Visited Sloss this morning on a scouting trip from NC for a shoot we’re doing. Immediately came back to my hotel and spent an hour watching this excellent documentary. Really well produced, and so insightful! While it’s been over a decade since this was produced and released, I appreciated it tremendously. Thank you for sharing it!
Sloss is an amazing place to see in person. A reminder of when America believed in bigger was better was thankfully preserved for future generations to marvel in a micro world.
One thing is for sure, larry langford was right. We didnt turn sloss into a productive place, and now we are a very culturally enlightened group of unemployed people. Seriously. Birmingham has next to no good jobs relative to its population.
