For me it’s gotta be the Stormfather giving Eshonai the chance to explore the whole world as she is dying… one of the most beautiful and heartbreaking scenes I’ve ever read
Kaladin and Dabbid's interaction after Kaladin catches up to him. Dabbid had tried to wake him with no avail so he goes alone frightened and holding a spear to fight in Kaladin's stead. The awe in Kaladin's voice when he realizes how scared Dabbid is but still willing to go out there is just even more proof that he's a Windrunner to his core. It's the same awe he gets when his father confronts the masked men outside their house trying to rob them -- seems like Kaladin gets the most courage from the smallest moments of hope/bravery from "insignificant" people.
One of my favorite smaller moments was Leshwi talking to Venli at the end of the book and learning that the spren didn't abandon them and that it's still possible for the singers to form bonds and how there is still hope for the singers. The part of it that gives me chills though is her asking about her honor spren and asking if she's still around. It's so sad, but also knowing that someone like Leshwi that we've seen as being so cold and uncaring had a friend and wasn't always like this is so heart warming
I can’t believe nobody mentioned Taravangian becoming Odium. The whole chapter is great but that made my jaw drop to the floor. I live for moments like that in books.
It might not really be my favourite Rythm of War moment, but really an Oathbringer one that RoW just puts into perspective. It was the fact that Kaladin wasn't prepared to say the words of the Ideal in Shadesmar when he and his group was assaulted by Fused. Now that I know they are, it might be my favourite moment of Oathbringer.
Nothing quite like an 18 minute "clip" It's more low-key but the bar sequence of Adolin dragging Kal out of his room to the bar and tricking him into diagnosing himself is one of my favourite character moments in your book!
@@17thShard I want to, but I also have a ton of other books on my to be read pile. SO I think I'll just read summaries of the first 3 and then reread Dawnshard and RoW a bit before the SA5 release.
God damn I'd forgotten just how amazing RoW was. My fave moment was probably when Kaladin's armour went full Ironman suit and flew around protecting everyone fighting :')
I have no idea, how this podcast won me over. More than half the time I'm annoyed at how long it takes you to articulate thoughts. Yet EVERY time I come back and every time I laugh and more often than not really appreciate the in depth work you people put into your Brando Sando fan-craft. Keep up the good work everyone.
Wow, no one picked my favorite, which was Taravangian using Nightblood to kill Rayse and ascend to godhood, that and the proceeding scene with cultivation just make the book for me.
Shallan and Veil reintegrating was one of my favorite scenes. I can't say if it's because I LOVED it or that it felt like Shallans character finally had a moment of real growth
Forget details but Shallan's last scene tying in her two bonded spren, Keilser, Wit, and Dalinar's son plus his Deadeye. That is my favorite because it feels like the start of a world hopping adventure that is Cosmere centric. Plus she is taking charge and... has two spren!
More WoBs this upcoming weekend! We will be every other week until Lost Metal's release, where we will do weekly episodes for about two months or so. -Eric
One of my favorites scenes of RoW it was when Adolin try to figth in Sadesmar and Mayalaran, his Shardblade in body form (?), go and make the moves with him. I mean that connection in that moment was AMAZING, when I read that moment I need to stop reading because it made me emotional hahahaha, sorry for my english
Since I finished the way of kings on November 25 2021 the cosmere has taken over my life. I have already reread all of stormlight a couple of months ago and already wanna reread everything again. Just pain

There are so many great moments, but I personally love "WE CHOSE!" in the audiobook.

I just teared up just thinking about Dabbid in this book while reading your comment.
For me, no. 1 would be Maya screaming: "WE CHOSE!"
After that, every "THESE WORDS ARE ACCEPTED" in the latter chapters had me bawling. ROW FTW!

This video reminded me that I really need to reread rhythm of war before sa5 comes out. There are so many good moments.
I need to reread the whole series! -Eric

Dog and the dragon is the BEST part!!
Wow, no one picked my favorite, which was Taravangian using Nightblood to kill Rayse and ascend to godhood, that and the proceeding scene with cultivation just make the book for me.
Oh yeah, amazing moment for sure, it was definitely on my top ten video I made at release. -Eric

One powerful moment for me was when Lirin was talking to man about why he has the Shash glyph. “Well I figure if he can get up, so can I”
My favorite part/sequence was Teft vs Moash into Kaladin vs The Pursuer
Tore me APART but it was cathartic seeing the Pursuer dealt with again
Love how shard cast shorts is 18 minutes 😆
Lol true! Hey our other two were much shorter! -Eric
Dang it, now I want to reread RoW. I don't have time for that!
Same
I need more Shardcast! Please more shardcast!

@@17thShard Haven't heard of it, is there another Spoiler stream this weekend or there's an irl session somewhere?
The one moment I missed here, I remember Ian talking about Rlain bonding with his spren, and that scene was amazing

It has to be the scene set of the murder in the surgeon's sanctuary for me. The action is just so brutal, raw and emotional.
Great moment for sure. -Eric

Contextually, Dabbid is maybe my favorite chapter in any book ever.
great vid!!
I was only starting to read Brandon around RoW so it was mid 21 when I finally got to it so I missed a lot of the reactions to it.
Yes, I read a lot of Sanderson books in those 6 months.... lol
Very nice! Well if you're ever bored, there are plenty of podcasts and videos here on it! -Eric
Man that was a good book huh.
Spoiler: Man, I lost my %@$# when kaladin digivolved mid air!
So THAT’S what your faces look like up close.
It’s jarring to see you guys fill up my screen. I’m not sure why.
But good stuff .
Three thumbs up
