I can tell you from experience that CDJR dealers will service your ZF transmission. But it's not cheap. I was quoted $980 just for a pan drop service. It does take 6-8 quarts of ZF Lifegard Fluid 8 transmissions fluid at about $15 a quart, plus the cost of a new pan as the filter is integrated in the pan, plus labor to perform the refill procedure. An interesting choice. Diesels are rolling NOx failures. That's why they have elaborate EGR systems and Def Blue exhaust treatment. Diesel is a relatively large molecule below kerosene (jet fuel) and gasoline on the distillate scale. It means there are a number of atoms along for the ride leaving a toxic mess contributing zero to combustion. It is used in locomotives and it is ubiquitous in marine applications. Cannot recommend a diesel car in 21st Century North America. Take the Maserati.
Whilst diesel engines produce more NOx than a similar petrol (US gas) engine, the significant issue with modern diesel engines is the size of the particlates generated where the majority are less that 10 µm - a particulate size that are inhalable into the lungs and can induce adverse health effects. To help address the aforesaid, OEMs have fitted particulate filters in all modern diesel engines - an item which is often found to be 'problematic' in terms of vehicle reliability. Paradoxically, old generation low power diesel engines that produce lots of smoke and soot are less damaging to ones' health because the majority of the particulate size produced is larger than 10 µm and can be to some extent filtered by a human respiratory tract.

His is another great channel
Keep up the fantastic videos 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I just hope Maserati doesn't go down with the Stellantis ship. It's their only worthwhile brand among with Alfa
I consider the Granturisno to be unique among other Maserati models. The design is one of the best by Pininfarina and the engine is the most reliable. The majority of owners have experienced no significant problems.
Interesting thing is the California was originally designed to be a Maserati but was too expensive to build and market as such.
We’ve got loads of Maseratis on the roads out here on Long Island.
I've had my 2014 for 8 years and still love it.
This car is gorgeous inside and out and I love the color!
Why does Ms Wizard talk so damned fast ? Most of us guys don't listen at that speed...Every time I skip it to back to YOU !
I want one of these so bad!!! 2013+ for me! Want want want! I have driven 4 of them and loved them all! Not a big fan of this color for me, but what a great car!
Car Wizard spotlights the one Maserati on earth with no problems.
Nailed the styling
Always loved the GT from M!
Hay guys,What a great price for that car!! Enjoyed!
Poor haters...
(And I don't mean this pitifully 😂)
Nice car Wizard!!!!
No such thing as "Maserati oil" either, I suspect: it'll be Shell, maybe a formula specific for the car, but Maserati don't make the stuff...
Will that Maserati do 185?
When your previous upmarket Italian car doesn't depreciate fast enough.
Same depreciation as Aston, Bentley, Porche Taycan, panamera etc., Ferrari GTs, Mercedes GTs, and most luxury cars
my maserati does 185, i lost my license now i don't drive
Not quite the same engine as a Ferrari 430. Same engine family, but the Maserati isn’t dry sump and it revs lower than the ferrari.
Ive seen people in the owners group with 100k on their gran turismo. Drive it and its fine, the sitting ones always break.
So many redditors in the comments
For all their faults the Gran Turismo has a robust engine and transmission (ZF automatic of course)
* Poors in the comments that drive Corollas, Kia’s and Hyundai, for $199 per month lease. 🤣 that spend the rest of the money they make on vaping.
Toyota people nothing wrong with a transportation box different audience.
One of the most beatiful cars to come from the early 2000s
I think Mrs. Wizzard wants one. Got an anniversary coming up?
Always a good time with a (newer) Maserati!
Thanks for sharing !
I am not into Maseratis, BUT I did have a couple of EARgasms. 😂😂
It is beautiful but the reliability is what i would be worried about. I would trust an older porsche more.
8000 miles? That's about all they're good for.
Why only 10 Bucks in the emergency fund?? 100.00 minimum
I love the Gran Turismos and they sound amazing and look and feel special.
These things sound so good.
Any update concerning the blue Maserati that appeared with an issue with the soft top?
When I win the lottery I will get me one. THE sound is just delicious WIZARD.
However, in that first walk around the car, despite all the pretty carbon fiber, it does not have a nice carbon fiber retractable hard top... And despite foreign snootiness, most Americans prefer the sound of a cross-plane crank.
I found on the internet that Gran-Turismos are one of the more reliable Maseratis, what do you think?
You don't buy a car like this for reliability.
It truly depends on what are the comparing it to? I bet even a Land Rover might be better !! LOL!
Mines done 127k miles and has been great!
I would also take this over a California.
Beautiful interior ❤
I think that that would look really nice parked next to let's say perhaps a new Land Rover Defender in Mrs Wizard's garage....🎉🎉
I'm a mechanic everybody leaves money I'm the car. It's a test and I usually fire those customers
Thank you so much for sharing the Truth about this automobile 🚘.
I have a Maserati and I love mine. Really fun car to drive
I have a question, what do you guys think of the Mitsubishi mirage?
