Just to answer a few questions:
The child does exist I just chose not to include her in this video because it wouldn’t be fair.
This could be rage bait but she has filmed herself giving the breakfast to her child so it’s impossible to tell (even if it is rage bait I still think it’s an unethical way to make money because she uses her child in some of the videos)
Some people thought i was suggesting she didn’t have to cut the donuts in half for the kid, but i was saying that she didn’t have to use the spoon to cut the donuts you could tear them in half 😂 she used a spoon to make it look like there was prep involved and to drag out the video to the 1 minute mark so she could make money from it (TikTok only pays for 1 minute + videos).
Some people suggest she may be low income which would explain the donuts but I mentioned in the video that the whole reason I disagree with her actions is because she films herself making bad food and makes the videos over 1 minute long in order to profit from them e.g. the donut video has 23 million views, the video is over 1 minute long and so is monetised, at a rate of $1 per 1000 views and assuming just half of the 23 million views qualify that leaves her with a payout of $11,500 from just one of these videos.
I want to make it clear I do not think she is a bad person, I don’t know her struggles, and I could never imagine how difficult it must be to be a mum. I only disagree with her using her child to make money on TikTok and refusing to invest this money into more nutritious meals by taking on the advice in her comments.
I’d also like to add there is absolutely nothing wrong with giving your child a treat or the odd “unhealthy meal” but when you film them for TikTok so you can get some money out of the views it’s unfair on the child.

It doesn't help that the donuts she's giving her child have aluminum and titanium in them, which is toxic to get in your bloodstream, like if you look on the ingredients list it's so processed an artificial and definitely nothing you should be giving to your kid. There are ways to make healthy meals that are nutritional with a low income.

People who really think that prepared food like that is cheaper for low-income families than buying ingredients have clearly never went grocery shopping lmaooo
An Uncrustable is NEVER cheaper than getting a loaf of bread and a jar of PB.
Two bags of mini donuts is the same price as a sack of potatoes AND a sack of carrots.

facts, my mom was skinny, got big, dad was the same, we had terrible eating habits. Mom got gastric band surgery, she had an ed when she was in hs, and all of that came back, it started with portioning and establishing portioning for me as well, and then over time it became very clear that my mom had relapsed in a different way. Getting appetite suppressants, wegovy when shes already small, specific doctors to give highly restrictive diets, and I became bullemic in 2020. Im turning 20 this year and I still have a terrible relationship with food, highly restrictive while binging, its gotten better but that body dysmorphia is clawing on my back. I just try to do better each day and know that I will establish healthier eating habits for my children (if i even have them) because I recognize how detrimental it truly is to mental development.

This is because when I was a child my step dad would give me adult sized portions, and get mad at me when I couldn't finish the plate. fruit and veggies are expensive, yes. but there’s plenty of places that do provide fruit and veggies for cheap. freezer veggies steamed are reasonably cheap and available even in budget stores, there’s plenty of food waste apps that give out budget or even free veggies and fruits, there’s also canned fruits and veggies that whilst may not be as ‘beneficial’ as fresh fruit or veggies are at least still veggies and fruit! i struggle with mental health issues and i understand how difficult some days it is to provide for even yourself a healthy meal, but there are plenty of things out there that require little money and little prep.

there was a family who lived next to us when i was growing up. the little girls were a bit younger than me. their parents/mom fed them like this but at the same time, ate "real" meals themselves. they didn't believe kids should have "nice food" and that the "good food" was for grownups. they'd give them each a breakfast lunchable (four tiny cinnamon rolls with a packet of icing to dip them into) and soda before sending them off for school. i went over for dinner one night and the parents ate a normal meal of meat and veggies. the kids got potato chips and a squirt of ranch to dip them into.
another family i was friends with in middle school were all morbidly obsese, including their young daughter. sleep overs meant only sodas, no water, and the mother would splurge on pizzas and junk food and then yell that we were "ungrateful" if we didn't eat it all. we're talking bags of candy, bags of chips, tubs of ice cream, etc. breakfast was cereal served with spoons of sugar poured over the top.
growing up and seeing stuff like this made me so grateful for my own parents. were they perfect? no. but at least there was effort and care there. my heart breaks thinking about these girls i used to know.
