I hope you don't mind me explaining it but here are a few examples:- 1. Infinitives: Their formula is [To+verb form 1]. Example- They forgot to water the plants. Here, forgot is a finite verb which changes with the subject whereas 'to water' is infinitive since it will not change no matter the subject. Bare Infinitive example: You can see the stars from here. Here, if you change the subject 'you' to 'I', the verb 'see' will not change. This means it is bare infinitive. ______________________________________ 2. Gerund: They are used as a noun and they come with the 'ing' form. Ex- Eating is very important. Here, eating is the subject. __________________________________________________ 3. Participle: They are used as an adjective and come with V4 and V3 participles. Ex- The cat entered the house through the broken window. Here, the word 'broken' is used as an adverb of quality to describe the 'window'. Hope this helps!

Gerund & present participate look alike but they are differentiated in the case in which they're used while gerund is used subjectively the latter is used adjectively. Infinitives normallyprefixed by the "to"" Particle
