It is bothersome to read how some netizens are calling his character bleak. That is how his character was written. He is supposed to be deadpan and witty. He is playing his part very well! Why do they feel that they have the right to control someone's profession by criticizing his every move? They had even commented negatively on his visuals. When in fact Hongyi is more than handsome he has beautiful visuals. They are biased and should anyone look in their closet, how many skeletons would be found? Each character brings something unique to the table. Which makes this drama a cut above the rest. Was waiting for the donghua to be completed to finish it all, l didn't expect a drama and a masterpiece at that , every cast of every character is on point and everything was so good , the actors, the cinematoraphy, the special effects, like seriously , these are the best fight scenes l've ever seen in a chinese drama that look exactly like the donghua, amazing, can't wait to finish it and rewatch it while hopefully waiting for a second season

After watching Dashing Youth, where the characters are TOO OP, this one seems like they are a shadow of their predecessors' powers, except for Wuxin (and the prince, later on)--- I watched DY knowing that despite the pretty~~ the beloved characters will end up in misery... I thought I'd watch this to cheer me up, then remembered that this is also quite tragic, all the more so because we'll see the demise of DY characters

After watching Dashing Youth, where the characters are TOO OP, this one seems like they are a shadow of their predecessors' powers, except for Wuxin (and the prince, later on)--- I watched DY knowing that despite the pretty~~ the beloved characters will end up in misery... I thought I'd watch this to cheer me up, then remembered that this is also quite tragic, all the more so because we'll see the demise of DY characters
I've seen the donghua s1 and s2 . It was a great experience of joy and sorrow.
