As talented, yes, and not only as his brothers, but way more talented than some of his contemporaries who are now being "re-discovered and recorded. Sadly somewhat forgotten.

Wow, and the melody at 5:34 is breathtaking too, makes me think of childhood innocence

Just came across this beautiful waltz . It as good if not better than waltzes composed by his famous brother Johann II . Sehr gut . Danke schon .

Certainly, a really good waltz. Eduard has his own style with a particular ability to beautifully amalgamate major and minor keys even within a sigle waltz section. And the technical details of accompaniment and orchestration are also very characteristic, especially the geat care for cello part, often playing beautiful countemelodies.

The cello is Edi's most remarkable characteristic, which shows that he had developed his own style. This waltz is more calm than Fesche Geister and shows that Edi had tried different moods in his waltzes.

Don't forget about 7:10. IMO it's one of the finest ones by Edi.

edi's forte was the fast polka but this is a nice piece...

I agree, and Edi himself must have known that. But his French polkas are some Polka mazurkas are as good as those from his elder brothers
