For those keeping up with Mercedes-Benz's recent announcements, one notable omission may have been the new C-Class generation's lack of an electric option. With confirmation of an electric C-Class debut in 2025, this gap has at last been filled.
A Specialised Electric Platform.
There will be no easy conversion for this fascinating feature. Built on a completely new architecture called the MMA platform, Mercedes is developing the electric C-Class. This represents a big change because the EQC and EQA, two of the electric versions now available, use a new platform (MEA) that is shared with certain gasoline vehicles.
Making a Name for Oneself.
On the gasoline side, the MRA platform unites the C-Class and S-Class, but the electric C-Class forges its own route. This focused strategy using the MMA platform points to an electric C-Class that is performance, efficiency, and maybe sportier driving experience tuned.
