I'm a Professional Organizer, and I just want to say... WELL DONE!!!! You did an AMAZING job! Fun fact: we wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. You did a great job purging the "excess", and an awesome job categorizing everything as you put it back. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. :)

The fact that you did this all in one day is astonishing! I believe your energy comes from your healthy-ish living. Love how you started trying on old dresses and then layered them!

Omg get the felt hangers. I like the original huggable hangers you can get in a pretty color. These are soooo worth it!!
I'm totally inspired to clean out our closets now! Great job! I 100% agree with the all white hangers too. I was cleaning & reorganizing our office last week & just about to melt because I was so hot. It was then that it really kicked in why it is "Spring cleaning". I should do it in the Spring before it gets into the 80s & 90s so I can have the windows open & not melt. 🖒😉🤣❤
Your closet is huge! I’m so jealous!! Rocking the trailer life...had to seriously minimize my clothing collection... pretty much all the clothes I own fits in one of those cubby shelves you have...
the way i cleaned my closet out was by hanging everything up backwards and when i wore something i hung it up the normal way and after a year everything still hanging up backwards went bye bye believe me i have never missed them.

Great job! I'm proud of you! Not only did you say goodbye to tons of clothes, but you actually gave them to a very noble cause. I'm an adult and was never a witness because my mom left my dad while I was still in the womb, but he has sort of admitted that my mom was telling the truth. Of course he put his own spin on it and made excuses, but nevertheless.... He beat the crap out of my mom and my older brother, who was only 2 years old when my mom finally had the courage to leave him. Because of this, your donation choice is particularly special to me. My mom didn't have the kind of help they provide- she took off on her own, stayed in homeless shelters, etc. Anyway, good for you. Thank you for sharing this video!!! 🙂🙂🙂
I should add: Just for clarification, when I was 16, I wanted to meet my dad so I went online (remember aol, dialup, Netscape, and ask Jeeves? Lol!). Turns out he's sober now, which is great, but he's still a manipulative jerk. Very angry man. I recently stopped talking to him because he lied to me about how close to death he is, how his health is so bad that his doctor gave him a cyanide pill so when the day comes he can take care of it- and he had me convinced at first. I made some phone calls and found several holes in his story and decided I'm done with his negative vibes, you know? Anyway, Kim- you're awesome and so is your family. Keep being positive and keep on doing what you're doing! Thanks again!!! 🙂🙂🙂

So authentic, adorable, relatable. Im off to my walk in robe which is actually a bedroom and its so full there's a second storage area for winter clothes rotation. 50 jackets! 30 jeans! Ahh. You've inspired me. I love the preso. So cute.

Hi Kim! Not sure if you will even see this but I wanted to encourage you to make more of these happy and healthy-ish vids!! My daughter and I just found this channel after a year somehow and we’ve binged watched them all. This closet organize was our fav so I decided to comment. We love your Holderness channels as well! Please, if it brings you joy post more, it’s a small community of subs so far but I pray it grows for you as you seem to be doing it from your heart. While spreading the news of holistic naturopath lifestyle is possible! We love our whole clean simple food and overall non toxic lifestyle, we just do the best we can and try to support those farmers and businesses trying to provide organic non toxic products to the human race, woo hoo! I've used my wedding veil as decor dropping down from a shelf next to a close up picture of our wedding rings on our wedding day.
It's a great way to be able to enjoy your wedding veil and add some texture rather than just having photos from your wedding as decor.

I hear you, a few months ago I switched from dresser to closet that was currently being used as a storage unit and it was so hard letting go 9f sooooo many clothes!

I have next to nothing in my wardrobe. For real. I have one pair of Jean's that got bleach on them somehow. And some ancient tank tops, a pink floyd t shirt and a couple ancient sweaters. I blame it on the fact that I detest shopping unless books or cats are involved. I loathe everything else. And really probably look so bad day to day. Someone needs to overhaul my wardrobe and actually put stuff in ,lol
I literally have two pairs of shoes.
When I clean out my closet I have so many clothes to but I just give them to my friends and also the clothes that are too small for me I give to my friends I just decide when I don’t want to wear something or don’t like it but some of the clothes that I don’t want I use it for camping
Funny thing is that my 30th birthday outfit was more appropriate for a 20 year old and my 20 year old outfit should never have seen the light of day because I was pregnant and back then we still had Peter pan collars on horrible pregnant clothes that a 2 year old would of looked better in. 40 I decided to go to bed early and maybe when I'm 50 I will decide to get out of bed lol

What is this challenge?
Brandi Todaro it’s a semi challenge. So you basically just do a capsule minimalist wardrobe. Which you have like 3-5 shirts and 3 skirts or dresses and 2 pants. Then you just wear it. That’s it. So your wardrobe needs to match all over. I live pretty minimalist personally so I can pack all my clothes and shoes in 1 suit case. It’s to challenge you in what you really wear. Realistically people only wear the same thing over and over, like Kim mentions in the beginning of this video.
If anybody wants to search and try it just Pinterest search “minimalist capsule wardrobe” for ideas. You’d be surprised in what you actually wear!

Kim if I wasn't a 5x I'd ask you for some of your clothes but I'm a shorts and lightweight shirt guy with quality comfortable leather shoes/boots/barefoot now.
I don't even have a closet let alone a house🤯😤😭😭⚰️... all my clothes are either stolen dirty except the few outfits I switch out every other day or so... It sux being homeless and poor and not even on drugs .. where I come from even if you are being beaten and threatened to death if you aren't on welfare or disability they won't help you
