has just money to waste, but like thousands, they'll make maybe things faster, but nothing you can't afford with time.
Like Sywo said, not even in 185 years a f2p player could get something +30. Now the cap is +15 for EVERYTHING and the item doesn't break and that means, f2p players, with time, will always stand near whales.
So yes, it is less pay2win
As soon as they don't make super pay2win events, aion is fine.
And even with that, with time, you will get into whales.
That kind of market it's not pay2win, it's just pay to get things faster.
I tried to play on a new server and even P2W people have troubles playing, cuz there is no kinah in the game, seeing lots of bots and people with main characters stuck in one place,cuz have no kinah to port
Aion 6.2 ruined Aion. Its ruined. They destroyed this game with the 6.2 update. If you are now playing it, you realize that Esterra is gone, and in its place is a dirty, dark, ugly, castle.
You as a player have lost ....1. The Rift of Oblivion...2. Adma.....3. Kroban....4. The Lab....5. Arkhals Hidden Place..... And in place of all these, you get NOTHING...NOTHING...NOTHING...You now get to play in a dark forest killing mobs in campsites as your reward for L80..........as THAT is YOUR NEW 6.2 Aion.. !! And as you realize how they have castrated the beauty from the game, you will wonder WHY they ruined what was one of the prettiest Video games ever created.........They RUINED IT......... RUINED IT.

It's a damn good thing when p2w gets really expensive.
Its a good thing for Gameforge but not for the players. If people are going p2w price isnt an obstacle.
for normal people that only neeeded to spend a couple of hundred euros to be p2w now wont, we will see less p2w players around.
And those dedicated p2w will be even more ahead the rest of the players, effectively you either go full no pay way and suck or go full hardcore p2w and win. they increase the divide.
So basically they gimped the loving fuck out of cooking and alchemy, by making all the scrolls from alchemy obsolete. the food from cooking obsolete. No new updated stuff
then, you CANNOT craft the new shit

desperation ruins video games. I dont get why any company would be desperate to make money, but they are and its not getting them anywhere. THey're not making their own projects or expansions, and they're not enhancing the game in anyway.
75% of 6.0 content is reworked, recycled shit from the good old days, just like 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 but this one is so gross it just defeats the purpose of it all

You talk alot about all kinds of interesting features and all... but really how is class balance overall? Last time I made a return to AION was somewhere around 4.0 / 4.5 somewhere around that.
And I noticed then alot was changed from 2.0 (And not in a good way when it came to class balance and well.. gamefail).
How is AION 6.0 from a class balance perspective?
To me the class balance feels weird, but not in a bad way. Kinda like the transition from 1.9 to 2.5 where people actually needed to learn more tricks against this class and that class.
The problem now is, that besides the usual gear difference, there's another big factor in transformations, which replace your usual scrolls (or so they present it).
Before, equal gear vs equal gear = skill and ping wins (with the exception of 1 or 2 bad class matchups)
Now, equal gear vs equal gear = better transformation wins (with the exception of 1 or 2 bad class matchups)
Imho, gear (and everything around it, such as enchanting, manastone socketing etc) was enough of a difference maker, so I'm kinda pissed off at the transformation system, mostly because it's almost a cash shop exclusive system, which in turn creates more imbalance.
Sywo thanks for explaining. I suppose the good old days between 1.5 and 2.0 are lost forever. I always felt that pvp with each big update became more restrictive or generally just worse then what it used to be. That same vibe im getting now as well.
Aion’s pvp was in such a good place in the early days even though it had its issues.
Ah well,hopefully Aion 2 will pop up in three years.
Sywo honestly i played Aion from 1.0 till some patch i quitted comming back to Aion tell me should i stay on EU or just wait how situation will be on NA with cash shop and consider switching cause you're just disencouraged me to even login to the game after few years :/

How is drops of transformation scrolls?
Part of gear exchange i really like is that people with +15 75 ap get same as people with +15 80 ap, because i was really not motivated to farming that 80 ap on that bad patch. And that makes it so that i dont start with much worse gear than people who farmed.
what scrolls for legendary transformation? 1 hour scrolls 5min scrolls or 30min? and how many potion per scrolls of each? 1hour, 30min and 5min.
BTW do u gona play on the new server or stay play on deyla ?
Hello , can you explain me how to have transformation of Kaisinel via Transformation Contracts. I do the fusion , it gives me common one. I opened like 50 Contracts on EU Beta server , only gave me White and Green qualities. Is it impossible to get a Kaisinel from them ? Thank you.

in Russia if you put even 1 scroll in an item slot it got exchanged into a purple potion, I got 212 potions from each 1 scroll occupied item slot
Sywo do you feel that even in PvE you will need transformation contracts (group content ofc) tbh it is only the trans that I feel are p2w and ofc I wouldn't want to be forced to continually spend just to PvE in game
yes I would expect to have to use a Transformation for most PvP as I am 100% certain that wihout any trans it means you are just cannon fodder for those using a transform

1-75 takes a day or two on KR so just quest.
+30 gear is definitely P2W , but here in NA is possible for F2P ppl to reach +25, ofc is not easy takes a lot of time and you need to have like 30 to 40 alts to take advantage of the Good events like Kumuki, Kromede, Daeva Race.
In EU you can get +25 (not higher coz no safe spot at 25) gear without spending a penny and without alts (tho alts are helpfull), most of ppl who complain about it are either ppl who quit in january coz "OmG FrEsH StArT WhY To PlAy NOw" and now got butthurt ppl got gathered plenty billions of kinah, stacks of serums and decent gear from exchange

Good I quit Aion ages ago, there is cash shop option for everything now and seems ridiculous to even play the game anymore.
Transformation contract does not even give a yellow,really rare, i made several accounts and opened tons of contracts and only thing i got was white and greens. I must be rng cursed or... Gameforge!

like i said long ago aion after 6.0 is pay2move game you are forced to buyy transformations over and over and over from cash shop untill you get lucky and get a good one or you going to be super slow and its super annoyng to move whith no speed at all like your lvl 1 character the entier time

Nah no more Aion for me i have my fond memories of it since the release and just a little after gameforge takeover. Now it is table scraps hence why gameforge handle it.
one thing i find funny is ppl keep comparing 6.0 with 1.5-2.7.. the game was pay to play at that time. how can you even compare a f2p and p2p games? ofc it will be p2w if it's f2p, the company has to live off of something. you expect the game to run everything for free? that would mean that gameforge would be paying so you can play and have fun.
if you don't like p2w then get the fk away from f2p games.

Don't forget that both in-game shop and server wide drop rate, can change anytime on a regular weekly maintenance (and sometimes without any notice)

What you're saying man is that you're happy gameforge will let you play a game full of P2W just to feel good about the game that was very good before and represent the old days. Aion is dead, and if anybody still has dignity as a player they won't spend a single cent on they're cash machine. It's about sending a message as a community. I loved Aion too more than any other MMO but it's not as it used to be 9 years ago. Fuck these cash machine companies.
2.5 euros for 1 scroll? waaaat? In Aion RU Off you get pack of 50 scrolls for less than 20 euros, and they're tradeable.
Just get you 47 billion kinah and buy almightys or serums for the rest
Avarage player who didn't quit and was playing ~1h per day could easily prepare to patch and gather 20kkk+ kinah and few stacks of serums tho

Aion is long ago dead. You have to accept it! Nostalgic memories but you have to accept it. Who ever plays this game nowadays I can’t accept you complaining about it, it’s full pay 2 win and who ever says it’s not is some nerdy guy spending 18hours of his day lifetime in game. Move one people like everyone of us did.
P.S who ever feels nostalgic about old versions there are a lot of Russian private servers with population over 1,3k and patches like 2,1 - 3,0 - 4,5

The rates are the same, since my video was added to Aion 6.2 promo website.
This shop is ridiculous. This raises the cap between those who have money and those who don't ever higher than it has been in 5.0... :) I'm glad I did quit. I got better use for my money. I still might level up my main to 80 to see new content but that's about it. I rather play BDO which ISN'T a good alternative (expensive cash shop/lots of random game changes every week/hackers) but it's still better than Aion.

Sywo, i saw all your vids about aion 6.0, all very good vids, but i must disagree with you about this patch, after playing aion these weeks in 6.2 and i play aion for 6 years , my opinion is that Gf fck all here in europe, drop rates suck, enchant rates are very bad, oh, about those scrolls beeing exchanged for transf. pots, i had more then 5k scrols and they give me 56 box of selection transf pot, this patch for me = fail patch.
Pkis sywo need guide new set pvp up grade, items, material. Ancient for legendary and ultimate. What need for upgrade.
To me GP is 9.99euros not 4.99, cuz 4.99 I get 75 coins
Pretty absurd prices in cash shop no surprise there. Glad I quit ages ago, saved me a small fortune in my hard earned and glad I dont waste any more money on this greedy publisher.
They really need to make the potions tradeable because limiting such an op consumable to cash shop only is the purest form of p2w. They will even make more money from them if more people use them so I see no reason to keep them untradeable.

So i played from 1-80 in the PTS and in my opinion the transformation scrolls/potions as a whole are a bad mechanic.I got super lucky and got ancient transformation, the best one for my class and even so the speed at which i was attacking and doing anything really was abysmal.They are too expensive and too important.Gear doesn't matter if you attack slower than a 120 year old lady with osteoporosis. IF trans system was not there i would actually play again but i am not paying ridiculous money only for having normal attack speed.
