Even the Cougars have come a long way from the 2010s. They still love to dominate half the game and choke/collapse towards the end. Karma came in clutch for the Utes on 11-9-24 tho

@EvO RECON Why would they stop trying they were only up by 20 with an entire half left, if they were up by 20 at the start of the forth quarter then it would be a different story.
As always BYU has no mental strength...even in a game where they dominated. The coaches see a pick 6 and immediately go conservative. Even after Wilson gets the lead back to 20 they turn into Anae and sit on a lead all 4th quarter on the road. Only BYU. Can't wait to get coaches who have a clue.
LOL BYU fans always say they lost because they went conservative in the 4th, but BYU called 5 run plays and 14 pass plays in the that quarter and still got stopped every drive. That number is so lopsided because they lost the lead and started passing every play, but even when they had the lead they called 4 pass plays and 4 run plays. That's not that conservative. Even if you take all the plays from the entire second half when BYU held the lead, they ran 10 pass plays to 13 run plays. That includes three straight runs the drive after Wilson threw the pick 6, so they didn't throw for obvious reasons. Take that out and it's 50/50. Sorry, but your team just got outplayed.
I agree in part, it seems like whenever these teams play, Utah may be the better team, but BYU always sticks with them. However, when it gets late in the game, BYU's players without fail break first. They commit a targetting penalty or give up a big play to give Utah the lead.
Two plays catch my attention. El Bakri just short on the shovel pass + run leading to a 4th down stop. Next is playing conservative and running on 3rd and 9 in the fourth. What message does that send? Did their statistical play calling represent conservative? Maybe not, but in key situations no it did. I predict a blowout by BYU in 2019.
Holy War. Underrated rivalry
What a great adjustment from Utah. Great win.
That game was dope

Jason Shelley carries this game
Man...First half was so good. That pick six gave Utah some momentum. Already looking forward to next year...Haha.

Greatest rivalry on the west side no cap. 2nd best in state rivalry atleast top 3
Great game. Everybody had a chance to win, UofU took it. --- Nicely done, gentlemen. ---
A tale of two halves.......
Nolo Bloomfield a tale of injuries more like
Nova Brightcore like Utah missing their starting qb and rb
I never would have expected Hadley to be that important to the cougars. They fell apart without him.
He averaged only 3 ypc...

Hadley sucked
I guess Huntley and moss missing didn't help byu?
Byu had a chance. Great game. 4th quarter meltdown.
How did we let this team score more than 3 points on us?
dostacos Exactly BYU should have won 50-0
Master Ego “should’ve” 🤣💀 what happened tonight guy?
I love watching BYU . . . lose to Utah! 😂
The only reason this game was close was because Huntley and moss were hurt
Thank you
@EvO RECON how could you say that when BYU lost
@EvO RECON Why would they stop trying they were only up by 20 with an entire half left, if they were up by 20 at the start of the forth quarter then it would be a different story.
BYU was missing their starting QB and starting RB so.......
I’m glad byu got Samson Nacua by 2021
A game byu just couldn’t finish

I miss the easy win every year.
I LOVE WATCHING BYU LOSE

Ashotjan Anae was amazing. Don’t talk crap about him
This could not be more true

Kevin Worthen proved he had no ethics in that game. Completely despicable behavior.
What are you referring to specifically? Not that it matters, but I'm a Ute.
BYU offensive line sucks. They could have won, but they got slugs and wimps for linemen.
