That’s what I think as well. She has a really really good stage presence, her voice is just... beautiful. We don’t even need to talk about her dancing! And I can add that she has a really nice personality. I like her very much. She can only be more and more successful.
She looks like Tiffany, dances like BoA, and commands the stage like Sunmi - while being her own artist. She's the defining female solo artist of this generation, hands down.
@@friedchicken9553 I'm thinking about Tiffany's recent American releases. The platinum blonde hair, the attitude - quite a bit different from her Korean concepts.
The song was produced by Park Woosang! He made a lot of Mamamoo songs, great hits like You're The Best, Decalcomanie, TWIT, Selfish, Egotistic, Starry Night and much much more
seeing what's she's capable of makes me wonder if she could have even showcased her skills this well as part of a group. chungha is the epitome of a total package. being one the of the best dancers, an impressive singer, jaw droppingly beautiful and hypnotic stage presence. plus her personality, English skills, the bops...universal appeal y'all. and this comeback has to be my favourite. one of the most talented idols and soloists.
@@kianna1082 yeah but I've seen a few American artists kind of lose their English skills because they've spent so much time in Korea and vice versa so I guess it just depends on the person
For some reason I feel like Gotta Go,Snapping and whatever comes next are gonna be a holy trinity like the same way Sunmi has Gashina, Siren and Heroine (not to compare them though).
I'm torn on this video. Let me preface this by saying I can in no way be objective when it comes to Chungha. I love her so much I don't think I'll ever be able to dislike her work. I seriously think all it takes is one of those classic close-up shots on her captivating-ass eyes and you fall in love. On the one hand, I think it's much more technically impressive of a video than anything she's done to date. And I think it's her best choreo yet, and that's saying something because HOMEGIRL CAN FUCKIN WERK. But at the same time, I consider Gotta Go a masterpiece. The video isn't as impressive, but it's perfect for the song. It's classy as hell, as well as sexy, but in a chic way. Like, it's saying "I'm not trying to be sexy, it's just the way I am." And the song is just.... Mmmmh. It's so good. Idk man. Stream both Gotta Go and Snapping? Put both on alternating repeat, along with Chica? Works for me. Also that lightning scene my god.
It's all about different likes. I looooove snapping but gotta go was when chungha really snapped hard and had a very elegant yet sexy and strong song and dance and her confidence on stage was so blinding. I have such good memories of gotta go and I don't think chungha can top gotta go yet. Snapping is music video wise so amazing and obv no 1 but song wise and Era in all I still prefer gotta go. I will listen to both forever
agree with everything you said about the music video, but the one thing you didn't really focus on is the sheer charisma chungha brings which allows the simplicity of the sets to pop.. she is so amazing and I don't think this type of video would have been as successful for a different artist
her vocals in this song have to be my favorite so far. i love idols who are amazing dancers but are also incredible at singing live and chungha is IT. if y'all have any other female idols who you think are good at both singing and dancing lemme know so I can stan
I love the sound of Gotta Go so much more, but the music video for Snapping is so amazing and technically masterful. So proud of Chung Ha and excited for her future!
Everyone is saying the director is the same one for Taemin's Want MV... But I closely related it to Ailee's "Home" but a brighter feel to it... THIS is honestly a pure snap..... Was ready m. It's like playfully throwing shade with a friend and they cut you deep with a reply and you're not able to handle it... That feeling is is this video.. I just can't take it
@army n cheshire - clc fan! Oh wow this director has a very distinctive way to make a video seeing all of those in a row they all highlight the same things yet so perfectly different
honestly, i didn't realize that addition from the square format to the original video format(?) until you mentioned it kskdk it really was produced well that i didn't noticed an awkward piece being added or anything 👏🏼👏🏼
As soon as I saw music video i knew you’d love it. Especially with how much they played with the aspect ratio, and the shot with the background dancer’s shadows. Loved this video through and through.
everything about chungha is so flawless because they style her soooooo well and produce the songs perfectly with amazing choreo but it ends at how perfect she executes it all... its so amazing as a whole I think she will be very successful
OK, PD. I'm doing first watch with you from now on. You pick things out instantly and from a different perspective than most of us. Snapping is fire and your eye for detail is the same.
Blonde Chungha just owned the MV. I absolutely loved it. And the whole album just solidifies her music sense...its a powerful beauty and then has a nice beat for choreo on top of her heavy vocals. It all works together
The music video is hands down a masterpiece, so aesthetically pleasing. *However* I think I did expect more from the song itself. Nevertheless, it’s Chungha so I love her and the song is growing on me.
Chungha literally snapped with this comeback! She looks and sounds amazing, and this music video is NEXT LEVEL incredible!! I definitely agree, the song is very bouncy but also powerful at the same time, which I really like! I absolutely LOVE this comeback!
I couldn't wait to see your analysis of this because this mv is TRULY a work of art. At the drop of the first chorus with the dark set and the lighting I literally gasped "BOA" because I really think Chungha will be that iconic
I feel like gotta go had more point choreography and the beat is an iconic and interesting rhythm, for me gotta go is still my favorite because it was at a time where we needed something different in the kpop industry and she DELIVERED but then again I love snapping because it really does solidify this new sound that she is producing this year in her career, the music video being one of the best productions from a well known director. I really liked how he said “gotta go brought a new sound for chungha and snapping is now solidifying and molding into her own sound. many solo and idol groups lack having a unique sound and I think chungha does a great job giving off reminiscent vibes of iconic solo idols like boa, sunmi etc. while doing her own thing and that I think is the beauty of her work. Chungha is one of my role models and this song honestly is such a banger I can’t wait for what she puts out in the future because I know she will shock the world.
As soon as I saw the scene with Chungha with falling behind the smaller frame of herself I knew you would love it. It was such a cool effect, I was blown away when I watched it for the first time.
Yo i was mesmerized by the mv It was so incredibly good And that scene where she's falling in a sqaure frame and the sides start to flicker for the background was so cool ( 12:04 ) Im glad you explained it and fanboy over it lol cuz me too
I agree that when Chungha debuted people weren’t really sure if she was gonna take off after I.O.I or not; almost two years later she proved us all wrong by being by far the most successful ex-member
Thank u FOT for ur great analysis of Chungja 'Snapping' MV. Your good spoken English is such relief for those like me who can't understand d Korean language.
Finally. U know how many times I kept coming back to RUclips waiting for your reaction video. Thank you for pointing out so many things helping us understand how to substantially understand the production aspect of her MV. It is by far the best to date.
OMG! I LOOOOVED that you replayd it to analize the video, Thank You❤👌 I really loved looking at those little details. This comeback is beyond amazing, I haven't seen a video like snapping, OMG! her company really slayed.
If i find out BoA helped with song or was any part of ChungHa's process i might actually scream. She sounds and dances sooooooo much like BoA this comeback I'm both in love and want to cry. This should have been the type of comeback BoA had. HOWEVER ChungHa did so well and is so yes! I'm really starting to like her :) she honestly could be the BoA of THIS generation.

I liked the choreo and overall song for Gotta Go more but damn it will be hard to beat this mv visually and who doesnt get stunned by a blonde Chungha 😍
I haven't liked a single Chung Ha song, but I've got to put my hands up and say this song is so good. I usually can't stand her music but she seems like such a cool person. Really enjoying this song and the MV is super cool
blonde chungha with braids is something i didn't know i needed
Chogiwoah sjsjskskls saaaaame
It's something we all didn't know we needed, but we definitely do

Mood ! Nd why does your picture describe the moment i first saw it perfectly 😂💜💜💜 #loveit
Hands down one of the best music videos I have ever seen. Chung Ha is on top when it comes for the solo female artist, atleast for me.
That’s what I think as well. She has a really really good stage presence, her voice is just... beautiful. We don’t even need to talk about her dancing! And I can add that she has a really nice personality. I like her very much. She can only be more and more successful.
Chungha and IU are top 2 for me
She makes the aesthetic of the mv 10 times better.
•[vantesoo] • true!! She really does!! Like wow...
yesh!! My favs are heize chungha, sunmi and boa definitely 😍
As someone who really likes Chungha’s music I didn’t think she could do better than Gotta Go, but I was wrong
Same, snapping just break my expectation because it's HIGHER THAN WHAT I THOUGHT
SAME.
I'd say Gotta Go was a better song but the Snapping video was much much much better
@@shiks98 same
Honestly me too
She looks like Tiffany, dances like BoA, and commands the stage like Sunmi - while being her own artist. She's the defining female solo artist of this generation, hands down.
Paul Engelhard Also has a defined, soft style like IU! When you hear a Chungha song, it’s clearly her own
And sing like ariana
What part of her looks like Tiffany I’m failing to see it. She looks so fierce and foxy unlike Tiffany who gives off a feminine chic look.
The facts on this comment is way over the top and I agree!!!

WOAH this guys amazing!!!
Thanks for the info, is that why I feel that I heard Hwasa voice in this song.
How did he produce starry night tho? Its literally just a copy of prayer in c with different lyrics. Not being rude just weirded out
hands down for him

random viewer she need US debut asap hehe
I don't think she would've got to showcase her skills if she were in a group, kind of glad she's solo😎

i'm curious to see her next album's single. stay tonight is already incredible

Chung Ha: *I KNOW I KNOW*
