    Tried this earlier today for the first time and only did one coat of powder and was kind of sad that it didn't pop as much as I'd hoped. I'll try a second coat, thanks for the video!

    have you tried it over the top coat after its completely cured?

    • @RobynSchwartzNailDesign
      @RobynSchwartzNailDesign  8 лет назад

      Yup, that works too, just make sure you're using a tack free top coat. They're a bit porous so they'll grab the pigments. :)

    I tried this technique yesterday and I have chipping/peeling of the chrome on my free edge already :/ any suggestions what I might have missed?

      Make sure your top gloss is completely covering your pigments all the way to the free edge of the nail. And I do double coat the shine on as well so it's completely sealed.

      Did it work for you? I am still having problems with peeling edges of top coat and I am covering them with each top coat very well. Maybe I shouldn't cover them? Just do it from top to bottom straight till edge, but not capture them just like on tutorial?

      +ada gefter an updated wildflower video said if you are doing chrome on hard gel you need to do a final hard gel tip coat. I haven't had clients I tried that on come back for fills yet so crossing fingers lol

      I do both hard gel and gel polish for natural nails. On natural nails chrome is really bad peeling and on hard gels basically the same. Wildflowers keep changing their tutorial. I watched every tutorial there is and can't make it work. Just spoke to a trainer and was suggested not to cap chrome or top coat. Makes no sense, but tried yesterday. Waiting to see how it posible to hold without capping edges with top coat. Do you have any success at all?

    I'm having bad chipping as well.. I've done everything Wildflowers said on there tutorials too... It's beginning to be very annoying.. Clients complaining..

      Again, I've not had issues with chipping. I'm really not sure why there are so many problems with this. My clients are good for 3 weeks. Pay close attention to your application, no powder on the free edge and top coat it completely.

      Hi is it necessary to have black as a bottom in the silver and green one? Best regards Christina Sweden

      Christina Forsman with these particular pigments, it's a good idea to use a dark colour, or they won't really show up. Other pigments that have more colour to them may be used with a different base.

      try applying a layer of base gel over the chrome powder and then the top coat - wont be so thin and shouldn't chip at all.
