I use to be a christian but then it felt like everything was taken from me so I just want space from God but even though I don't like him at the moment this song still hits differently. Please pray for me that God would give me some sign to show that he loves me and is there for me.

It was at the cross God surely opened the gates of Heaven to the sinner. We humans are all sinners unless we pull away from this worldly habitat all around us. Because of the plan of salvation. This gives us the chance to live for Him on this earth and die for him obeying His Holy Law and receiving His character by faith. He lived to show us the way, He manifest His life in us if we obey Him! Trust and obey, for there is no other way.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Tonight (March 6, Lent 4), I attended a Lent service at my sister church. We sang Alas! as the Hymn of the Day. However, it was to the tune, MARTYDOM. It is #337 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship.
Indeed its a very touching hymn. Anytime I listen to it I feel like av lost something in me of which I need to go for it. I feel some echoing in my body
