cuttings placed in soil works great you don't even need the powder, I make big pots each year. Once my coleus gets big i take cuttings and make another pot works great!! you are right

I love coleus. I root it in water in my kitchen windowsill. Looking forward to seeing about the tradescantia. I bought one of those a few months ago. It's a new plant for me. Thanks for sharing, Martha!

Wendi I love Tradescantias ♥ ... my grandmama and mom had them in their yard, and it can grow a ton in the right conditions... so far the ones I left outside were eaten by the deer, and others froze in this past crazy winter, so I have been keeping them inside lol But I will plant them again outside. Seems like they have so many varieties than the Purple Heart... love them!

A SHOUT OUT! Loved it!!! (very grateful) I really enjoy your channel and our garden friendship.
Loved the coleus video, found it to be very very helpful. Didn’t know you could propagate them so easily. But I admit I’m a little naïve. I want to pot some for my porch garden and starting to daydream about what’d be best. I’ll probably be babbling about it in a week or two haha!

I think they can be more comfortable in your weather, than in my summer crazy heat... but these at least gave me some satisfaction of surviving for me LOL It is so easy to propagate!
