- Samsung Galaxy A55 unboxing video has been leaked revealing its full design. Samsung has gone for a premium design on the Galaxy A55 featuring a metal frame and a glass housing. The Galaxy A55 looks almost identical to the Galaxy S24, except for the chunkier bezels. The frame of the Galaxy A55 has a Key Island design, which means the device's power and volume buttons are raised above that frame. The video doesn't show what's inside the box, though but it's expected to have just the USB-C cable.

It's really incredible to see how much the A series has improved while roughly maintaining the same price... just look back at the Galaxy A50 and A51
You can get a Google pixel 8 for less with better performance even an s23 plus will be a better option

the a51 is way better than this e-waste and the A series peaked with the a52s

Samsung has to go lower specs on Midrange series so they can sell S and Z series. A73 was way better than A52s though. The peak A series was the Samsung Galaxy A90

1:33 the camera showed is for a35 not a55. A55 will have 50mp, 12mp, 5mp. 32mp.
i really thought it would be even worse with an 8Mp ultra wide, my A73 12Mp already sucks

The camera specs you showed is actually the a35's camera the a55 has 32mp selfie, 50mp wide, 12mp uw, and 5mp macro

4 gen of OS updates for mid range phone is amazing.

i saw some conflicting benchmarks like a 700 points increase in multicore and a way lower one
but in gpu it went from 800 to 1000 on 3d mark which is nice

why crazy??? a54 didn't have it, a53 didn't have it, a52 and so on. Why should the A series have optical zoom? Then less people would buy phones from the S series.

12 gb of ram would probably fix the problems with the exynos chips

If you're shopping for flagships, go for the established brands. They compete for the reputation and will almost always one up each other.
If you, however is shopping for midrange, go for brands specializing in mid/affordable phones. They have a lot to prove hence would almost always try to give the best value for the price (which should be your focus if you're shopping for midrange anyway)
Buying midrange phone from an established brand is a no go. They always ride the popularity of their flagship as an excuse to charge more for their midrange.
Good phone from Samsung if it launches around between 30k to 35k India

Those elephantine bezels are absolutely disgusting nowadays. Samsung please bring innovative displays just like others(for example oppo, vivo, realme ) do. Their midrange is priced as the flagship is priced.

7 years of support in A series is amazing not because its performance will last , im sure it wont but they are pushing the competition to do more os updates. This is good because 3rd party app developers will have to make apps for less android version because most phones will be at the latest android version or just the 1 version before the latest , it will be way easyer to optimise apps like this. But now theres even people still using android 10 and 11 ..

@@JoseCalderon04 Performance wise absolutely. Also, materials used, it sounds like a banger deal. BUT. I guarantee you, its gonna cost like 30-35% more and not sure its worth that much more. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a BANGER of a deal and might be the better choice still. Im pretty sure its gonna cost the same as that

@@rezer1stA5 series are midrange of Midrange series. A7 were upper midrange and A8 and A9 were the flagship of A series. Compare Poco F3 with Galaxy A90 they came out in same date same year

What is then better in midrange out there? In my EU country you could/can get A54 as cheap as under 300€ new in box with 2y warranty. I doubt anything else can beat it considering every feature/support/build etc aspects.
There are at least 30 smartphones better than this A55 in the same price range! And why would you wanna put 128 Gb. Rom in 2024? Even some Xiaomi Redmi, entry level phones have 256...wtf?
Exynos 1380 is the worst processor as revealed on A54 previous year. Even Dimensity 7200 , 7s gen2, 7 gen 3 are better than this. Now exynos 1480 is slightly better than it. And A55 should come in India at 40 - 45 k range. At that range 8 gen 2 phones like iqoo neo 9 pro, one plus 12 r and many phones are available which also have good display , battery and camera. So in front of 8 gen 2 exynos 1480 stands where? The midrange series of Samsung is still a garbage. At its half price nothing phone 2 is also amazing.
