- Handmade travel vacation journal. This journal has a multitude of pages (at least 80) consisting of various papers, vintage ephemera, designer cardstock, linens and charms. There are plenty of pockets and tuck spots, while also giving you room for your own creative ideas and notions. I have 5 boys and my in laws purchased tine share when my twins were 18 months old they are now 28 any who they purchased in Branson Missouri. I Love Disney but Branson is our home away from home for vacations. Since finding this Junk Journal Community I have searched for thrift stores and craft malls to shop but the way I shop is in a different light and boy oh boy is Branson a honey hole for VINTAGE goodness!

You are so dang kind, thank you! 5 boys??! Are you sure you are human? We have four fat cats and they keep us on our toes constantly lol. I have no idea how time ahares work, ive always been interested in them. Growing up, we never went on vacations or traveled so im just now getting out of oklahoma. We went to Disneyland, it was so neat and whimsical. I did find the crowds and stroller families made me feel claustrophobic; but it was still a blast. Im a 42 yrs old but definitely feel frozen in my teens or 20s. Galveston is our home away from home, its mostly our vacay spot unless we are visiting fam in Phx. The water just does something for me nothing else can, it must be my being a Cancer. Once we get older and can afford to make such a long move (and a house 🤣) we are hoping to make the move down there. As much as i try to keep up with the Jones’ i would happily squat in a little shanty. Im sooo happy i found this community also, all of yall mean a lot to me! Its the one place i can ramble, infodump, and connect with shared interests. The community is so supportive in many facets, i love seeing people lift each other up and checking in on each other. Im hardly on FB anymore, all of my activity is on youtube.
Galv has so much history, the great storm of 1910 is bone chilling and i cant even comprehend the devestation and trauma those people faced. My fave shop down there is Hendley Market, they have a lot of stationery and vintagey things. I found some early 1900’s Galv student report cards, stamp collection papers, small bead packs, and trim. The owner saw my journal and knew it was actually a junk journal! Like what?! I was ecstatic so we infodumped and she gave me other recommendations i didnt know about. Ill have to make a video of everything for sure! Thanks so much for all of the support and reading all of this nonsense lol. You truly made my day, Have a great day/week! 🫶🏻

Omg thanks so much! Ive been trying to focus on TRYING to work on my layering and using more texture. It was so much fun to put together, it definitely made me want to travel and sink my booty in sand! Thanks for commenting and giving me attention 😛🫶🏻

Good Morning Danyelle! My favorite places to visit, is on the coast in Corpus Christi, TX, and then up north to Lake Erie, in Port Clinton Oh. There is a great seafood place called Harrison's Landing in Corpus, the food is great and the restaurant was floating on the water. I want to go back. I miss it. My fave season will always be fall. It is amazing to me. Anyway, your journal is super cute! Love all the color! I am currently working on a swap journal and the a secret journal. Never boring around here! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
Good day, Ive never been to Corpus. Weve thought about it each time we go on vacay, but im scared i wont love it as much as galveston lol. Are there any historic districts there with indie shops? My fave thing is to visit shops and go treasure hunting! My friend told me it was basically large chain restaurants and stores. I LOVE Fall as well, there is always a part of me that dreads it bc i know Winter is coming lol. Summer is when i come alive and thrive, truly. Theres just something about the season that gives me hope and makes me feel wild and free due to possibilities! I would love to see the journals you are working on. @@ButterBunBooks Hi Danyelle. We find all kinds of shops when we go to Corpus. But all pretty much beachy themed items, but I love that sort of thing. Last time we were there we found T-shirts that have images that turn full color in the sun. They were pretty cool, so my daughter and I both got one. I miss it for sure, it has been a couple of years since we have been there. As far as historical, they have the piers of course, there is the historic harbor Bridge, I am not sure about all the shops in those areas because we did not get to go to everything. For eating we went to Harrison's landing. It is great seafood, and it floats on the water, it was an amazing experience. I do hope that you will try it at some point, it is worth seeing for sure.

@@ThePaperMonkey i made them! I dyed some paper, stamped my name on it using a stamping platform, scanned them, and cut them out. I really need to make some vintagey neutral ones for the more traditional journals.
