Great advice thanks. I would never have thought to intentionally pick colours that look like they wouldn't play well together, I love this idea! (I think it's actually my rebellious alter-ego that loves it most!) : )
You have some wonderful marks and expressions in these little pieces - I can see you taking these elements and making them into a beautiful big painting Thank you for sharing and inspiring all of us Love the color combo And can I say you’re a master at the silicone wedge :)
Merci beaucoup, Kelly! I've really been gravitating towards the wedges and color shapers lately. There always seems to be new ways to play with them. What have you been working on lately?
Big Yes to all the reasons you give, Chris. Great to kick start after a break...😊😊😊 got a long weekend coming up and I may do some of this just for fun.
I really liked the two first ones you showed at the end they were extraordinarily nice and the last one was also. I hope your adventure out into the big world was excellently fun😊. As always I thank you for the videos, I want more so keep them coming as long as you're willing. Cheers!
Thank you! Those are my two favorites as well. I had a wonderful little adventure, thanks, and am headed out to Napa on Monday for another one (I bought a little travel paint kit to take this time.) Did you get your mum all moved in?
@@chrisloudart you're welcome, I hope you're adventure away was good and that your next one is also. Yes mum is moved in with me now and adjusting to a solar life, her little house is well on its way way now, I'm having to learn a new language well its just jargon really, but being project manager or whatever I am I'm finding it hard learning the building lingo, thank goodness for RUclips university the plethora of info on how to build something is amazing, plus I still have the books we bought that we used when we built our house, so my grey matter won't be going smooth anytime soon!😊 Its going to be a very nice little house her solar system will be a much better set up than ours, but we will need to source an on demand generator. Not too much waffling this time 😆😆😊 Cheers!
It sounds like you and your mum are having a stay at home adventure setting up her new place. So are you building her little house yourself or do you have people helping you? I've learned so much and was able to fix so many things from watching RUclips. It's pretty amazing! Cheers!
@@chrisloudart yeah I've learnt a lot from RUclips also, when I don't know how to do something that's where I go. No I'm not building it myself, I can't climb ladders anymore so I've got a couple of Burley blokes doing it and I'm the gofer, I order and fetch what they need and make sure it all goes smoothly which it has done until today. So I've got a semi truck and he had trouble getting up the drive, and so couldn't get the stuff up to the build area, and just off loaded it where he could which was ok. So then he proceeds to go down the drive in reverse, he jackknifed the bogie at the first bend and got bogged, the language would curl the hairs in your nose! And his tantrum scared the wallabies, our neighbours heavy equipment wasn't big enough to tow him out, so I'm house bound until after 11.30am and it also means the guys can't start work on the build until then because there's no room to get past, ugh! So yeah we're having a stay at home adventure😊😆 I hope you enjoyed your adventure and also the one coming up, take care be safe. Cheers!
Thanks a bunch! Haha, probably all the training as a kid to stay within the lines. Just kidding-I do these quite often and these edges turned out way cleaner than most . Occasionally, I have two that end up connecting 🤣🤣
This is a great exercise and I have also done this with collage. It's been awhile and I want to do it again. What are you using for a paint palette? It looks like a tile?
Thanks so much, Laurie! I just did the same thing with collage yesterday. I'm using palette paper that I've cut into smaller pieces. I usually use it until it's covered with dried paint and then use pieces of it as collage paper. Typically, they have some really interesting designs.
Hello! Da ich in einem sehr trockenen Klima lebe, trockne ich bei diesen kleinen Gemälden nicht zwischendurch. Bei größeren Kunstwerken trockne ich zwischen den Schichten.
Very nice abstract thumbnails!
Thanks so much, Diane! 😊
Lovely.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing. LOL from S.Wales uk.

@@chrisloudart this weekend is all about teaching myself how to use pan pastels :)
We shall see jury still out on this one 😂
I bet you're going to have a blast with pan pastels. Once you have it down you can teach me.😊
@@chrisloudart I actually laughed out loud - the taught of me teaching you - you know how to compliment another :)
You can do it! I can't wait! I've never used them and have barely used pastels, so you'll be way ahead of me.
Like all of them...put on substrates in a LARGE format... while we warch. Ann, Florida fan
Thanks, Ann! Great suggestion 👍😊

I love these. Could you tell me what kind of paper you are using?
Thanks, Jacque! It's 98lb/160gsm mixed media paper - Canson XL Series Mixed Media Pad - amzn.to/49dSlou
I love them! But how did the edges get so clean? I didn't see any tape.
