Isaiah really disappointed this time. I thought the first match was just a fluke but no Vincenzo deserves the props he wrestled smarter strategically and technically and IMAR once again showing that literally all his offense is solely off that left side underhook and he must not know how to properly shoot in for a shot. It’s honestly stunning he’s a 2-time NCAA Champion with how little he can do. Every opponent that can neutralize his left-side underhook has nothing to worry about and can just focus on their own offense the whole match. Congrats Vincenzo you could be a 4-timer!
@@tropicalterrarium1742 With your logic, there'd only be a handful of people who can criticize other wrestlers. Even in high school, bar dramatic weight change, it's always harder to win as a freshman and sophomore; Martinez did that. However, it's logical to ask, based on his two losses to Joseph, how he was able to do so. He really didn't show much.
Joseph did hit a tilt for 3 on a guy who hasn’t been on his back in four years of college wrestling other than last year when Joseph pinned him.... that’s pretty impressive!
Def not giving enough credit to Imar. He was a 2x champ in one of the consistently loaded weight classes. He was def a good wrestler w a decent amount in his arsenal 😂 if anyone, Deen Heil is a crazy 2x champ. Changed the rules and then he couldn’t even AA lmao
I am truly shocked by this. I thought there was no chance that he would beat imar twice in the finals. He just wrestled a smarter match, and amazingly took him to his back with the same double overs trip. V J really looked out of sync at the end of the season, even getting thrown to his back by lesser oponents, but he turned it on at the right time
Let's not forget, Imar beat VJ a week or so before the NCAA at the Big Ten (4-1). VJ hit another inside trip, sent Imar into DEJA VU mode. It's hard to accept, but I believe the truth is Imar is the superior wrestler, and got fluked... twice. I know... it's rare, but it's what happened. VJ lost to Marinelli, and almost pinned by other opponents. His collegiate career (even with 2 championships) is not as distinguished as Imar's. Imar has 3 losses in his total career. 2 vs. VJ and 1 vs. Nolf. Let's also not forget Imar defeated Nolf (who is also a better lb for lb NCAA wrestler than VJ) twice , handing Nolf his only two losses in his career. I dunno... let's see how VJ does his next two years. Our of Penn States big 5, VJ is clearly the weakest link. BUt hey, he did win, and that does matter.
This literally makes no sense. Imar got pinned by nolf and had a throw by in the last 10 second of the ncaa's on nolf when nolf was winning the entire match. Imar got pinned by Cenzo and lost pretty bad the second time time around. Nothing in Imar's resume is better except for being a 4 time big ten champ which means nothing at the end of the day. VJ performs better than Imar in matches that matter which makes him better.
Vincenzo with the nice win. Enjoyed your added commentary as well lol.
Isaiah always gases out. Would be a beast I he ever got into top shape.
In his best shape, he'd probably need to go a weight higher.
Steeve Cantave at least 174

Still no Big Ten Title and just lost to a Hokie in the finals!!
Chad Stroh Nolf pinned him as well when Nolf was a freshman

What was up with the headbutt??
Hits that nasty ass inside leg trip two years in a row against imar when imar best leg attacks are from the under hook hahaha what a gangster
Nice!!!!! Great job, vincenzo!
Hey Kevin Glaze did you wrestle if so where?👍

When imar lost I jumped in my pool and bid imar to go play in a highway.

I'm trying to catch everyone in the off-season. Next season will be just as great as this year hopefully.
Keith Glaze do u follow freestyle? Imar techfalled his way to Final X vs. Burroughs. He's looked solid
Not as much as I should. i will check it out. Thx!

It’s not a fluke if it happens more than ever once lmao.
