On the go does not sound bad at all! Love the sound of Encore. But. I just like the shape of on the go. Also the logo on it. And the guitar and microphone input is very convenient too.

Why get the Jbl on the go? It’s the exact same as the Jbl encore and smaller and has better battery then the on the go and even has mic inputs
