- SpaceX is EXPANDING the Starlink Beta to Germany and New Zealand and expanding in the UK.
SpaceX also announced a new factory in Austin, Texas, to design systems that will help make satellite dishes, Wi-Fi routers, and other equipment for its Starlink satellite broadband network. This should really help accelerate the Starlink expansion.

@@koeber99 Yeah, i have been using it since march 20th and its great. Last few days, nearly no downtime and speed are around 150-300 ping is stable enough for Gaming.
I am in South Africa (rural area) and I am dying for Starlink to get here man. Any news on when I can expect it?
Africa will be late 2021
Central Pennsylvania, deposit paid, no notice of activation date other than 2021. I cannot wait...
Im waiting for that star link jail broken software
What happened to the hacking project? I watched all videos in hope for some engineering. Not really news...
Yes. Got an invite close to Munich. Quite south-east-ish. But I'll leave the bandwidth to others, as I already got okay (50mbit) interwebs for an okay price. Too expensive for the fun.
It's been a while man, hope you're okay
Mike, might you be telling us how the service is , dependability, speed etc... Thats what we want to know. I'm in NH and waiting for shipment of dish.
Waiting, in Jamaica.
I’m in Glasgow, Scotland and I have ordered mine last month, hopefully once it arrives I will let you know how it is.
My sister who lives north of Hamburg has received confirm to get Starlink. ETA is some time during the summer of 2021. I am particularly keen getting Starlink in Sweden outside of Stockholm. have only heard that Norway is supposed to be one of the first countries in Scandinavia to get it. Do correct my if you have heard differently or have heard when Sweden is getting it. Cheers ;-)
I'm in Montana, I paid my $99 but have received no notice of anything else?
order is on its way! should arrive by the end of march apparently . New Zealand
I've had my terminal up and running for a month now in rural Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand.

India also registration start
Here in Ireland they started sending out invites to order near the end of February. It mentions the service will be be live mid to late 2021, at least here in Co. Donegal (north west of Ireland). Going by the order page, hardware is €499, service is €99/month and delivery is €61. I currently have a reasonably good 4G connection, so will hold off for now due to the high cost, but will certainly consider ordering it if my 4G speeds deteriorate too far.
aruba got the pre order invite and mentionedit will be available in 2022
Mike could you get the measurement in MM on the base pole of dishy. I know you have a destroyed dishy. I want to make a sleeve for my Hughesnet tri pod stand with my 3-D printer, so when dishy comes I will be ready. Also how far up from bottom are the pins to hold it in.
Thanks
Hi Ron, did I get that measurement in my unboxing video? ruclips.net/video/3sFZOEfP57E/видео.html If not I'll get the details for you. Thanks for watching!
QUÉBEC WHERE IS QUÉBEC !!!!!!
Isn't it already working and available in Quebec? I'm here in Ontario using it and am curious why not there?
I ordered mine on Feb 27 still waiting I live in ky
In fact - this technology is very advanced and it is expensive. At start, I think owners will be rich persons. NATO and military will be first users globally. OK. I agree - dish is 500$ worth, but 100$ for access in the month? It can handle only small villages with LAN installation between 10 users who pay 10$ each. At the start Elon did say about 5$ for access. Maybe after 10 years? we can get individual Starlink systems in every home... I don`t know.
Does anybody knows if Starlink can be shared by several households or is it forbidden by contract, as with domestic fixed broadband subscriptions?
@@davidfdzp I don`t know about it. In Latvia we pay about 10 Euro for 1 hotspot. It means we can make local wireless LAN and use it without limits. :)
Australian here. I install Satelite Pay TV and I am telling all my regional customers that do not haver access to the NBN to look up Starlink. So many have never heard of it.
I am 60 miles south of the US Canada border in Montana. I have already paid the deposit but not one peep from starlink. I have no cell, land line or internet here, really need this.
Yeah I'm in the same boat in the upper peninsula of MI. If I were 30 miles south it would be a go apparently.
Me to, just out side of Great Falls. waiting, waiting
I am in Australia and got the starlink now avaliable for order mid 2021
you can use it now, except your latency will be higher because it will go through Newzealand hub, but nothing that significant, probably +20-30ms
I live in Tasmania Australia
I got an invite about 3 weeks ago I signed up the the day the invite arrived
It's ironic that you mention this because I was commented ona news article just weeks ago whith a guy from Tasmania that was compianing that they were being left to last (expected service date wasn't until 2022). as it turns out, Tassie is getting it first.
Netherlands wants to order. Smalltime. ⛳️
Shouldn't be far off, but I haven't seen any details on licensing there.
@@MikeOnSpace people in The Netherlands is receiving now emails so they can order it, to be available second half of 2021. Same in Spain.
Keep those Dishy's and Satts coming! I hope I can at least get Starlink before the end of this year. I mean I live on the East Coast of United States so I would only hope that they wouldn't leave a lot of us out this year. :(
I'm in Louisiana. Been signed up for a while now (about a month) so just waiting for them to expand down here and hopefully get an invite sometime soon. It's badly needed.
italy too! I've got the invite to order with estimated availability this summer
From one Mike to another, thanks for the video’s. how’s your Starlink internet working? Muskoka Ontario is where I’m from.
Muskoka is a gorgeous area. I imagine we'll be seeing a ton of Starlink dishes out in cottage country as they roll it out:) Starlink's been pretty amazing! I do a lot of video calls from home for my day job and it's not quite consistent enough for me to use it there. I'm planning on doing some live streaming through Starlink so I can share some more details on how it works for that. Thanks for watching!
Here in Huntsville - I got it last week. Working very well just as others have noted. Had some weather move through today - signal stayed very strong.

I'm in Nova Scotia Canada, I put in a pre-order for my kit about a month ago. They are saying for northern Nova Scotia Service will be available between the middle of 2021 or late 2021. I don't know where you are specifically Nova Scotia, so I'm curious to how you got your kit instead of having to wait the same amount of time is the northern part of the province where I am. 🇨🇦
Watched two ads all the way thru... just for you mike
Hi Mike. Love your videos. On Feb 11 I received an email inviting me to place an order for Starlink, which I did, from Noojee Victoria, Australia. So Australia is definitely included in this rollout. Due mid to late 2021.
I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. After registering interest back in December I got an email in mid-Feb that I can now place an order with a payment due now of 1 month service fee (AUD$139) and I would get the hardware (billed later at AUD$709 + AUD$100 shipping) in mid to late 2021.
I want to point something out for those who want Starlink but not available in their state, you still can use it, it will not be pointing straight up, but tilt depends on your location, so if you are in the southern states, download their app, and make sure your sky is clear where the app points to, if yes, you can use it.
Thanks, Mike. And by the way, have you heard anything regarding when Starlink service will become available in the Puget Sound, and the San Juan Islands Specifically?
For my part Australia (around the mid-east coast), the Starlink website says that services are expected to begin in the mid -end of 2021. I already have my pre-order in.
Lol watch when we see Starlink Scalpers
I just ordered my dish for Essex near London
We are in Cataldo Idaho, we have paid our deposit but we are still waiting.
We have no other internet provider out here, so we have a cell signal boost and use our data plan.
Do you know if they are planning to expand service in the US?
So exited when i saw yiu posted another video!(finally) ;)
im from United Arab Emirates aisa region any idea when it will be ?
You need a twitter account
I'm in the south of the UK, and my terminal is on order.
Dont know your country list but its open in the caribbean. St. Maarten (part of holland) have 5 on order
Oh wow - is that $99 pre-order, or you've actually paid $500 or so for the full kit?
Heyyyyyyy❤❤
First :) Thanks for watching!
Cool but how about getting back to the us that give them a lot of money
It is important that star link is tested and verified in all the other countries, so that the potential revenue from each satellite is maximised for each orbit.
So even though demand is strong in the US at this price point. Getting into other markets and raising star link profile and getting over any other country specific issues, is just as important.
Also, tunning the software that lies behind the network, while gradually raising capacity, so any bottle necks are identified before they become a real problem.
Same price everywhere? I'm thinking that's too much for much of the world.
Well, at least here on Brazil, if the 100-300 Mbps are really a thing, the price per mbps is yet competitive. So what will ultimately happen is someone buying a Starlink dish, and distributing locally via Radio and/or Fiber Optics small fractions of the bandwidth for profit, so that most small to medium Internet providers will not any more depend on the local only available Monopoly Giant.
So far prices are fairly close to the $99 USD, just converted to local currency. SpaceX has said that they will probably do regional pricing, but I haven't seen much different yet.
@@MikeOnSpace Thanks Mike, I hadn't heard that.
@@MikeOnSpace 99 € are more expensive than 99$, at least now, and that's the cost in Europe, but well.
Mines coming in north west uk
Awesome! How far North are you? Are you past 54 degrees North?
@@MikeOnSpace I’m 53 near northwich I’m only getting 3mbps for like 7 years
