When I first heard the ancestor say that I would learn the tragic extent of his failings I did not think those failings would include being a Lovecraft super-villain. A character creating even one of these bosses is enough for a mad character in a Lovecraft story but this guy decides he wants to be the Michael Phelps of eldritch horror and just keeps getting gold medals in being a dick.

He had a perfect life, got bored, discovered ancient Lovecraftian shit in his backyard and killed pretty much everyone in order to gain the power of summoning horrific creatures and undead as slaves. -The Prophet knew about it, so the Ancestor drove him mad. -The Necromancer was helping him out. -The Swine Prince was a creature he summoned. -The Flesh is a big mixture of failed experiments. -The Brigand 8 Pounder is just a band of mercenaries he used to slaughter his townsfolk to keep his dictatorship flowing. -The Hag is a thot who he used for magic, but ditched when she got ugly from self experimentation. -The Siren is a little girl he sacrificed to C'thulhu for money and power. -The Crew is a group of pirates he drowned because they wanted to actually be paid for their job. Then he makes a random band of people clean up this whole mess, and the end of the world. This man is a professional in dodging responsibility.
He killed the little girl not just for jewels, but to keep his secrets about the girl hidden. And apparently the girl is homeless, so that's pretty fucked

The Ancestor was a really, really, REALLY fucked up, messed up, twisted, sick individual, who aspired in summoning, necromancy, eldritch power, alchemy and whatnot. To him, it mattered not how many people died and what the consequences would be, as long as he got more powerful. When he finally reached and released the power he so much craved, it drove him mad but also made him realize what he had done. So he cowardly killed himself to escape the consequences, but not before sending you the letter. At some point, all of this makes you wonder how the events would affect you and how you would turn out in the end... If someone you are related to and you are their heir is so twisted, then what about yourself?
Makes you wonder just how many people/heroes are YOU the player willing to sacrifice for your goal of stopping the eldritch horrors that await beneath the manor on the hillside? We force unsuspecting people to horrors beyond their imagining, all so that we may increase our power while gingerly bribing them with trinkets and alcohol. Should they die are we not bitter at the lost of our investment, and not at the loss of their life? Maybe we are not so different from those who came before us after all.

As an unholy enemy, doesn't it seem peculiar that the Prophet doesn't classify as human or anything like that? I mean he's just as human as the madmen. Is he basically undead at this point? It's kinda weird to think about, he seems more holy than not, like, an actual good guy in the storyline, like a good-good guy, I guess all madmen are like that, though.

The ancestors a really good villain you start out and it’s heavily implied he didn’t fully understand what he got himself into out of Bordem but as you go deeper you realize he new the full weight of what he was doing and the facade he’s put on becomes doubtable the things you were killing were all his creation the brigands who “are no longer welcome” were hired by him the waif he seemed worried about then horrified at what she became was a gift from him to the fish people the the Miller he “helped” became what it is now due to his occult rituals he even acts like the crimson court used to be just a party he had no control over

Not many but much, as it was uncountable. I envy the person who wrote all these. The atmosphere is being perfectly set as you reveal through the shady words. The voice helps a lot though.

In theory, this would be an award winning franchise. Following a band of misfit "heroes" slowly unraveling the Ancestor's intentions and his eldritch horrors. We all know Netflix/HBO/etc would mess it up though. Probably make it something like a Buffy The Vampire Slayer ripoff, mossing the entire point of the madness/insanity of everything.

He unleashes doom upon everything and everyone, got too stress out and kills himself, not before sending a letter to some random guy who might be a relative (or actually not who knows) where's he's like "yeah this land is yours by heritage, clean up the mess, please 😔"
Well the Shambler is a dimension hopping alien monster that hides in the darkness of the Estate for assumed centuries while the Collector is just there, he doesn't really have any lore apart from that he harvests heads to sustain himself. The Shambler is also from DD mythos, so you can research that if you want more in depth lore about it.
Interestingly, this means even the ancestor doesn't know what the prophet is. How he came to be what he was, how he knew the future, you don't know, he doesn't know and the prophet himself is likely to far gone to remember.
Prophets are supposed to by "God's messenger" by definition. A prophecy is their word. So we can pretty much assume that God sent it, or it's literally God.
So darkest dungeon is about a monster that brings forth even greater monsters, discovers his heroic side too late, and then proceeds to foist the cleanup on a descendant because he's still a monster?

I don't think you got the order exactly right. I think the pirates happened way earlier back when he had dealings with the mercenaries, and the pigs happened after he learned about blood magic (the siren being his first "project").
Looking at the texts, I would go with this order from first to last events. Some of these are guesses, but crew has to be fairly late since he was out of money at that point, flesh needs to be before swine prince since he discovered the warrens at that point, siren, necromancer, and hag had to be fairly early since all of those indicate him still having fairly respectable reputation. Cannon was probably consequence of the Prophet rousing the townsfolk to rebellion, he fed the townsfolk to the Swine Prince so that had to be after Cannon. Siren Necromancer Hag Flesh Prophet Cannon Crew Swine Prince
The best part of the DD lore is basically no one "alive" is the good guys. The bosses are twisted but a lot of them didn't deserve their fate or were carried away. Meanwhile the "heroes" are majority morally grey at best. The Jester murdered a king, the Bounter Hunter hunts people for cash, the Highwayman is a thug, etc. If anything, the player is a sudo bad guy for a majority of the game, hiring strongarms to clean house. At best they're mercy killing the abominations, but even then it's for personal benefit. The player is just a janitor for the Ancestor, pulled into this because they wanted inheritance. Only a few exceptions like our boy Reynauld are "good guys", but I don't know a lot about why he arrived at the hamlet yet.
Here is my theory, a game theory: The heir will actually turns into the Prophet in the subsequent cycle. The Prophet knows everything that will happens, because it has happened and remember that the heir starts *ahem ahem* spoilers *ahem ahem* later on which most likely drove him mad just like the prophet. The ancestors may actually be the descendants of the previous heir. If you remember, the heir gather people from all over to estate dive for gold and riches in his ruined estate. After the DD, suddenly the population of the hamlet is restored. Maybe all the heroes left, but the support structure stayed, from trinket and food sellers to blacksmith and the adventure guild, the hamlet returned to a bustling place with a maddened ruler who deposed himself, for fear of repeating the crimes of his ancestors, only to find his descendants fall to the same sin, the prophecy came true and he returned with warnings and prophecies.
The profit knew about what his real goal so HE showed him and became a madman... The witch loved fungaii and potions but HIS ambitions and curiosity turned her into a monster... The swing prince was a HIS failed summon that was fed with human meat but forsaken it because of its stupidity... The flesh was his failed summoning and instead of killing them HE made them live in the warrens and they fused together... The townsfolk revolted but HE hired a group of mercenaries along with helping them make a giant war machine and prolong his dictatorship... A kind woman wanted companionship but HE used her for jewels to fuel his ambition and turned her into a slave of the ocean... The men who were hired to reclaimed more tomes and old art, were sent to the bottom of the ocean only because HE didn't want to pay them anything... The ancestor is one of the most demonic monster of all these monsters,because he created them...

The ancestors a really good villain you start out and it’s heavily implied he didn’t fully understand what he got himself into out of Bordem but as you go deeper you realize he new the full weight of what he was doing and the facade he’s put on becomes doubtable the things you were killing were all his creation the brigands who “are no longer welcome” were hired by him the waif he seemed worried about then horrified at what she became was a gift from him to the fish people the the Miller he “helped” became what it is now due to his occult rituals he even acts like the crimson court used to be just a party he had no control over

Not many but much, as it was uncountable. I envy the person who wrote all these. The atmosphere is being perfectly set as you reveal through the shady words. The voice helps a lot though.
Look up words ? I don't think you need to look up anything, although they use some words that are not generally used you can still get what they are saying by listening to the whole thing or just guessing.

Well the Shambler is a dimension hopping alien monster that hides in the darkness of the Estate for assumed centuries while the Collector is just there, he doesn't really have any lore apart from that he harvests heads to sustain himself.
The Shambler is also from DD mythos, so you can research that if you want more in depth lore about it.

Interestingly, this means even the ancestor doesn't know what the prophet is. How he came to be what he was, how he knew the future, you don't know, he doesn't know and the prophet himself is likely to far gone to remember.
Prophets are supposed to by "God's messenger" by definition. A prophecy is their word.
So we can pretty much assume that God sent it, or it's literally God.

I don't think you got the order exactly right. I think the pirates happened way earlier back when he had dealings with the mercenaries, and the pigs happened after he learned about blood magic (the siren being his first "project").
At the start of the siren boss fight he says "THEY remade the poor girl." I don't think she was a project, she was more of a payment or sacrifice.
Looking at the texts, I would go with this order from first to last events. Some of these are guesses, but crew has to be fairly late since he was out of money at that point, flesh needs to be before swine prince since he discovered the warrens at that point, siren, necromancer, and hag had to be fairly early since all of those indicate him still having fairly respectable reputation. Cannon was probably consequence of the Prophet rousing the townsfolk to rebellion, he fed the townsfolk to the Swine Prince so that had to be after Cannon.

The best part of the DD lore is basically no one "alive" is the good guys. The bosses are twisted but a lot of them didn't deserve their fate or were carried away.
Meanwhile the "heroes" are majority morally grey at best. The Jester murdered a king, the Bounter Hunter hunts people for cash, the Highwayman is a thug, etc.
If anything, the player is a sudo bad guy for a majority of the game, hiring strongarms to clean house. At best they're mercy killing the abominations, but even then it's for personal benefit. The player is just a janitor for the Ancestor, pulled into this because they wanted inheritance.
Only a few exceptions like our boy Reynauld are "good guys", but I don't know a lot about why he arrived at the hamlet yet.
Here is my theory, a game theory:
The heir will actually turns into the Prophet in the subsequent cycle. The Prophet knows everything that will happens, because it has happened and remember that the heir starts *ahem ahem* spoilers *ahem ahem* later on which most likely drove him mad just like the prophet.
The ancestors may actually be the descendants of the previous heir. If you remember, the heir gather people from all over to estate dive for gold and riches in his ruined estate. After the DD, suddenly the population of the hamlet is restored. Maybe all the heroes left, but the support structure stayed, from trinket and food sellers to blacksmith and the adventure guild, the hamlet returned to a bustling place with a maddened ruler who deposed himself, for fear of repeating the crimes of his ancestors, only to find his descendants fall to the same sin, the prophecy came true and he returned with warnings and prophecies.

The witch loved fungaii and potions but HIS ambitions and curiosity turned her into a monster...
The swing prince was a HIS failed summon that was fed with human meat but forsaken it because of its stupidity...
The flesh was his failed summoning and instead of killing them HE made them live in the warrens and they fused together...
The townsfolk revolted but HE hired a group of mercenaries along with helping them make a giant war machine and prolong his dictatorship...
A kind woman wanted companionship but HE used her for jewels to fuel his ambition and turned her into a slave of the ocean...
The men who were hired to reclaimed more tomes and old art, were sent to the bottom of the ocean only because HE didn't want to pay them anything...
The ancestor is one of the most demonic monster of all these monsters,because he created them...

Two make me more pissed at the ancestor then anything else the Prophet lore and the Siren lore makes me wonder what the sequel is going to do since it outside of the hamlet

So this narrator is basically just Joseph Curwen.
Pretty much a remix of all the antagonists of Lovecraft's novels. I assume Curwen was their biggest inspirtation as his trajectory is pretty similar.
