    Czarno to widzę !
    Nic dziwnego że w oryginalnym filmie ostatnie ujęcie przed próbą lotu to portret Matki Boskiej

    How do you plan to lubricate the gears, get an oil can and squirt it before you ride. That needs to be enclosed, in a housing to where it can run in lubrication. it doesn't take much housing. All bearings take lubrication. The Oilite bearing made of sentered bronze are not good for very high loadings or run dry. The design is good but not finished.

    How would you control yaw? Fixed pitch with geared shafts... can't see how yaw is achieved. Great video

  • @petthekittyz
    @petthekittyz 14 лет назад +1

    I want one!!! Amazing!!!
    Still don't see how you are going to control yaw without blade pitch control independent of each other, or speed of the props independent each other, or a tail rotor

    • @mickmuzzmkmz1628
      @mickmuzzmkmz1628 4 года назад

      That's exactly what I was thinking. Also, all of the load stresses of the top rotor is placed on the shaft that runs through the vertical gears, which appears quite thin.

    This is a very simple and easy transmission to build arrangement, can you show the cylindrical housing you have created to cover and contain the oil. Have you tried it in a craft yet and what sort of lift does this have. What it the horse power running through it.? I wounder if these spider gears are up to the constant horse power being transmitted as they don't have that power running through them in the car unless your son is dropping continuous donuts in your car.

    you need 2 times as much blade separation ! I built one similar to that and with a gust of wind the blades would touch.
    don't make my mistake make the blade separation much larger ! ...at least 2 feet !

  • @forrestpittman1667
    @forrestpittman1667 3 года назад

    The Rotor head is very week, an if not reinforced will fatigue break right at the hub of the rotor head I have seen this happen several times with wind mills that were made with steel plate, which is alot stronger than aluminum, redesign and reinforcement of the rotor hub is very important a lot like the oh hell nut at the hub if it cam off. You need to understand the fatigue and flex of the blade hub where the blades are bolted on, as well as the root of the blade hub. The end flex of the prop is well known, that transfers down to the hub, that becomes a focus. So I suggest redesign and then not worry about falling out of the sky when you are having fun.

    @docscot11 Its simply an illusion. watch it again imagining they are counter rotating. you should see. @NickMonteleone he sees the top rotor as rotating in the same direction as the bottom rotor because he perceived it wrong. its called an optical illusion. the brain does weird things.

  • @jasoniod792
    @jasoniod792 11 лет назад

    @ Chris and Me. Thats not completly factual. You dont need 2 independent drives for this application. I do know that typically the 2nd or bottom rotor is usually on a slip type differential for the reasons you stated but rotor #1 is usually direct drive. Watch a tail rotorless operate sometime and you will see that all rotor 2 does is counter the centrifical force and rotates as needed. Not to mention the little bit of added lift.

    Good morning everyone, sorry, I'm ignorant in the matter but I am very interested, I have three questions for you experts:
    1 / coaxial exists in saving for autorotation ???
    2 / In the coaxial exists operation swashplate ???
    3 / Why is recommended not rise much with a coax ???
    I thank you for your answers.

  • @chrismofer
    @chrismofer 12 лет назад

    @Me102288 i don't fully agree that this is pointless for a no tail heli, because if you could change the pitch of the blades that's another way to differentiate torque and turn the heli.

  • @chrismofer
    @chrismofer 12 лет назад

    @Me102288 no i entirely understand that mechanism and not needing to counter for torque. but i'm saying for yaw control it would be used. because, yes, they are locked together.

    So I get how the contra rotating gears work , the gimbal and the chain, but how is the power transmitted from the engine to the smaller gear, when it keeps moving in all possible directions? Please keep the explanation simple for a total dilettante here.

    Your spider gears for this are hella cool. Are you planning on putting in small shocks on the final product to restrict motion abit and to also smooth out control operation for ease of control? Also was curious of the pitch angle on the rotors. How much pitch do you have on them?

      @mickmuzzmkmz1628 4 года назад

      Yeah, especially when you consider that the top rotor is only held on by shaft inside the vertical gears, you wouldn't want to introduce any excessive heat to this area.

    • @yetanotherjohn
      @yetanotherjohn 8 лет назад +1

      Perhaps he does not have to, if the setup eliminates torque induced side-thrust, and it can be steered 360 degrees by changing the angle of the head itself.

    • @JorgePPG
      @JorgePPG 8 лет назад

      bravo !

    • @mickmuzzmkmz1628
      @mickmuzzmkmz1628 4 года назад

      @@yetanotherjohn Yes, but it can ONLY change direction in pitch & roll (forward/backward & sideways left/right) with this setup, yaw change (rotating horizontally left/right) is impossible without some other means of imparting a yaw force, for example; a tail rotor specifically for yaw control (since it doesn't need to correct torque imbalance), a gyroscopic reaction wheel, compressed air control jets, or something similar. All these setups are an unnecessary weight penalty considering yaw function can be designed into a contra- rotating head in the first place. This design, albeit very neat, is flawed by it's own simplicity. It's fine if you don't want the ability to spin or face a different direction!😅
      There are better ways.
