I lived in France for years, I couldn't stand most of their music: rap, pop, fake glam rock... almost anything I heard on the radio was terrible and I constantly jokingly mocked the French for it. There are some fantastic exceptions, especially in post-rock, But this is something else, this is astonishing. I take it back, France has produced something of an absolutely exquisite beauty, this album is utterly, utterly brilliant. Thank you so much as always for the fantastic album uploads!
I'm French and I agree so much with you. The radio is pure trash. If you want to discover some unconventional artists, please check Igorrr. These guys are madly genius !!
I started loving France more when I came to know about Alcest, Les Discrets and other Post-Metal bands hailing from France... Truly it's a beautiful country from every aspects ❤

The first 3 minutes of this album are just heavenly. I love this 'soft' kind of post-rock so much

You should try some of the compositions of Yann Tiersen.
