Well the people who wrote most of Rick Astley's music, Stock Aiken and Waterman, has often been described as the pioneers of the British flavour of Eurobeat, since Eurobeat is the marriage of Italo-Disco and Hi-NRG, which is what SAW's music is. Look at Dead or Alive, Banarama and Kylie Minogue from that time
