Audioslave should've lasted for longer, their sound is one of the most iconic sound (In my opinion) that a band could have. RIP Chris you are dearly missed dude.
Agreed.. 4 equally talented musicians... came together at the right space and time.... Chris is missed terribly, everyday. Everything he was involved with was magical.
Mitakuye Oyasin and in my opinion , Audioslave breaking up was the biggest mistake,

like a stone is a powerful song, listening to it now breaks me up.
They crack me up sometimes. I find myself smiling to that smirk I'm accused of doing. (Idk) So, the song I recently heard for the first time a few months ago. What you are, when I hear that, it's on.. and someone please help explain why he looks so different to me. But the closest I've seen him resemble since I saw him in our hometowns.

Audioslave is and always will be one of my favorite bands. Everything that Cornell ever wrote was pure beauty
the songs were and are still hauntingly sad. Live versions of songs tend to be not all that great on cds but If you listen to the live version of Like A Stone from his Songbook cd its very emotional, it just gets to you. he definitely had a beautiful, but hauntingly tortured soul that went along with his beautiful voice when he sang, and he was gorgeous with those piercing blue eyes.
Audioslave is for sure my favorite band of all time.

prior to audioslave, RATM was and still one of my favorite bands. so when this happened I was like who is Chris cornell? not untill the album came out and from day one I was a huge audioslave fan. That led me to go back and listen to soundgarden and temple of a dog albums then later on i followed Chris with his solo stuff.
so sad that he is not with us anymore, I was hoping for a reunion too.

tbm fazia a mesma pergunta mais depois lendo sobre depressão deu pra tirar uma conclusão melhor do assunto.pq n entendia .. um poucos anos estava no Festival PINKPOP é na Holanda e onde eu estava c amigos dava de frente pra um camarote e avistei o Chris c a familia ..qd soube desse lance de suici ..n acreditei q mesmo de longe e por pouco tempo dava pra vê q era uma familia unida. R.molina um amigo super vibe positiva tem a doença(depresão) eu achava q era frescura! te juro. mais n é.. meu amigo n tem o menor sinal de quem sofre da doença. o problema é qd ele ta só.. e tbm n prescisa de um motivo x pra doença te pegar. veja o exemplo do Chris cornell um cara bonito,rico,uma familia linda,famoso no mundo todo e comete o ato. meu amigo disse q qd tomava os remédios se viu uma vez na cozinha e com uma faca na mão( ele recobrou a memória n sabia nem como teria ido parar na cozinha..quanto mais ter pego faca. foi isso que me fez acreditar no que a esposa dele afirmou .. meu amigo que nem curte rock falou ..(esse cara pode ter ido mijar e uma toalha e se enforcou . desculpa o erro de portuga kkk mais to digitando ultra rápido pra explicar o q teria acontecido c nosso querido Chris .

Like a Stone is a song about reflecting on life and death, but it is also a love song with a certain someone in mind. Especially the chorus is about someone. Just as some of his other songs are love songs aimed at that same girl, whomever she was. She knows who she is.
He knew Susan Silver was the LOVE of his life... they only split cos of his addictions at the time. At the end 2 yr before he was taken out he knew what a mistake he'd made. That is the truth.

Iv been on this rock spiraling out in the dark void for 55 revolutions around the dying sun!!! ...I was born to crawl around on the floor and rock to the first and few pink floyd....Zep - early Genesis- The Who ...Yes !!! ..Rush...
.....Audioslave is my favorite band of all time!!!....I can sing the songs without music even playing , it's poetry at its greatest representation combined with a juggernaut of a 3 pc band!!!! ......this should have gone on til , today!!! ...if he would have stayed committed - as they were 3 committed - the 4th album and tour would have occurred ....they DIDN'T have to tour off of Revelations!!! ...they could take that time off - build up their catalog and library so a 140 minute concert Including encores would have been easy and fun set lists to create!!! ...Pearl Jam didn't become the band they grew into til Vitalogy !!! ...yes , a lot of pressure was put on Audioslave to hold up to their billing!!! ...I saw them 5 times live in 3 different states combined!!....if I knew now - I would gave followed them for 10 more shows in a row and never looked back!!!....Live - they were as fierce a band iv ever seen !!! ...Chris was calmer on the first tour- by the 2d album and tour he ruled the stage like a beast!!! ...the interactions amongst the 4 of then were always enormous smiles - even half way thru a tour!!! On a Tuesday in Iowa !!! ...here in Chicago - they were adored !!!....best band - best 4 guys ever to climb out on a stage and tear it up !!! ....I miss them so much that I listen each day still like it was my first time hearing them - AUDIOSLAVE!!!!!!!....
