There's a Mustang in my little town with a Whipple on a Coyote. It's quick as hell, but not four tires planted fast like this beast. It sounds like what an angry effing hornet looks like.
It definitely makes me want to toss the turbo and go whipple on mine. Need a lot of added strength to engine and trans and driveline and everything though. Thats why the F one smokems is sweet! Stock truck + blower
When they first moved there he said a hub dyno was in the works. Something changed his mind maybe. It is definitely a different animal than the wheel dyno. Maybe the set up each time is daunting.
I’ve been lusting for a whipple since I got my first coyote F-150 in 2017. This was supposed to be the year I got it, even had approval from the wife. 1 day before they went on Black Friday sale, I got a letter from the IRS saying we made to much and owed them all my whipple money plus some…. Thanks for letting us live vicariously Cleet, maybe one day I’ll get one

@@davearmstrong5226 Yup. Cleet has talked about it on several podcasts, she's done. The chassis is maxed out so there's nothing to improve and work towards which means she won't make good content. It's not worth it to have a Leroy clone with a body so he's gonna go a different direction and build something new from the ground up. She was a staple of the channel and I miss her just as much as everyone else but it just doesn't make sense to bring her back from both content and business perspectives.
Put the dyno computer in the room behind it and run the cables to the monitor in the shop. Either the insane sound is vibrating it apart or the electromagnetic field the dyno creates is fucking with it being so close. Easy fix.
Yeah I'd definite say vibration is causing it, used to have issues like that with car PC's and loud sound systems. That environment is definitely extreme considering acoustic resonance, even for industrial grade equipment. The actual PC and power supply look fairly consumer grade too.
I love that when he realized that the tiny wheels would make an issue with the drive shaft, he says let's get a driveshaft before Friday, not let's order some tires. This man thinks outside the sphere.

FYI: The computer didn't start updating when you decided to dyno the truck. Windows updates had already completed, but the system needed rebooted to finish the updated. When you did your pull it caused the system to turn off (why, I have no idea). When you turned it back on, it completed the updates it was waiting for a reboot to complete. NOT the PC's fault. Upgrade your system once a week or two. You can create a scheduled task to do this for you in Task scheduler. Very easy to do, you can have the machine do it over night while you guys aren't there as to not interfere with your work days/dyno pulls.
Well now we need a whole shop wide Christmas carol! Lol that would be a true Christmas day miracle. George with the belts, james with the nos bottle, Sam with the shine, ty with a welded tree the list goes on!
