Stanley Kubrick is one of my favourite Directors. It's hard to pick a favourite from Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket & Eyes Wide Shut. A nice mix in this vlog, a thumbs-up!

I was a bit reluctant, because I'm not sure how you guys would feel about it. I just think that it would add interest to the videos to sometimes share a little bit of something different, within the coffee video. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. I enjoyed your video offering this morning... especially the portion concerning the Oregon Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Our oldest granddaughter moved to Salem, OR., about 3 months ago and we are planning a trip to go out and visit her next year. We are considering visiting during the 2025 festival dates (sometime around mid-April) so we can check out all the beautiful blooming tulips. I didn't know that any of the movie "The Shining" was filmed near Mount Hood. We've seen Mount Hood previously, back in the summer of 2010 during a motorcycle touring trip. We spent 24 days riding our separate motorcycles from Kentucky to Glacier National Park and then up into Canada, before heading to the coast. We rode virtually all of the Pacific Coast Highway, and then down into Mexico for a bit before heading back to Kentucky.
During our past trip, we only rode within a few miles of Mount Hood, just to see it, so we certainly didn't visit Timberline Lodge, maybe we will make a special trip there to check it out when we visit our granddaughter next year. If we decide to make the trip to Mount Hood, we'll definitely make the added short drive to check out Keeper Coffee on the southeast side of Portland.

@@oly7744 We were bikers... we both sold our bikes about 7 or 8 years ago. We never hauled our bikes and we rode in all lower 48 states, 4 Canadian Provinces and Mexico. A few years after we both retired we began to ride less and less so we went ahead and got rid of them. Our last bikes were a 2008 Road King Classic and a 2008 Softail Deluxe. The only state we've never been to is Alaska and we hope to take a cruise up there possibly around this time next year. I'm not sure how many total miles I've ridden, but I've documented over 50,000 miles.

Wow! You visited the Overlook Hotel?! The Shining was one of the seminal horror films of my youth. Some of the scenes are burned into me minds eye to this very day. Thanks for the stories! Is the bramble bush maze really out there? 😮
@jowyong6769 Hello Yong. When we visited the Overlook Hotel, the maze really existed. However, it was much smaller than in the movie. I could see how the small maze could have given Stephen King, the idea for the maze in the movie. Timberline Lodge did not have a maze in front of it, as it did in the movie. Maybe I can include a little bit of footage on the Overlook Hotel, and talk a bit more about it, on a future video. Thank you for your comment, and have a wonderful day. Take care.
