She did mention her mother calls her ugly and buys clothes for her brother rather than herself even when they go out specifically to buy clothes for her because according to her mom, nothing looked good on her. I'd say her mother's comments had a big effect on how she views herself.

She should give her child a chance to show her that she will study hard, I think she's already thought of her future for her and is just cutting of what they're suggesting bc of that. The daughter is my age and if she is always locked up working she'll become less social and she won't be able to make any decisions on her own bc of her being used to getting told what to do. (in my opinion)
not only that.. but she needs to let her daughter make decisions for herself.. even if she makes a mistake 1.at least she won't have regrets of not trying something 2.she will learn from her mistake this is how we slowly learn ourselves and figure out our skills and preferences.. she's not letting her daughter to not only live her life but also grow up.. she's literally doing the opposite of "raising" a child! what's even more scary is that with her attitude, even if she lets her daughter do what she wants, then if she doesn't succeed immediately her mother might be like "see? I told you so.. you're useless, you didn't even need to try.. just do what I say from now on" omg that would be terrible! (not saying that would happen.. just a possibility based on her character) I can't believe there can be such ignorant people.. I knew not everyone is perfect and we all make mistakes and not everyone is born a good parent blah blah.. but damn that lady is one of the best at being a bad parent! that's why I believe not just anyone can be a parent.. that's why there should at least be free parenting seminars provided by the state (compulsory for new parents) or something like that.. imo these matters are as important as economy etc.. after all kids are the future.. shouldn't we try to make the next generation better? anyway I got carried away again xD this case touches on an important subject to me!

I kinda felt like that too when I was a little. My mom would buy things for my brother since he's the only boy but I get hand-me-downs from my four older sisters. I do understand that, but for a young child seeing that feels so unfair. Now that I'm grown up, I work and spend money on myself. Don't be sorry for your complaints. I really REALLY want to show my mother this episode. Cause the girl in the 2nd concern, is just like me! I'm in 7th grade and my mom won't let me rest. I don't have the situation as bad as her but pretty close. I feel like Cinderella but not as pretty in my own home. There are 7 people, not including me, living in my house and I do all the work. I am the middle kid so I do all the laundry, dishes, and house cleaning. I study hard as much as I can and still get good grades. My brother and sister usually get B's and C's so when they get an A my mom and dad congratulate them with dinner or something nice. I am an A+ student and I got a B once because I didn't study for a test because I was so tired. My mom scolded me and took away my privileges. I am called fat and ugly, so I even starved myself before. I feel like crying most of the time but I manage to pull through. I have hope that things will change but I wish I could go out on this show......

im like roy i loooove throwing my notebooks and textbooks away at the end of the semester but i got owned once wen i had to retake my calculus and physics class and i regretted throwing my notebooks away cos i could have avoid rewriting the same notes. Since then i make sure to keep all my notes from sch in case i fail another class and have to retake. Lol

I can relate to the second girl a little bit lol my parents made me clean since 1st grade (not just the house but I also cleaned my own room, did my own laundry, made my own food, etc) and eventually gave me a phone in 7th grade tho... they take it away if I don't clean and it makes me angry bc my younger sister got a phone in 4th grade (she's in 6th grade now) and she doesn't clean or anything and is clearly favored by my parents.... poor girl has it worse than me :( stay strong!!!

I get the third concern, but I still think that the comments they made were too excessive, people have tattoos all around the globe and if the tattoos that others get is not to your taste, then it isn't. You don't have to say it is ugly or whatsoever, because tattoos are not made for you to look at, but for the individual himself to admire. I understand that Korea is still a conservative nation, that is why they blur out the tattoos, but the distasteful expressions about his tattoos are just too hurtful. Tattoos have actually been known to help others become more confident of themselves and help them grow out of their shell, so making unnecessary comments is just like someone destroying their confidence and shoving them back into the shell they've worked so hard to get out of. Basically, I don't approve of the comments made for his tattoos as it feels like a cheap personal attack to me. Moreover, the situation is not about his current tattoos but his ambition of getting more tattoos, which I feel that he should consult with his spouse on that, both for himself and his family. Personally, my view on tattoos is that it is a form of art, although it is not really socially acceptable yet in this society, why should we boycott the talents of art? The skin is just another canvas. The responsibility a tattooist carries is really heavy because it is not easy to draw on people's skin and not make a mistake. I applaud tattooists around the world whom had the courage to help another express their feelings, gather just enough courage to face the harsh reality and embark on a new chapter in their lives.
I am furious with the 2nd one. I was not forced to do chores like her but I’m born in a Thai - Chinese family. Chinese family just prioritize sons more than daughter. I am the only girl in my father’s family tree. My aunt just discriminates me a lot. I got in the no.1 top school in Thailand. Still, I was compared to my younger cousin in every way includiing major in studies. Apart from my aunt, when my aunt started complaining about me my dad starts it too complaining why i don’t work for scholarship and how i drain money. It was to the point i had to see a therapist because I was cutting my arm and my legs. Sometimes I tried to cut my face thinking why am I so ugly. Glad now he started to understand me more and I no longer cut myself anymore😊
My mother is like father at first concern. She doen't throw anything. It's stressed me so much cause i was responsible to clean house. cleaning is never ending. One time i cried and said i was embarassed to bring friend here and never want to live with them when married. After that my mother changed a little. Although she still keep some around. But atleast, she can throw our refrigator, sofa, bed, cabinets, 4 bicycle and many more (note : most of them cant be used before)
First concern...I am 19 years old and used to and still own most of the"old" objects presented on stage(yeah..I even have the same yellow computer and cherish it since it was my first ever) ....Why do they act like they are antics ? People still use those all around the world...

1st Concern: tbh, it's not that much of a problem though it is kind of a problem? Because I also keep some old stuff in my room like my old phones and items, they are full of memories that I can never forget and I'll continue to keep my old stuff and later I'll put a display for all of them so I can show it to my kids the stuff throughout life. But it can be a problem if you have too much in your room or house, so it's best to throw or donate them on which items that you don't have much memories or smth...I totally get the guy and his wife's PoV 2nd Concern: The mother is absolutely horrible! She's very young to work, she needs to study for her future and get a better job. A little bit of chores will do but obviously, she's not the age of getting to work. When she grows a bit older, she can work. Idk why the mom is doing this to her daughter when her sons are old enough to work. Is it because of the genders? I know that some Korean people are still traditional and prefer males over females because they are dominant. If she was my mom, boy I would have fought with her and being a rebel. And the little girl is ALREADY PRETTY! She doesn't look bad like I do,the mother really don't get how the childhood/teen life works...(SIDE NOTE: The customers are cute) 3rd Concern: It's not a big deal about having a tattoo. It's how the person wants to express themselves and feel confident. I totally understand both of their PoV. There are still some Korean people that don't appreciate tattoos and considering them bad. But, come on let that person do whatever they want it's their body. If you don't like it then leave him!
In the second concern it was really bad . My mom does this to me too she works me while my brother gets to slack off. She calls me ugly all the time and says my brother looks fine although she didn't work me this hard i suffered from deppression . If this mom doesn't stop she's going to hurt her child she might end up giving up life if she continues to do this . Your child doesn't have a childhood anymore .

Maybe Im old fashioned but I can't see why everyone is so upset about the second concern. My parents made me do all kinds of things growing up and I was never paid a penny. I never received an allowance either. My parents believed that whatever money you make is yours and what you choose to do with it was at your discretion. I know my parents spent a lot of money to provide for us so whatever work I did for then wasn't a big deal. While I do think she shouldn't be working so many hours and doing most of the work I don't think her working at the salon is that big of a deal. I've worked at a salon its definitely not hard labor. I do agree that the Mom is being lazy though. She doesn't need that much help. I don't know how old most of you are so maybe you see things differently because of your age or your background. I'm in my mid twenty's so I think I can relate more to the Mom. Being a parent can be confusing especially with all the changes in people's opinions on child rearing.

Honestly, it's scary that the friend of the cute little girl's brother cares more about her (like he even came to a national show to support her) than her own brother. I really REALLY want to show my mother this episode. Cause the girl in the 2nd concern, is just like me! I'm in 7th grade and my mom won't let me rest. I don't have the situation as bad as her but pretty close. I feel like Cinderella but not as pretty in my own home. There are 7 people, not including me, living in my house and I do all the work. I am the middle kid so I do all the laundry, dishes, and house cleaning. I study hard as much as I can and still get good grades. My brother and sister usually get B's and C's so when they get an A my mom and dad congratulate them with dinner or something nice. I am an A+ student and I got a B once because I didn't study for a test because I was so tired. My mom scolded me and took away my privileges. I am called fat and ugly, so I even starved myself before. I feel like crying most of the time but I manage to pull through. I have hope that things will change but I wish I could go out on this show......

I get the third concern, but I still think that the comments they made were too excessive, people have tattoos all around the globe and if the tattoos that others get is not to your taste, then it isn't. You don't have to say it is ugly or whatsoever, because tattoos are not made for you to look at, but for the individual himself to admire. I understand that Korea is still a conservative nation, that is why they blur out the tattoos, but the distasteful expressions about his tattoos are just too hurtful.
Tattoos have actually been known to help others become more confident of themselves and help them grow out of their shell, so making unnecessary comments is just like someone destroying their confidence and shoving them back into the shell they've worked so hard to get out of.
Basically, I don't approve of the comments made for his tattoos as it feels like a cheap personal attack to me. Moreover, the situation is not about his current tattoos but his ambition of getting more tattoos, which I feel that he should consult with his spouse on that, both for himself and his family.
Personally, my view on tattoos is that it is a form of art, although it is not really socially acceptable yet in this society, why should we boycott the talents of art? The skin is just another canvas. The responsibility a tattooist carries is really heavy because it is not easy to draw on people's skin and not make a mistake. I applaud tattooists around the world whom had the courage to help another express their feelings, gather just enough courage to face the harsh reality and embark on a new chapter in their lives.

I am furious with the 2nd one. I was not forced to do chores like her but I’m born in a Thai - Chinese family. Chinese family just prioritize sons more than daughter. I am the only girl in my father’s family tree. My aunt just discriminates me a lot. I got in the no.1 top school in Thailand. Still, I was compared to my younger cousin in every way includiing major in studies. Apart from my aunt, when my aunt started complaining about me my dad starts it too complaining why i don’t work for scholarship and how i drain money. It was to the point i had to see a therapist because I was cutting my arm and my legs. Sometimes I tried to cut my face thinking why am I so ugly.
Glad now he started to understand me more and I no longer cut myself anymore😊
My mother is like father at first concern. She doen't throw anything. It's stressed me so much cause i was responsible to clean house. cleaning is never ending. One time i cried and said i was embarassed to bring friend here and never want to live with them when married. After that my mother changed a little. Although she still keep some around. But atleast, she can throw our refrigator, sofa, bed, cabinets, 4 bicycle and many more (note : most of them cant be used before)

1st Concern: tbh, it's not that much of a problem though it is kind of a problem? Because I also keep some old stuff in my room like my old phones and items, they are full of memories that I can never forget and I'll continue to keep my old stuff and later I'll put a display for all of them so I can show it to my kids the stuff throughout life. But it can be a problem if you have too much in your room or house, so it's best to throw or donate them on which items that you don't have much memories or smth...I totally get the guy and his wife's PoV
2nd Concern: The mother is absolutely horrible! She's very young to work, she needs to study for her future and get a better job. A little bit of chores will do but obviously, she's not the age of getting to work. When she grows a bit older, she can work. Idk why the mom is doing this to her daughter when her sons are old enough to work. Is it because of the genders? I know that some Korean people are still traditional and prefer males over females because they are dominant. If she was my mom, boy I would have fought with her and being a rebel. And the little girl is ALREADY PRETTY! She doesn't look bad like I do,the mother really don't get how the childhood/teen life works...(SIDE NOTE: The customers are cute)
3rd Concern: It's not a big deal about having a tattoo. It's how the person wants to express themselves and feel confident. I totally understand both of their PoV. There are still some Korean people that don't appreciate tattoos and considering them bad. But, come on let that person do whatever they want it's their body. If you don't like it then leave him!

Maybe Im old fashioned but I can't see why everyone is so upset about the second concern. My parents made me do all kinds of things growing up and I was never paid a penny. I never received an allowance either. My parents believed that whatever money you make is yours and what you choose to do with it was at your discretion. I know my parents spent a lot of money to provide for us so whatever work I did for then wasn't a big deal.
While I do think she shouldn't be working so many hours and doing most of the work I don't think her working at the salon is that big of a deal. I've worked at a salon its definitely not hard labor. I do agree that the Mom is being lazy though. She doesn't need that much help.
