The most valuable insights from this interview are the keywords and summarization done by the interviewer. I believe the eBay SWE still needs more experience, it came across as someone that has very convoluted communication skills and a clear signal that he was trying to regurgitate memorized book knowledge. A powerful tool to enhance communication and presentation skills is to pause to think, use one framework of thought such as STAR or U shape stories.
I don't really see why people hate on this man. I think he talked from experience and somebody who can listen with understanding will clearly notice that he actually has good conceptual knowledge of these topics
You answered it yourself. Conceptual knowledge and high level hand wavy answers without giving any specifics. Hard to know if he actually did that stuff or just gave answers he thought he should say
I like this interview, it is very detailed and in-depth, with many follow up questions and answers. It will be nice to hear from those criticizing what their ideal answer would be like.

his answer is all over the places and seems weird he’s satisfied. The summary from the other side after each question is better😮

If I were the Engg director, I wouldn't hire him. I recommend Exponent to review their content before posting here, good luck

This interview tell, what not to do in an interview. Starting 3-4 lines should be crisp, else we will loose on interviewer's attention.
He badly needs coaching 😅😅, hats off to your marketing team putting these kind of video as your face😅😅😅
Its hard to believe that this guy is Engineering Manager.
So true, and have even Senior role
Sorry to say but this guy was all over the place and talking at a very high level without going in much depth at all in his answers.
Bookish answers and with wrong contexts. Bad interview and wouldn’t get selected at all.
Very bad interview. He is all over the place. Very poor answers, is he really an EM?
How not to be an EM!
