One important thing you forgot to mention is that the brokerage actually charges 18% per annum interest on the collateral you are using, as long as half the collateral is not cash. This significantly reduces any interest you are making by selling options using collateral. In some cases it may lead to a net loss for you irrespective of whether your trade was profitable or not! Please cover this in one of your videos
Thank you Ashwin for the mentioned point....@Sunder, Please cover this part and suggest how to handle collaterals with out paying 18% interest on it.
Yes
You can keep cash component which is 50% of the margin required as per exchange in liquid bees, then this liquid bees can be used as cash component and you can also get interest in liquid bees as additional benefit.

so what happens for the buyer if he is in mtm profit? the exchange will pay them by cash on a day to day basis? while collecting from collateral of seller account?

Hai sundar sir
Thank You
Very good explanation for kudos to you
Tremendous teaching ! In teaching,, our teacher PRS eligible for Doctoraye certificate !
Sir, can pls clarify on the spread. In spread I am doing buying and selling. Example, if I sell 20may nifty 14750 saddle at 200 and buying 27may nifty 14750 saddle at 400. Approx. 60 to 70000 debit from my account.
I pledged margins for option sellings.. but i never use them.. i have pledged, only to handle unexpected up or down of 1000 points movement in a single day... brokers will squareoff the position if there is margin shortfall.. to avoid that i have plaedged collaterals
Is there any rule to keep some ratio of collateral and cash? or only collateral can be given for option selling
Thank you sir 👍
if you have submitted the margin money in form of collateral (as a option seller) and the the premium reduces from 20000 to 10000, you will be getting 10000 in cash or as a chunk of the collateral you already submitted as margin?
very well explained sir
Superb explaination 🙏
Sir pls explain in detail.
What is span margin, exposure margin etc. How it is calculated?
Is it compulsory to give collateral (ex: FD,MF etc ) to exchange can't we put funds directly and do option selling ?
Sure but you will not be gaining/earning on cash paid as collateral
Excellent.
Useful info....
Sir if the option sellers got struck in black swan events like corporate tax cut events like a 10 rs call option gone to 800 rs so how they will recover the extra money from option sellers can you please explain.

Sir if i made a loss in intraday so still i will get an interest amount?
Sir, please reply which broker take the full money collateral ?
If we sell options we are paying a huge margin amount, do we get it back when we square off?
Sir, one query... in intraday broker will square off all our positions by 3:15- 3:30. What will happen incase of monthly expiry options or weekly expiry options? Is it same 3:15-3:20 on expiry day? Or will it auto squared off before several days from expiry?
