      Here's a plan...Live frugally. Make just enough earned income to be comfortable and to max a Roth (IRA/401K). Create an LLC and funnel would-be profits into growth. Build passive/residual income under the LLC umbrella. Get taxed mostly as a corporation, while still making a small salary to max the Roth. Move to a country with non-misandrist courts. Have a family there, where a misandrist feminazi can't easily take your kids.

      I don’t know. I worked at a job I absolutely hated for 21 years just to keep health insurance. A low paying job and having no money 💴 will grind a person down fast as anything else. Money can save lives.

    Back in the 90's, I worked in a job where there was pretty much unlimited overtime available. I knew guys who'd work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, and they'd make up to 80-90K (1990's dollars) while the base pay was 40-50K. I rarely worked overtime and just made a little over the base pay. the other guys used to think I was nuts "passing up all that money". My counter-argument was, first, most of them were married (or divorced paying child support) so they needed the money. I didn't need the money, so I'd rather go home after 8 hours and have some free time do do something besides sleep. Second argument was that as an unmarried guy, most extra hours i worked, I'd be working for the tax man. I've never regretted this, and even getting a little more than half the salary some of those OT hounds were making, I still managed to save more money.
    Think of it this way.Steve Jobs on his deathbed at age 55, how much of his fortune would he have given up to live one more year? All of it. And how many years of your life are you giving up for 60, 70, even a hundred thousand dollars each? Make what you need, save what you can, keep as much time as you can for yourself, and fuck all the prestige and status of a few extra bucks. Think of how many hours of your life you gave up to drive a Mercedes instead of a Toyota Camry. Is it worth it?

      Yes but you can still strive to work a job that pays more but on a standard 40 hr week.
      This way you can use the extra money to retire early or buy a car you actually enjoy driving like a mercedes AMG. You only live once and you dont want to regret not doing/owning certain things.
      I agree about the not working longer hours thing though.

      @@lp5398 It's all comes down to having a choice. If you want to work the hours, I'm not saying anything against that-if you want to. Some people actually enjoy their jobs. I knew people, and I'm sure there are many of them, whose entire social life was at work, and they'd rather be at work than at home alone or with a wife they didn't like. Some guys I knew dreaded going home, and would stick around for a couple of hours drinking or playing cards rather than go home. Also, if your personal taste runs to having luxury items, like a fancy car, and you're willing to trade some hours of your life to get those things, in such cases, the extra work is worth it. As long as that is a free choice and you're not forced to do it by necessity. What I think is important is keeping one's options open so that one can choose to work or not work all those extra hours. In my case, I chose not to because I didn't see any extra benefit in it. Others either had to work the hours because of family commitments, or chose to because they wanted to enjoy a more lucrative lifestyle (fancy cars, travel, etc.). My advice would be not to let yourself get tied up so the decision on how much and how hard one has to work is a choice and not a necessity.

    I'm 56 and a forever bachelor. Turned 21 in Germany and have been traveling ever since. In the last week I have snow skied, and golfed 3 times. I occasionally work but have been mortgage and debt free for many yrs. Make $$ but always enjoy life.     Feminism was supposed to liberate women, but it actually liberated men. We no longer have to be married with 2 kids and live in a nice suburb to impress the neighbors or get promoted. Men can now live alone happy with ESPN, a PlayStation and a gym membership. Don't go into debt for a fancy car. It's not worth it. Get a used Toyota pickup and drive it into the ground. As a guy living alone, you can be perfectly content making only about $50k/yr without all the headaches. Do your own thing, live your own life for you.

      Exactly what I’m thinking, I’d be happy to make about 60k from one job, I make about that with a full time and part time…. Problem is rent is just so damn high anywhere decent and I’m not living in a crap place or somewhere with undesirables. Would like to make little more of course because everything in USA is insane right now but honestly I could be complete minimalist with my lifestyle as long as saving up little bit each year that’s fine I’m young only 30.

Consider Houston, Raleigh, Boise, Nashville, or Scottsdale. They have lots of jobs and relatively low cost of living. I know it's hard, but it will pay off. Cappy did it, I did it, you can do it too.

    when i started driving uber... i loved it so much... i had so many people being critical about me being content to just uber around all day instead of getting a real job. I started to notice after a while that the real reason people wanted me to get a "real" job was because they were jealous of how much fun i was having... I had broken my societal conditioning.. my fun really challenged their view of realtiy... made on par with the best of jobs i ever had... but way easier... way more fun... id take a lunch break on the beach on the regular... all kinds of cool stuff because i decided to let go of my conditioning

      I was in a similar situation until I turned 35. I was an accountant for most of my career. My health deteriorated and I worked crazy hours with no overtime pay. Not doing that ever again.

      @@watamutha I was an Air Force officer working in ICBMs. Then Space Launch Logistics, Then oilfield director of maintenance. Ended working on the Alaskan Pipeline. Now I make movies and try to have the most extreme adventures there are. I’m in Nashville now doing music.

      Retirement accounts are a waste of time for you but big money for major institutions. They get their fee no matter what happens in the market. If you want to invest, do so on your own. Pay your taxes as you go not in 40 years on your 401k or whatever. Money that doesnt serve your near future purposes might as not exist. If youre under 50 retirement will be nothing like its been the past 80 years. Its a fleeting new invention destined for the dustbin it seems like. Source: was a financial advisor

    As a native of North Carolina, here's my take on North Carolina cities from west to east: Asheville- beautiful area, mountains and rivers. Very bohemian. Too many leftist weirdos and very expensive cost of living. Charlotte-Very metropolitan, major league football and basketball, great nightlife, terrible traffic, high crime rate. Winston-Salem-great college vibe, fairly conservative, big city vibe with small town charm. Greensboro-a lot like Charlotte on a smaller scale. Durham & Chapel Hill-big college vibe, college sports rule, expensive and a feminista paradise. Raleigh-center of state government, expensive, crowded and very woke. Wilmington-beautiful and scenic, close to the beaches, touristy but plenty to do and less urban sprawl than Charlotte, Greensboro and Raleigh. You may want to consider coastal South Carolina. Fairly low income and gas taxes, great beaches and nightlife with plenty of sightseeing and fishing. Don't bother with Columbia, Greenville or Spartanburg. They are crime ridden and swelteringly hot in summer. Charleston is nice to visit but is pricey and a bit too snobbish for my taste. Your mileage may vary.

      I am from South Carolina and I can confirm most of this. Asheville is nice but it has become the Seatle of the South, which is weird considering the area. But the Appalachians are very nice. Greenville SC is okay but is overhyped and is becoming too much like Asheville with the gentrification, leftists, yuppies, and hipster snobs from the north. Myrtle beach used to be our jewel but is becoming a slum. And stay away from Atlanta GA, place hasn't been right since Sherman burned it.

      If you don't have any money saved up, then stopping working would be a bad idea anyway, so being unable to do it is probably a good thing.

    I did 50+ hour weeks for years, was stressed out, miserable, and exhausted to the point that the 1 day a week I had off I spent trying to sleep and recover. Took a year off going walkabout, came back and now I only do 4 days a week at work. I lose a couple thousand a year compared to before, but the raise I got compensates a bit. The lower stress is a HUGE plus, I can do side hustles that I enjoy but don't make a ton of money off of, have plenty of time for myself and just overall am far more relaxed and happy. I'll never get married again, and live a minimalist lifestyle so piling up stacks of cash don't interest me.

    It's amazing how brainwashed people become when it comes to money. Making money is very shallow. I had years where I freelanced and made tons of cash but just wasn't happy. Cut back and found some balance, was a lot happier. It's definitely in our nature to want to accumulate as much wealth as possible but there needs to be a logical cutoff point where we realize we're sacrificing our psychological state at the same time.

      @@kirerunte1046 I definitely understand the feeling, I was in the same spot at one point. Started work when I was 15, had a stress fracture in my back that is permanent, no disability though. It's a shitty, viscious cycle and I'll tell you the way I got out of it right now. School, specifically community college. It's the only thing the rest of dipshit society will respond to. I didn't have to take any loans either. Look into government grants like the Pell Grant. Grants don't need to be paid back and community college is cheap enough that the grants will cover it and you might even get money back in the form of a check from the school system. I know you don't want to have to do anything after work but if you take one or two classes at a time, you'll start getting college credits. That was my way out, that's what worked for me. Over the course of one year I was able to complete about 1 quarter of an associate degree. But from those credits I was able to apply for jobs that paid a little bit more. It was a long and shitty time but it got me out of that cycle. I used my college teachers as references and they helped me a lot. I know it's easy to be combative towards the school system but it can be used to personal advantage. This isn't a one size fits all solution but it worked for me. In certain states, you basically can't make a living wage without a degree or trade school. Good luck friend, don't give up, outlive all those bad thoughts thinking it doesn't get any better.

      @@eheheh3263 No you're right, money shouldn't be. It seems to me that it's because our society is so money-centric. Without it, you can't do anything. So this makes people override what their priorities should be, like non-materialism, etc, into their whole life revolving around making money. But we'll never be free from money unless we go off grid. It may only be a tool but it's arguably the most important tool we have in modern day besides our own brain and skill set.

      Most rich people are happier than poor people. Most of our stresses in life are financial. And if they arent financial, then money can help. You can hire the best doctors, professionals, etc.
      Having money is FREEDOM. To do what you want. And buy what you want. No restraints.

    I'm a Mexican single male with no children. I have a masters degree, and I work IT.
    I guess chasing money means different things in the USA than in Mexico.
    To me, chasing money means to make enough money to pay both for rent and food.
    Fix remotely fix computers to Americans. I speak English, work in IT, and have a masters.
    I still can't find a way to make my dream come true.
    My dream to make as much as American minimum wage.

But companies in Mexico demand people who speak English, an IT degree, and experience, yet they pay peanuts. salaries in Mexico are so low that IT support that was once in India, is now in Mexico. Mexican IT engineers get paid less than Indian ones.

    At 24 I had job offers in Dallas and the San Francisco bay area. I left the east coast in June and when got to Dallas it was 110 degrees. I said forget that and kept going to the bay area where I took the job building and training a sales team. Best thing I ever did. I explored northern California and Oregon but I was so east coast I thought all the west coast people were out of their minds. I got it out of my system and I have great memories. If you don't go you never know.

    Just a tip if anyone here is thinking about entering the trades, do not become a CNC Machinist. That field has the least amount of room to move up or increase wages. You're treated like disposable garbage because of stereotypes from previous generations not having a high school education. So all shop employers immediately assume you're an idiot, and pay you dirt.

      Trade work... Ok, I worked as a machinist. Not CNC though, manual machining.
      Take it for what it is. The technical trades are a medium amount of work for low pay.
      Degreed professions are an INSANE amount of work for quite a bit higher pay, but you're STILL a working stiff--slave to the job market and the overall whims of the economy.
      You're fucked either way so it doesn't matter--you have to pick a type of work that pleases you at best, or at least, that you can tolerate without becoming suicidal.
      That's what working for a living is all about. It pays a small amount of money so you can exist, amuse/distract yourself a little bit from time to time, and produce the next generation of tax cows.

I would rather struggle doing something else, than to work my ass off for low pay, so that some corporate D-Bag can make a couple hundred thousand. I hope to watch the CNC Industry suffer from the fact that barely anyone is entering the trade. Companies couldn't find machinists 6 years ago, now it's even worse. Constant exposure to dangerous conditions all for a few bucks above minimum wage? Na no thanks, I'll go back to school and become an electrician, than start my own business. F*** these Machine Shops that treat us like disposable trash. My rants are the same reasoning that these young kids come to, that's why none of them want to become machinists when there's a lot more opportunity in other skilled trades.

    Work as much as you can in your 30s and 40s because you're going to slow down in your 40s. If you're working that hard to save for a house or pay a house off early it would make sense.

      Agreed. I'm not all that knowledgeable about the tax code, but if you know what you are doing you might be able to pay less taxes for money earned from assets. This is compared to a job/career of course. I'm not a financial advisor, I'm just a guy working on financial freedom and finding ways to pay less in taxes.

    When you decide what you want for sure consider what it's going to take for you to get it. No wife ? No furniture, one car is enough, maybe just a motor cycle. I'm not married, I can live in any kind of house, don't need 12or 15 plates and cups. Don't need washer and dryer. I change jobs when I want , live any place I want. Right now I live in the Philippines. Maybe Vietnam next year. It's only a plane ticket to get here. Of course you have to have money to stay alive, but you can figure it all out if you want to. You can have fun with girls anyplace no matter who you are. It's something else to figure out. Not everyone likes adventure but have enjoyed traveling for many years.

      Money is pretty handy. I spent a decade building up ~25x my annual expenses in investments before slowing down, and I don't really regret it. But at that point, it's enough and I don't feel like I need to keep accumulating more and more. Now I'm mostly working for a bit of structure, and to fund some large luxury expenses.
      There's no need for a million dollars if you're a minimalist. I think the sweet spot is enough to have a lifetime of FU money if you need it, but not so much that you can be an unemployed couch potato who wants for nothing for the rest of your life.

      @@WendyOryen At first it was $400,000, then $500,000, and then $600,000 (for $15k, $20k, and $25k). With my house paid off now, my baseline annual expenses are closer to $15k again.
      After you have the first $100k saved and invested, that helps speed up the process. And my income also grew much faster than my expenses over that decade.

    Clarey discusses this "easy way/hard way" deal when it comes to professions. In that the one with more work up front makes life much easier ie programming/engineering.
    Yet he seems to miss this when it comes to compound interest. If you go into a good profession and save up several hundreds of thousands (not necessarily retirement) in your 20s and early 30s, you can live on easy street for the rest of your life.
    If there is anything you should focus on as a young adult it is building up your finances. And there's really no reason you can't simultaneously work on fitness and pussy and whatever else during this time.

    Key is having free hobbies / no car payments and cheap housing under 25% of ur take home pay.

      That's probably only realistic if you earn a very high income though, or have an average income but still live with your parents at low rent.
      More realistically, for normal paying jobs, you can live on 80-90% of your take home pay and save 10-20%. I'm Canadian, it's extremely expensive to live here, YMMV :)

      You can always go to extreme by rent sharing a 1 bedroom or sleeping in ur car.
      And not having a car or living close to the city to save on transport.

      I just follow the principles of Early extreme retirement which has helped me maintain 50% saving rate by just realising what is a NEED.
      Needs is what creates bills.
      Need = food, clothing, shelter.
      If you add netflix is that rly a need. If you rent a mansion is that rly a need. So finding out what is important to you is key. This philosophy is deeper than minimalism.

    If I had to do it again would of entered armed services at 18 got out at 38 with an officer retirement. Then work part time as whatever I trained for or studied in the military and the rest of the time is mine. Why go for second career. You have money to be free and live life on your own terms. Travel, do hobbies, hangout with family and friends, do whatever you want to do with your time. Time is the most important asset not money. You are just led to believe money is. Yes get your money but then get out when can live with whatever amount you think you can make ends meet. Move overseas and money goes further and women get skinnier and a lot of time friendlier and more feminine. Stick to Latin America and Southeast Asia for best results.

    I chase Health, Wealth, Love (Family/Friends), Spirituality, and Life Experiences.
    Money helps me improve my living standards, I know we don't need much money to survive in the modern society, a good salary means you can live and eat well. I just chase more Money because it allows me to buy the things I desire, and there are plenty of things I desire that are expensive. If I am going to live this Life only once, I want to live it to the best of my abilities.
    I don't care about all those psychology or philosophical theories on Society, Humans, and Life.
    You give meaning, value, and purpose to your own life, you're not gonna find it externally.
    Do whatever you want, as long as you're not a d*ck to other people.

For example, I've often found it useful as a medium of value-exchange. Come to think of it now, it isn't all that great for much of anything else, but it's mighty good for that--in fact, you'd almost think it was invented for it!

    The people I remember who got it right just did whatever, and enough money found them. They didn’t become billionaires or millionaires, but never really wanted for anything real. On the other hand, I remember a lot of douchebags who chased money and drove nice cars for a while. Most of them are miserable now.

      The penny pinchers are the worst. I knew a few of them who had good jobs in their 20’s but would never buy rounds of drinks because they were too stingy. One guy literally 2 people showed up to his bachelor party, and nobody showed up to his wedding. At least he has lots of numbers in his bank account though! All the wealthy men i’ve known in my life have been very generous. Never met a guy who was seriously well off under the age of 55 who was a penny pincher. Those guys can have fun counting their shekels when they’re old and nobody cares!

    I think feminism has been the best thing ever to happen to men. Yes it has its downsides. But one of the things I am thankful for is that it liberated men from expectation. It helped men realize that they don't need women, so we don't have to give our heart and soul to agree to ask Corporation just to support a family. For me my goals are simple. I want enough money to build a small cabin in Alaska. I want to have means of producing my own power and want to live near a river so I have my own water. I would do everything I could to produce my own food and hunt for my protein. Have enough money in the bank that it draws interest and I can live off the interest alone.

    I'd love to hear a video for people in mid life having to start over after divorce with kids, making their stupid decision on the wrong person. *guilty
    I married a narcissist and had 2 kids with him. 🤦‍♀️ Divorced him, got my degree and years later mid 30s met a wonderful man and I love that he has decided to take me and kids on. He didn't have too and I am wanting to make him and my kids my mission in life. Helping him build his mission helps me build as well. I know I am lucky.

    I chase money because I am striving for F.I.R.E. Plain and simple. And I have no intention in marriage or cohabitation. I have been called a loser, self centered, money-minded, misogynist (for not wanting to provide or even deal with a woman), incel, boring. I don't care, I am going my own way. My tax rate could be slightly higher BUT I get a lot in return: Piece of mind. Also, a lot of people think that single men are lonely. Not true. There is a difference between lonely and alone. I think, more single men (and women) is actually a sad state of affairs for the West to survive, but with the current laws on the books, it is the safest path not to get screwed.

    I think you need to chase money in your 30's-40's and know when to stop. I'm 41 and make $250k/year, I also work 80 hour weeks at my biz. Net worth is seven figures. I'm going hard until 45 then scaling the business down to 40 hours per week and will live off that and investments. I don't plan to stay in the west, the women are just awful and they age like raw chicken. I'm down in Mexico for the winter, and I've realize I don't need much, a small pickup truck to get around, a condo, sun, good women and good food. Perhaps I'll try Philippines too one day. I've given up on marriage, the generally disrespectful and sanctimonious nature of western women coupled with a man hating culture means there is nothing in the west for me.

    The minimalism thing is a fantastic idea. Saving money is a lot of fun when it becomes a real goal and I'm the one who directly benefits from it. If you're married and your wife (or husband) wastes money on bullshit, saving money just feels like a sacrifice with no reward, so why bother?

      I noticed this with tradesmen. I know a guy makes 120k being a high end mechanic. But he manages money for shit. And is always broke asking to borrow money from all his friends. Just goes to show that income =/= wealth

      @@col7754 The money in trades is good but in my country at least the tradie culture is garbage; heaven help you if you eat healthy and read books in your lunch break as a tradie. Probably why most of them are broke, forever chasing the new thing that'll tell the world how much of a man they are.

      That's my philosophy. Work is only ever a means for me to pursue what I actually enjoy in life ; the things that actually make life worth living in the first place, and none of those things comes from a weekly paycheck. The paycheck was just a means to an end.

      Yea I mean, you get some people who just kind of step into a niche that for whatever reason they can make a lot of money at, but I agree, that amount is kind of pushing it. I've met some very hard-core sales guy who were in tech or insurance for years and some of their peak years were around that much. But that's after they built up a large network too. He might come from a rich family with rich contacts. He also might just be blatantly lying, salesman do that sorta thing haha.

      @@ColonelHoganStalag13 I agree, if you can inherit an older salesman legit contacts and build from there, you can really skyrocket in something like this. But that's probably more a product of nepotism than skill and work ethic. It doesn't make sense that people are fighting over $40k salaries but a 24 year old is making this kind of money. Plus, there's a discrepancy between sales numbers and how much a person actually takes home. Who knows, I've heard a lot of hyped BS in my day, I'm sure you have too.

      I think a lot of dudes in their 20s grinded hard last year. I worked 1400 hrs of OT last year and pulled 150k at 24. I’m taking it easy this year though.

    Other than just the shear entertainment of listening to this guy run is pie hole, there is no value hear. Listened to a few of his videos as they popped up… If your making 6 figures. You don’t need this guy’s advice. He’s just a bottom feeder grifting off of sentiment…. Whatever you did to get you to 6 figures, harness that into the rest of your life. That is what will balance your life out.

    I uaed to think it was worth it to work 3000+ hours a year for the overtime. Now that I'm salaried, I realized there's a sweet spot where you can make "good enough" money for minimal effort. You can still become a multimillionaire but without working yourself to death.

    take it from an old man ( 64 ) . looking back on life my greatest memories were each time i could tell an employer to go f himself . usually i left for a job making less money because i could adjust . just keep those SS payments up because SS is damn significant enough to live on if youve positioned yourself well .
