The game is not going to retail. All factions unlocked, 3 maps included, 2 left to unlock Them tiles ain't cheap and there's 230+ domino shaped and another 100 smaller tiles, all similar feel to azul. Hope that helps.
I commented on this on the pledge manager but fair dinkum, why would you not use that 3D sensational art that you have put on the pledge. Honestly, it looks amazing. I cannot understand why you would not use the "old version".

I'm hoping the pledge manager is open for long enough that I can consider fully backing. (Game looks very good and gives me a bit of the White Bear & Red Moon vibe from 1975. 😁)
The maps for Bloodstones are "faux silk". The creator said "you get to feel like you're reading a map prior to battle", although I would think linen would feel more like a map than silk.
Bloodstones is my only back here. I may be done until the Dead Reckoning and Foundations of Rome expansions. I think Bloodstones has already gotten all of the factions and maps unlocked, so the more it makes now, the better for backers
Is it just me, or wasn’t it just a few months ago that the Dead Reckoning All-In arrived at my front door? It is still unplayed… therefore, I am not sure about ANOTHER expansion coming to crowdfunding so soon thereafter.
Backing the Dodos expansion and to pick up the upgrade for War for Chicken Island. I'm interested in Dark Tower, as I wanted it, but never got it as a kid, but don't have room.
Euthia is the first game in quite a while that is tempting me to break my no KS streak. I'm on the fence, it's pricey but the reason why Euthia appeals to me is that you start and finish an adventure in one sitting. Same reason I own and love TMB but with a more adventure feel. I always looked at mage knight for the same reason but the rules overhead (at least for my brain) felt way higher, Euthia seems pretty smooth after watching a couple of playthoughs. I am waiting for the update about the new coop-solo content before making a final decision.
I am on the fence too. The person i play with has the first print. But he is considering selling first print to go all in again so everything matches print wise. So he has asked if i want it and then i could back new stuff. I do love Euthia. But i am unsure if i need a copy and my friend, as we only play with each other and i dont think i would play this solo. I am breaking into solo games but i think Euthia is one where its more fun playing with others. But…its one of my favorite games and its sooo pretty…so i wants it. But i am trying to talk myself out of it cuz i can use the $$ for Andromeda that is coming and Spirit Fire. But…. Sigh. I keep talking myself in and out of it, we will see what happens but the FOMO on this one is strong but i am trying to beat it back with some will power and arguments above🥴🤣😂
I chose to pass on Euthia for that very reason. It looks great. But I mostly play with my wife and don't really need another competitive game. My favorite game series is Hexplore It, absolutely love it and its coop. I'm glad I have gotten to tge point that fomo doesn't lead me to buying every cool looking thing.

Minor thing, but Dominion Intrigue 2nd Edition doesn't include the basic cards like 1st Edition did. You'll still need a base copy of Dominion to use Intrigue now.
I mean, I cant remember backing a Kickstarter game that shipped in less then a year, at the very best, usually 1.5 to 2 years. This is nothing special I would say :D

I personally don't think the minis are needed for this game (and i love minis) The combat isn't deep enough to need it. I don't have the neoprene mat but if they have it I'm getting it for sure.

The hack job you did on Bloodstones was cringy. You obviously never put any time into reading the campaign and comments. It can be very harmful to just babble incorrect information about games. It is real people at the other end of each campaign. Time, effort, hopes and passions all lead up to the one big shot they have to see that work on a game become a reality.....then easily dismissed by a guy with an audience rambling...sad. Please look into games you talk about. That is what your viewers expect you are doing in these segments.
Honestly I have been noticing this a lot lately. The space for content creators reviewing games is so saturated that we now have a bunch of them who try to do multiple videos every day and they just clearly lack any real thought. Frankly, it's irresponsible to criticize a game being created by independent devs in such an offhand and clearly uninformed way. Go ahead and take swipes a CMON and FFG all day long because they are gonna make the games regardless. But some of these campaigns are literally individual people spending what little upfront capital they have to create their passion project. Everyone needs to stop being so entitled and start remembering that we are in a golden age of board games where nearly every taste is catered to. If it's not for you, then move on and let others enjoy it.
This one felt rushed and a bit off Alex. Some of these games are worth discussing in a bit more detail and I think for example it’s not clear at all what the pitch for Bloodstones even is from this video. Also, the map you pointed at is actually not the one they will be going with. As for me, I am itching for the Dark Tower but I’ve read it doesn’t scale well for 2p and they haven’t quite figured out how to adjust the difficulty to create a good challenge for players
That and mistake in some name of the game, mixing them (talk about Dominion in the Western Legends campaign). Could not even read a pledge manager description with RtDT. I guess the guy need youtube money more than ever now that its side hustle bankrupted. Gotta pump up the upload numbers.
Would love to back Return to Dark Tower, I watched a few gameplay videos and it looks fun (albeit easy and not complex) but it's very very expensive, it's as much as my all in of Hoplomachus that gives me 2 whole games :/
I need to pick up the Dominion Seaside upgrade pack to get the new cards from the 2nd edition. Been hard to find. Amazon has it, but higher than MSRP. I still may pick it up since it's not too high and it seems like these upgrade packs don't stay in stock very long. Otherwise, I'm backing a lot of PnPs (Copperdale, Shu's Tactics, & Sunshine City), but not Mines & Men because of the real-time aspect. I hate real time. Makes me freeze up.
Do you really think Bloodstones' gameplay looks dry? I think it looks like battle maps from war college textbooks with a high-fantasy theme. I backed day one!
Man, the pull is SO strong with Euthia, but I have so many other dungeon crawls/high adventure games either already here or on the way that backing another one - especially at that price point - just seems like a board game too far. But I still have 4 days to wrestle with my decision....

In any case, if you DO like area control/direct conflict, consider checking out our TTS for free and see how you feel then. If it's not your style in general then that's ok. The last update is only visible for backers. And they are asking the backers about it. And it looks like there are enough people that support that idea. But the relaunch is planned to be not far on the future

Basically on relaunch, streamline the pledges to 3 tiers + addons, improved deluxe edition (including the elementals now), review videos for 2nd edition and higher goal as the real goal is $300,000 to make it with minimal risk (this is including the ultra deluxe stuff available) which is a big thing companies need to be wary of at this current time. This also happened with 1st edition and came back far stronger. Probably a must at this point, as I thought 2nd edition would do far better in funding and was very surprised it didn't fund day 1.
It feels like they are trying to normalize higher game price points. No way Davy Jones looks like a $75 game when Everdell, Wingspan, Spirit island are all cheaper. Even Ark Nova that has been going for $75 for the longest time just saw a drop to $46 on most retail and you can still get free shipping.
Davy Jones' Locker has minis, dual layered and double sided player boards, lots of cards, double sided game board, metal coins, a functional solo mode, over 50 dice and a bunch of other components like tokens, meeples and overlay hexes all from a small company without the resources of competitors, need I say more? In todays KS 75$ is nothing and its got all the deluxe upgrades people pay $30+ for. I don't understand how it's a bad price point. It is important to support the little guys as their ideas are usually better than the big companies who reach the outlook point of "let's just make more money kind of games".
"Bloodstones" seems crazy overprized! There is just nothing included to justify anything near that price point. It's just the name "Martin Wallace". And this will likely not be his greatest work. Just saying. And well under 700 backers after one week seems almost like a red flag. And if it's true that the boards are just paper maps then there is even less content value for that big price point.

I'm pretty confident that if this is the style of game you'd usually enjoy, that you would get your monies worth from the game in the ease of getting to table and the teach, it's quick to learn and the strategy adds depth. We are currently adding some more luxury stretch goals as well. Again, I invite you to come and have a look if this is the type of game you'd usually enjoy. Cheers.

Put one of the little ducks you have in front of you or use it as a fiddle toy when you are making QuackandCo(?) videos as a reminder and don't have one when you are making your channels videos. This might help as a reminder for your closing statement.

Just backed World at war 85, I Love strategy games not so much war games, but this one pulled me in. Rated 8.8 on BGG.
