From an OG Hearthstone player that never got into Snap but has been into Pokémon TCG for a while and now Pocket, it's great to have some Dekkster back in my content rotation. Great vids as always, Dekks!
that second game really highlighted my biggest issue with this game in not having any agency over your energy compared to the tcg, in that scenario in the tcg you would just search the ones you need most of the time or at least know ahead of time whether your hand was full of energy or not and be able to play around it
I can see this being an issue, hopefully they release an item card that sets your next energy to a luminous energy (any color). For now, we gotta deal with the 1/8 chance of getting the same energy 4 times in a row.
@@ilikecheese2167 if they release more ways to interact with energy then it'll likely start feeling better but if this is how it is after testing I'm really worried, this is supposed to be the base set so I'd hope it's the most solid and consistent base for the other sets to work off of...
i Made the same deck but with tentacruel instead of weezing and misty instead of kuga, i think he's more tanky and the water energy is good. and it helps u in case u can't draw an ealry dragonite
If they made misty just equip one energy (or only work on specified water types), and make it so you can't get the same energy 3 times in a row when running multiple energy, the game would feel so nice lol
Haha can't believe i had same idea without looking the video😂 ive been using it , also i made up a combo with other water pokemon i use sleep instead of venom😂 they can't do nothing basically
You're not playing Weezing for the poison, you're playing it to be a wall that you can put up so you can build your Dragonite on the bench, and then use Koga to bounce the Weezing back to hand, denying points to your opponent. Have you even watched the video?
@@DiegoDeschain The Koga bounce is good, yes, but it's also relying on pulling koffing, weezing, and Koga, while weezing is not able to do direct damage because you aren't running dark energy. Starmie ex has higher hp, zero retreat, and can attack for 90 if you have spare water energy (which you can get from misty after deleting Koga). I'm not a pro. It just feels sub optimal.
@@F0XD1E by using starmie ex, you also need to pull starmie, starmie ex and misty, and also get lucky with misty, as you probably won't invest two rounds of energy for it instead of your dragonite line. Moreover, if your starmie ex is hurt, there's no way you can earn back those health points, unlike weezing, you can possibly get it back FULL HEALTH. Most importantly, if your starmie ex dies, it cost you 2 points, making it impossible to let any of your other Pokémon die, also making you very vulnerable to Sabrina if you got other low hp cards benched.
@@Otis_Worm Starmie isn't the best companion. That was an inexperienced comment. Needing two water is pretty limiting in a dragonite deck. I still don't like running weezing and Koga though. You may have a wall, but you're not doing much meaningful damage and then you're relying heavily on good dragonite spreads to get your 3 points. If nothing else, it's got no flexibility and is boring. I've had good results running hypno, farfetch'd, and frostmoth. They provide both sleep stall and actual damage, which makes it easier for dragonite to get the ko, rather than only poison damage. It doesn't really matter if two of them die because you should be picking up one kill on the way and winning on the first Draco. It's always possible to brick on the dragonite for a few turns and if you're not applying pressure then you're probably going to lose. You can only Koga twice, assuming you actually pull them.

Dev already said gonna fix this
@@joebowl8315 did they say how or just that it was going to come?
This is definitely a nice change up on the standard dragonite decks! Loving the spice dekks! Keep up the great content dude!
Dragonite is my favorite pokemon so I love seeing it do some damage

The deck should've been called "Drag On Night" 😂
The game literally tells you what is your next energy.

What is Meowth for?
Just need one more koga and then I can try out this deck
i feel like misty is coded to 9 out of 10 times be tails
I might build this deck later
Why weezing have tackle, why doesn't have Sludge Bomb or something like that
There will be one with a higher cost move eventually dw they have 100+ years worth of moves while marvel snap is just doing recolor of venom 🤣
how do you choose what energy you get?
random
Its at the edit deck section, you'll see it on the same row as accessories and highlight cards.
Ayyyyy our dogs are twins! Husky gang gang!
Haha can't believe i had same idea without looking the video😂 ive been using it , also i made up a combo with other water pokemon i use sleep instead of venom😂 they can't do nothing basically
I love this deck!
Slowpoke my beloved
coughing dragon vs hydrogen bomb!!
Tried this deck and the one I'm using with Dodrio was much better. lol.
You gotta stop putting the meowth in lists man
I don't really feel like poison is worth. If it could be played from the bench then it would be.
