Katey congratulations on your job in the book store!!!! That's so exciting! I totally get why that would be exciting for you -- I'd love to work in a book shop as well. Or a library. I have to find something to do when school is out in June, so I may check out some of my local book shops and see what I can find. I love sewing as well, so when you mentioned that sewing is a form of self-care for you, I can absolutely relate to that. I'd love to see some of the things you've worked on, if you felt like sharing? I'm not normally attracted to this kind of artwork, but RUclipsrs like you are starting to open my mind a LOT. Thank you for sharing with us!
Katey!! You are the first person that I've heard say this about the Empress card! OMG!! I love the way you put this so much! THIS DECK!!! Where has it been all my life?!?! I'm ordering immediately! Thank you so much for this review and sharing your thoughts.
Ah, how cool! For me this deck is also new. I got it from Little Red Tarot at the end of February. I saw Kasia from Tarot Map's video review and really loved it. I haven't had a chance to properly play with it yet and I am really looking forward to!
I love this deck! One of the best Queen of Cups and Empress!!! Just love reading with this deck...... thanks for the reminder it’s been sitting on the shelf for too long....time to bring her out again!!! It’s funny I don’t read reversals, but I do like using directionality with square and circular decks. Congratulations on your new job!!!! How wonderful to get a job I a bookstore!!!! One of the best things about Tarot is how it can help us find our way during the dark days.....
How wonderful to connect with a deck so powerfully. As to not picking it up sooner, maybe you weren't ready for it yet? I'm kind of the same way about it, I think it's interesting and I've been looking at it for a while, but haven't felt compelled to get it yet. Maybe down the road.
Souls Journey oh I agree! Part of me wishes I hadn’t written the deck off for so long, but the other part definitely appreciates that decks come to us if and when they should. 😊
I read reversed cards but square decks often scare me because there's 4 sets of meanings per card! Totally love the fact you didn't feel the need to "follow" the deck creator's intention and used it in your own way to much success; that's something I should learn to adopt. The corner suits are something all LWBs or reference tarot books should have!!!!! The Lovers really hit me hard -- such a cute depiction of mermaids. Thank you for sharing that story of the interview and reading with the deck. It was wonderful to hear your experiences with this deck :)
Thank you for the review. I have been on the fence for so long regarding this deck and have nearly purchased it many times. However your video has inspired me to take the plunge and buy it. The joy that you have found in it is tangible. And I love the fact that you describe it as portraying the fact that “the magical is in the everyday” - I couldn’t agree more - and it is something we so often overlook. I am very much looking forward to receiving it. The creatrix has a new coloured deck due in 2020 that looks absolutely beautiful. Thanks again
Love this review 💕! I remember watching your video a few months back when you had just got your hands on it I had never heard or seen it and had to have it after watching your video! It’s my absolute favourite! The creator is in the making of a new tarot deck called the mother deck coming out in 2020 it’s a more colourful deck 🙂
Hey @@KateyFlowers I was wondering if you read the wands and swords the traditional way in this deck or do you read it how she intended it for the deck? I just found that out and now I am not sure of getting it cause it looks traditional but I don't know if it will confuse me when reading with it. Thanks!
Esoteric Wolf I actually didn’t even realise the creator had switched the suits until your comment! So I have been reading with it as I normally would (Wands/Fire and Swords/Air) and I never felt that those associations didn’t make sense to me. Although knowing that that was the intention will be an interest thing to entertain and see how it changes (or not) my experience of the suits!
@@KateyFlowers That's great! It kind of bummed me out when I saw Scarlet Ravenswood's video on her thoughts on this deck and she mentioned the switch in the suites but it also confused me because I felt the images and it's symbolism matched with the traditional reading of the suites & the meanings/guide they have on their website also resonates with the normal reading of those suites. I don't know if Scarlet found out the switch from the guidebook but I did some digging on their website and she explains her switch of the suites because of her path of being a Witch where swords would be fire and wands air. I am so glad you can read it like normal! But I hope that I didn't create a different experience on how you read the cards!
Esoteric Wolf I totally understand, I definitely like my regular suite associations! It is mentioned in the book, but only briefly. And you’re right, I was surprised because nothing jumped out to me as especially unusual in the cards or what I have read of the guidebook (although clearly I haven’t read the whole thing!). And don’t worry, I won’t be changing anything that doesn’t work for me. I’m more just curious to do a reading or two with the change in mind and see if it brings any new/different insights, but I’ll definitely do whatever works best for me! 😊
So glad to see this deck getting such love! its a stunning deck & I would be lost with out it in my collection, definitely not an everyday pull for me its more of a guide though the fog when my brain starts succumb to dark, heavy clouds (tortured metaphor there sorry!).
First of all congrats on your new job, that's awesome news. I really loved how you discussed the literal visual representations that come up sometimes in tarot, this is actually something I have been experiencing more of late with a particularly impactful reading like this the other day. I really loved your review of this deck, it felt like a beautiful insight into your individual experience of the deck, the nuances and feelings you get. These are the type of reviews I enjoy the most because of this, it was like story time in the best way. This deck has been on my wishlist for a while now, I'm continuing to keep my eyes peeled for a secondhand copy so fingers crossed.
Damn it Katey! I had put this deck on my wish list after I saw your walk through--and then I kinda forgot about it--but now I'm feeling like I've got to get this deck!
I am madly in love with The Fool in this deck. It just encompasses the idea of possibility and wonder so fully. It's the faces of people in it that does it for me.
What are the cards in the “mental wellness” section? I don’t normally like decks showing more modern or even everyday imagery, but sharing your stories is making me rethink about it.
Katey Flowers At the beginning, when you use scrabble blocks to spell out words. One says “mental wellness” and I was wondering what cards were shown then.
I've only had this deck since I've been on a break from offering readings, so I haven't been in a position to have to think about that tbh! I'm not sure!

Omg your excitement for the deck is so infectious, I love it!❤ edit: congratulations on your new job in a bookstore. How amazing!
tarot student thank you! 😁
Thanks for sharing. My book does not have the directional keywords. It’s a pity they skipped this now

BoyDiviner I know! Isn’t the corner key thing the best?! I do adore the Lovers card, so unique yet perfect.

Can you do a review on the Alchemical Visions Tarot? An in-depth one, that gives your impressions of each card?? Thanks!! Love your channel!
I'm afraid I don't own that deck!
Thank you for sharing!!

reneedooma I’m sorry, I don’t understand your question.

Do you use this deck. reading for clients. After watching.. this deck, I already purchased it.. Thanks
