    Finally someone who teaches "the faith of Christ."
    32:07 Believing indeed is a work. It's just not our work. When the disciples that followed him asked him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? What was Jesus' response?
    "Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." John 6:29 KJV
    This is why so many have confused themselves when discussing and debating James chapter 2. Faith without works is dead. Meaning a true child of God understands the work behind the faith is the work of Christ and his faith. Behind the only faith that justifies is the faith of Christ that justifies us by his blood, his grace, his spirit, the word of his power, and by his works.
    Your thoughts?
    Grace be unto you and peace be multiplied.
    With love,
    Revelation of the Mystery

      The Lord Jesus Christ knew his Father’s plan and believed it would turn out exactly as his Father said - else how could he have endured the cross? He believed his Father and obeyed him. The faith of Christ.
      Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
      Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
      Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
      Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
      Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
      Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
      Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
      Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
      Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
      We are to do the same: know God’s word and obey it - have faith in it.
      Rom 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
      Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
      Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
      James 2 is a dispensational issue. Israel’s program required a person who believed God’s word to do specific works. The belief came first. The works were a result of their belief.
      Today we are only required to believe. PERIOD. As a saved person (someone who has trusted in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for their eternal life - that and that alone) - as a saved person grows in God’s word, they will be motivated to put that belief to practice in their life. Today, we learn God’s word and make decisions about how we are going to put that information to practice in our lives.
      Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
      Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
      Col 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
      Col 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
      Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
      Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
      Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
      Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
      Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
