Exactly. For the price, you expect premium content and that isn't happening. Instead RUclips is being flooded by AI generated news content with many bots replying just to harvest peoples' data. You can tell an AI generated video by the sound as it's usually not as good as a real content creator. You can hear a slight buzzing to the voice and they also have a video somewhere on their channel telling you how you too can generate AI videos.
I've been a premium user for a few years. I find YT almost unwatchable without premium. I love your analogy about buy back your time. Time is more precious than some people think.

I also get all of my music from RUclips also and the sheer amount of music available is just outstanding, whether if it's from the early days of rock right up to today. Even household pets and domestic farm animals know what a great deal it is. And having Darren let us know all the great stuff going out and where you can find it. It can't be beat.

I have been a subscriber to premium for a couple of years. I’ve never ever regretted buying it. I don’t have cable tv so it’s my go to entertainment source for casual viewing. Edit: I also subscribe to the family plan. My wife and I have vastly different interests and I don’t want a load of sewing machine videos in my recommendations, so it’s really useful.
I became a full time RUclips Premium user since Covid confinement and I am subscribed to more than 250 channels, most of them with premium quality information I don't find anywhere (this one included). Don't have to say that this literally changed my life as a user. There are some features in the RUclips Music App I do not like but I really don't care. AWESOME AD FREE LIFE!

Premium is worth more than Prime and Netflix together. I love old movies , premium is worth its weight in gold. I find the rarest and impossible to find movies all over RUclips! I love 50s and 60s SciFi and RUclips is packed full. Its not illegal because theyre shared for free and not charging for them. I never even use my prime or Netflix any longer because the selection is so much better.
I tried it for a month and decided it's not worth it for a couple reasons. Big one is I have alt accounts for gaming and my woodworking hobby, respectively, and my connected accounts don't also get premium. Other reason is I can skip the majority of ads. Although admittedly, the loud, annoying ones are terrible with headphones in or when I'm watching something quiet that suddenly cuts to a really high volume ad.
Ads will eventually come, just a lot less, at first. Just look at cable TV, satellite radio, etc. I also don’t like how they crap on creators they don’t like, unsubbing people, shadow banning, and demonetizing channels while still running ads to their (RUclips) benefit only.
RUclips music is not why I started paying for premium, but once I had it, I stopped Amazon music and switched. RUclips music also has more options, because you can add regular RUclips videos (such as a live performance) to your RUclips music playlist.

I got it when it was called youtube red because it was the only way you could watch Cobra Kai at the time. I kept it because of my 3-8 hour ambience videos that really really need to be ad free. No ads is awesome and there are other benefits.
I've used RUclips premium for years, and I love not getting constant ads. I don't have RUclips cable, though, because I dislike the concept of paying for channels that I don't use. If there is ever a service that allows one to pick and choose which cable stations one wants (and doesn't want) to watch, I may reconsider.
I've been a YT Premium member for about a year now. will never go back. I often spend an hour or two on RUclips a day, and would spend less time if I had to watch ads. Both of my kids who are in college and on limited income, are paying for their own YT Premium memberships themselves. So worth it.
RUclips premium pricing varies from country to country. Here in the Philippines, I only pay $2.80 a month. The reason i subscribe to Premium is listening realxing ASMR role play with background play when im taking a nap or get some sleep. A cool feature! 😊
I watch allot of various video content on regular You Tube during the day, so I do have the premium account. I do You Tube more than Streaming services. My setup I have a PC laptop with HDMI. I then connect my Laptop to my large LCD Display via the HDMI cable. Then have a wireless keyboard/mouse to control my You Tube viewing. Yes it does knock out the Ads, but also now finding content creators are imbedding their ads within the videos themselves. Kind of annoying, but I quickly skip over them to get to the main topic of the video. I am glad most of these they just do one imbedded Ad. Premium is great for me when watching You Tube movies and not have annoying Ads pop up all the time. I can sit back and enjoy the entire movie. All in All, I like the premium You Tube services. I listen to a lot of podcasts and being able to download them on my devices and watch them at work is great. Plus sometimes I just need the audio of the podcast so turning off the screen while the video is still playing is so convenient.

Outside of a few stints due to personal circumstances, I’ve had RUclips Premium the majority of the time ever since it came out in 2014 as RUclips Red. The ad-free service is so huge especially since I’ve seen it for myself how badly the ads have gotten over the years. In 2014, they weren’t that bad. In 2018, I was surprised with how much more often they were but felt moderate to me. Then in 2023, my goodness was it awful seeing how often ads showed up in the middle of videos. My one knock on the service is that there’s no option for an annual plan or if there is, you can’t have it selected from Apple which is what I do through my Apple account. If they could make that widely available, I would be all on board for a yearly subscription. I personally like to choose anything yearly because it does save money although you have one massive hit you have to take but you don’t have to worry about paying anything until the following year so it clears things up.
The problem I have with ytube is playing movies the sound is awful the movie is low in sound and then the ads blast you out of your chair. Have new 80 in LG smart tv do not have sound problems with netflix hulu etc So would this go away when when pay for ad free. What about the sponsored podcast I resent this and do skip plus thumbs down Tired of being monitized. Amazon just flashed a banner saying will be adding ads to Prime video or an extra 2.99 per month where does it end
Interesting, i have had Premium since the RED days and never realised so many of these app features were Premium only. I initially subscribed mainly for the music as the algorithm was so much better and getting ‘my’ music right than the others. Then i got drawn in to the video side as it was so seamless and enjoyable to watch ad free. Love it.

I got youtube premium way back when for free when i bought my last new phone and after a couple years the free deal ended, but i could not go back to watching ads. The only downside is youtube music leaves some room for improvement. The radio feature was a great way for me to find similar songs and artist based on a certain song, artist, or album i was getting into, back on Google play... but my God the algorithm on yt music's radio feature is laughable most of the time and sometimes it would play the last 10 songs you listened to regardless of the artist you select and often just throw oddballs into the queue for no reason. Recently i had a radio playing for seether and put of nowhere it threw in a sturgill simpson song. It also loves to throw Clutch into any tangentially related rock Playlist. I like Clutch but i wouldn't sort them into the same box as something like korn

I got RUclips premium back during election time to stop the commercials. Almost 4 years later and was worth it every penny ! All other added features are icing in the cake! I love it.
What's sad is that RUclips is a monopoly. All these features and more (SponsorBlock, true dark mode etc) were available in Vanced but they made it more closed (like every other social media nowadays). 2019 was peak social media
I’ve had premium for a long time now, and I don’t think I can go without it. It was the answer to Google play leaving and I really didn’t have a choice but it’s been a pretty good payoff.
I don't mind the skip-able six second ads, but now many are 15 or 30 seconds and are not skip-able. It's really getting annoying, especially when the ads behave differently on my computer and TV. I think I'll give the premium free trial a try.
I subscribe to premium just so I don't have to sit through a ton of commercials that constantly rotate through. The absence of commercials is worth the extra cost for me!

There are soo many adds on RUclips now, that it's almost unwatchable. You can't even watch a 3minute clip without it being broken by adds. Is it worth paying the extra for no adds ...... no, because more and more content makers are combining paid sponsor adds in their content.
Not sure how many people know about it but you can get the Family subscription for RUclips premium and you can share it with 5 people. I've paid 6 dollars for a year full subscription!! (In my country*)

Kinda missed some major points about RUclips TV. Yes it is cable but much cheaper. No contract and can cancel anytime. Plus local tv stations from your area. I have had RUclips TV for about 2 years and I’m completely happy with it.

Lucky enought to be included in my best friend's YT Premium account. I use YT as my sole music player in the car, as well as around the house. No way I would watch as much YT with commercials!

I get more value from mu RUclips Premium account than any other streaming service. I do pay for the family plan. They are not currently policing that "household" requirement.
you can still see Sponsors which are also seen by google own search as advertising are also marked as sponsors ( Type ( Sponsor ) and see what every search sees it marked under Google ( advertising ) - you know ( AD or ADS )
Is this still a thing? I got a couple of questions to either un-install my Ad-blocker or buy Premium from YT a long while ago but I just ignored it and never heard from them again. SO I still watch YT fine with Ad-blockers on so why should I pay for Premium?

YT threatened to disable viewing if I didn't un-install it but then I would just switch to FireFox instead of Crome that I use today, because they wont comply with YTs demands. Idk why any company would advertise on YT since they are selling a solution to avoid said commercials. Isnt that a bit "Catch 22"? I rather support good content creators with Patreon etc.

I chromcast to my TV with my phone. By switching between YT Shorts and regular videos, I can cut out all the ads. 😊

I got it when it was called youtube red because it was the only way you could watch Cobra Kai at the time. I kept it because of my 3-8 hour ambience videos that really really need to be ad free. No ads is awesome and there are other benefits.
I've used RUclips premium for years, and I love not getting constant ads.
I don't have RUclips cable, though, because I dislike the concept of paying for channels that I don't use. If there is ever a service that allows one to pick and choose which cable stations one wants (and doesn't want) to watch, I may reconsider.
I've been a YT Premium member for about a year now. will never go back. I often spend an hour or two on RUclips a day, and would spend less time if I had to watch ads. Both of my kids who are in college and on limited income, are paying for their own YT Premium memberships themselves. So worth it.

I watch more RUclips than Netflix, so it’s worth it for me. Plus I hate ads. I don’t mind the sponsorship blurbs from creators though.

RUclips premium pricing varies from country to country. Here in the Philippines, I only pay $2.80 a month. The reason i subscribe to Premium is listening realxing ASMR role play with background play when im taking a nap or get some sleep. A cool feature! 😊

I watch RUclips more than any other media…premium is well worth it for me.
I watch allot of various video content on regular You Tube during the day, so I do have the premium account. I do You Tube more than Streaming services.
My setup I have a PC laptop with HDMI. I then connect my Laptop to my large LCD Display via the HDMI cable. Then have a wireless keyboard/mouse to control my You Tube viewing.
Yes it does knock out the Ads, but also now finding content creators are imbedding their ads within the videos themselves. Kind of annoying, but I quickly skip over them to get to the main topic of the video. I am glad most of these they just do one imbedded Ad.
Premium is great for me when watching You Tube movies and not have annoying Ads pop up all the time. I can sit back and enjoy the entire movie.

Well worth it. RUclips music alone makes it worthwhile. Excellent selection and variety of artists and songs. Underrated IMO.
I've been using RUclips premium for about a year. Once you experience it you just cant go back. That free trial is a clever touch...they know what they're doing.
I listen to a lot of podcasts and being able to download them on my devices and watch them at work is great. Plus sometimes I just need the audio of the podcast so turning off the screen while the video is still playing is so convenient.
worth it just for no ads. this is a great sub i was watching this just to learn if content creators get snubbed when i don't have to view their ads. i might have missed it but i didn't hear anything about that here
If I could only have one service it would be YT premium. Over Netflix, Hulu, HBO, all of them.
Outside of a few stints due to personal circumstances, I’ve had RUclips Premium the majority of the time ever since it came out in 2014 as RUclips Red. The ad-free service is so huge especially since I’ve seen it for myself how badly the ads have gotten over the years. In 2014, they weren’t that bad. In 2018, I was surprised with how much more often they were but felt moderate to me. Then in 2023, my goodness was it awful seeing how often ads showed up in the middle of videos.
My one knock on the service is that there’s no option for an annual plan or if there is, you can’t have it selected from Apple which is what I do through my Apple account. If they could make that widely available, I would be all on board for a yearly subscription. I personally like to choose anything yearly because it does save money although you have one massive hit you have to take but you don’t have to worry about paying anything until the following year so it clears things up.
The problem I have with ytube is playing movies the sound is awful the movie is low in sound and then the ads blast you out of your chair. Have new 80 in LG smart tv do not have sound problems with netflix hulu etc So would this go away when when pay for ad free. What about the sponsored podcast I resent this and do skip plus thumbs down Tired of being monitized. Amazon just flashed a banner saying will be adding ads to Prime video or an extra 2.99 per month where does it end
Interesting, i have had Premium since the RED days and never realised so many of these app features were Premium only. I initially subscribed mainly for the music as the algorithm was so much better and getting ‘my’ music right than the others. Then i got drawn in to the video side as it was so seamless and enjoyable to watch ad free. Love it.

I got youtube premium way back when for free when i bought my last new phone and after a couple years the free deal ended, but i could not go back to watching ads. The only downside is youtube music leaves some room for improvement. The radio feature was a great way for me to find similar songs and artist based on a certain song, artist, or album i was getting into, back on Google play... but my God the algorithm on yt music's radio feature is laughable most of the time and sometimes it would play the last 10 songs you listened to regardless of the artist you select and often just throw oddballs into the queue for no reason. Recently i had a radio playing for seether and put of nowhere it threw in a sturgill simpson song. It also loves to throw Clutch into any tangentially related rock Playlist. I like Clutch but i wouldn't sort them into the same box as something like korn

@JaxNole61 I said Playlist but meant the queue of the station I chose and the suggestions for songs based on certain genres or artists will often have no relation to what I selected

I got RUclips premium back during election time to stop the commercials. Almost 4 years later and was worth it every penny ! All other added features are icing in the cake! I love it.
What's sad is that RUclips is a monopoly. All these features and more (SponsorBlock, true dark mode etc) were available in Vanced but they made it more closed (like every other social media nowadays). 2019 was peak social media

I’ve had premium for a long time now, and I don’t think I can go without it. It was the answer to Google play leaving and I really didn’t have a choice but it’s been a pretty good payoff.
I love my YT premium!! I use the music app the most, and no ads on my videos are great
I don't mind the skip-able six second ads, but now many are 15 or 30 seconds and are not skip-able. It's really getting annoying, especially when the ads behave differently on my computer and TV. I think I'll give the premium free trial a try.
I subscribe to premium just so I don't have to sit through a ton of commercials that constantly rotate through. The absence of commercials is worth the extra cost for me!
HELL YAAAAAA, I am on RUclips Premium for almost a 4 years now, I usually pay it annually, only a thing is not automatically renewed, you have to renewed it every year, They let you know when, You also get free RUclips music with it with podcasts and all LOOVE it , ..after all LOOOOVIN ITTT, never go back to the old RUclips with ad, HELL F*n NAH, Even I have a RUclips TV since 2017, get the Chromecast TV dongle for your TVs too ,then You're all set works GREAT all together.. all my streaming services is without ads such as I have all of them F*** ads 👍🤘👌🙏🤙
My favorite thing about RUclips premium is, thatmost of the time I like to listen, and when you watch RUclips like that the ads really get in the way!

If you have RUclips premium there is no need for Spotify
There are soo many adds on RUclips now, that it's almost unwatchable. You can't even watch a 3minute clip without it being broken by adds. Is it worth paying the extra for no adds ...... no, because more and more content makers are combining paid sponsor adds in their content.
RUclips red has made my ability to listen to so many things. Also the music is handy as well. Way better the cable
Not sure how many people know about it but you can get the Family subscription for RUclips premium and you can share it with 5 people. I've paid 6 dollars for a year full subscription!! (In my country*)

It's ad free currently, but how long before YT is following the pack & slipping ads into the Premium service??? I'm so sick of being thrown under the bus, like what Amazon is doing. I don't even have the option of avoiding commercials on AP anymore. AP has ruined it's music app & I don't trust that YT won't follow the other streaming services.
Kinda missed some major points about RUclips TV. Yes it is cable but much cheaper. No contract and can cancel anytime. Plus local tv stations from your area. I have had RUclips TV for about 2 years and I’m completely happy with it.
I've had YT premium for a very long time. It's especially great for watching full lenghth movies or listening to music. I've never liked YT TV it's got an annoying UI.
I agree, RUclips TV doesn't even seem like a product they're interested in improving or even promoting. That whole system of TV networks is collapsing.
I just got it to try it out because I use the lofi/ambience videos to write/read/sleep and it’s so disruptive when there’s a loud ass ads every 10-15 minutes.
Lucky enought to be included in my best friend's YT Premium account. I use YT as my sole music player in the car, as well as around the house. No way I would watch as much YT with commercials!

I remember when youtube didnt have ads in the video, the ads were just clickable images on the side,, i could make a playlist of music for a party without interruptions,, it was free, it was perfect
I watch a lot of YT so no ads Premium is worth it, plus YT Music does a good job of introducing new stuff (to me) based upon my likes in its various Mixes Channels.

I get more value from mu RUclips Premium account than any other streaming service. I do pay for the family plan. They are not currently policing that "household" requirement.
You can minimize the screen and it still plays… this alone is well worth it.

Is this still a thing? I got a couple of questions to either un-install my Ad-blocker or buy Premium from YT a long while ago but I just ignored it and never heard from them again. SO I still watch YT fine with Ad-blockers on so why should I pay for Premium?

@@ZebraActual u-block Origin. Never had to see one commercial ever. YT threatened to disable viewing if I didn't un-install it but then I would just switch to FireFox instead of Crome that I use today, because they wont comply with YTs demands.
I always hated being forced to do stuff by companies and specially in this BS "create the problem (commercials) and then sell the solution (Commercial free Premium service". Idk why any company would advertise on YT since they are selling a solution to avoid said commercials. Isnt that a bit "Catch 22"?
