Whether practising at home or warming up prior to a gig, time is precious and it's important to make optimal use of what you have. Don't just play the same old stuff. Instead, come up with a checklist of areas where you might improve, and make them part of your warmup. Also by introducing elements of improvisation and creativity into your practice you are helping these aspects become imprinted in your playing.
