Just a tip for your jack stands. put a 300 by 50mm slab of wood underneath so they dont sink onto you. Bunnings will cut you a few bits. Real handy pieces of wood for future progrcts too.

I certainly don't like to muck around on cars @joe kolenik within the first week I had it all cleaned, serviced and put back together. Now we are just finishing up a few small jobs and still considering what to do with it. Keep or sell..I'm still not sure😅
I look forward to sharing round 7 next week, cheers heaps mate👍👍🤝

Well I'll be stuffed! I was thinking this had taken you several weeks, it would take me five days just to get the junk out of the car. And that was when I was a young bloke, Obviously I work in slowmo, I'm guessing its on the road already, assuming it's registered and had its roadworthy done. I suppose you've already done the tune-up and service, Struth! You don't muck around, do you! I always made sure I was as safe as I could be working under a car, I'd heard to many story's to take any chances with it. I never liked getting under there anyway, I'd always end up with skinned knuckles and eyes full of oily greasy dirt. I'm a tight fisted bugger, Ive welded up several mufflers and patched plenty of pipes just so I wasn't spending money to get it done. And now days your lucky to get a couple of years out of a new muffler, I'm sure they make them out of tissue paper! Hope your doing ok Luke, Cheers Mate!

We definitely have gone to town on this car so far, @wayne armstrong and quick progress to mate. I just can't help myself on some projects I start, and I have to put all my time and effort into them...this car being a perfect example!🤣 Within the first week of having it, we ripped it apart, cleaned it all up, put it all back together & serviced it. Now it's waiting on a new ignition barrel... but that's another whole new video and most likely part 9 or 10 to come. There is a story behind why we were replacing it too, but we'll get to that🙂
It's been a good distraction whilst everything else is going on, and I can't wait to take the old Commodore for its first test drive once finished😎
Thanks so much again, Wayne. I'm confident I will be back to normal again very soon, sharing more videos every week to enjoy! Cheers heaps, mate🙂🤝⛏️👍

@@DigItDetecting Ive just got home, Had a real good meal, sister in-law is a great cook, my brother's not half bad either, at least on the BBQ, My nephew was there and got called out to a fire a few clicks away from where I live. So had to cut the afternoon short, and come home just in case, I could smell the smoke on the way home but couldn't see it, I'm in amongst some fairly dense Bush, and only yesterday I started cleaning up leaf litter and branches with plans to do a lot more clearing around the place just in case. I'm not finished all my rebuilding yet, and I wouldn't want to have to start all over again. There was a bad fire here about 12 years ago, since then, thousands of Hickory wattle have shot up, there's only one way to walk through it, and that's by following animal trails. Ive got a lot of work to do if I hope to keep the place safe from fire. That's a big if! Anyway I think I'm out of the line of fire at the moment and the wind is blowing it away from my location. But I'll be keeping an eye on the alerts just incase I have to do a runner. So far I don't think it's a large one, but I can here helicopters and planes off in the distance. But they might be headed up to licola, further into the mountains. My belly's full of food, and a few drinks as well, and the couch is getting more comfortable as I sit here. Cheers Mate and thanks!
