Love my Lyra so much - running a hybrid mastering rig through it, and it’s just pristine. I actually just finished setting up a second mastering rig around a Lyra, running Reaper under Linux - and it’s operating flawlessly.
@@thismixissick Yeah I was between the Lyra and the ad+. Finally I decided go for the Lyra2. I think is more than enough for me. I love how tick and solid your mixes sounds. Congrats!
@@Spunkbreaker fantastic, and thank you! I’ve been there as well and went for Lyra as it sonically just delivers stunning sound on both DA and AD, and that’s what I was after for the conversion.
Hi, I’m considering buying an atlas, just needed to know if you do any tracking with the lyra and does the usb hold things back in terms of latency? Thanks 🙏🏼
@@111calling there’s great ITB clipping options, such as StandardCLIP, but analog clipping is fundamentally different as it never shaves off a peak straight.
Do you clip lyra with overkillers turned off?
Thanks for a great video and for the insight, Bram.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Sounds great man! Totally with you on the Lyra in mastering, incredible conversion quality.
Are you able to bypass the line amps on the Lyra? I’m assuming this would be done in there software suite somewhere.
Thank you for this! I know Luca Pretolessi was using the Lyra 1 before the dangerous Music AD+. This one sounds AMAZING.
That’s great! Love his work and energy. Dangerous AD+ is fire as well, especially if you want a bit more tone out of the AD, same for Crane Song.

can i clip my lyra 2 without any analog gear only use Xlr Cable
Yes, only on the DA side.
can you show the setup and how the signal flows in order to clip the lyra?
Using the output of the SSL Fusion to determine how hard I’m hitting the AD side of the Lyra
@@thismixissick ssl into the line inputs on the back of the Lyra right? or using the mic pre's in the front?
Yes!

Great pick! I don’t track, but expect that it won’t give any latency. If you want to be sure, reach out to Prism. They’re great!
Bro, do you clip or brickwall limit (with plugins ) instruments during mixing stage so as not to saturate the clip on the master ? cheers
That's one of the many ways to go, if needed.
So are you able to clip your whole mix? or just outboard synths/drum machines?
I only master and don’t have experience with clipping in the production stage.
@@thismixissick and is this clipper way better than say Newfangled Audio saturate? or any other software clipper?
