UPDATE: just released my guide to plan your year! Watch it here: ruclips.net/video/eBuZ_erh5UU/видео.html HUGE thank you to Raul (aka Paul) and Mr Wright Way for taking the heat! Also, I've been working on upping my tech game - what do you think of the new recording look?
Nate... Nick... I like your new background! Do you actually read the RUclips Comments? Instagram Messages you don't seem to read. 😅 Best regards! Felix
The color setting is good. There is a theme but it's not monotonal. I can't do stuff like that easily. It takes a lot of imagination and consideration for me.
Getting an in-depth breakdown of why I’m a failure… wow, is this what I really wanted from my favorite RUclips expert? Yes… I guess I was so excited to meet you I couldn’t type straight! Thanks for the “gentle” critique N.A.T.E. It was very helpful! I shall take your lessons to heart. Hopefully in 6 months’ time you will see a whole new Raul!
@@JustSheik Thanks so much! This is an incredibly kind community! I guess we are all just trying to get better at RUclips... so everyone here has empathy. You Got this too!
I would not interpret what Nate said as you being a failure. But as a reminder that your channel needs a bit of work (just like mine 🙃). Your channel is not doing very well YET. But you are consistent with coming up with ideas for your channel and are also consistent with posting. The sound, editing and the image quality are good. Once you figure out who you want to speak to and once you become more relaxed in front of the camera, then you'll be able to tailor the video ideas to your target audience. Keep it up!
I can absolutely confirm Nate's advice about choosing your audience. He roasted my channel earlier this year and his suggestion that I focus on 'People with a knowledge of, or interest in, chemistry' changed everything. I went from about 1000 subscribers to about 25,000 and climbing within months.
Just watched 10mins on evaporation and you're doing great stuff here :) I think there's a real conflict between being informative versus entertaining. It's not enough to just drop a bunch of knowledge into a video, but equally at what point is pursuing style going to undermine the pursuit of substance. Great to see an example where that balance is succeeding.
5:47 In the middle of the video. Had to pause. This video is great. I love that you are being very saucy/feisty/whatever the right word is with the names, I love how you are roasting Raul, choosing Raul and Mr Wright to compare each other with was a really great idea. Actually maybe it could have been any two channels, but the execution is really spot on. Ok let’s continue
Oh my word. I've never heard a call-to-action that masterful. "The more you comment, the more likely I might roast you... (wink wink nudge nudge)." I'm seething with envy at that idea. 😂 Actually, that'd be a cool video! All the ways to get more engagement that aren't "Like, subscribe, click all the things" lol.
Lol! 😂you said “hoo ha” and my grand daughter lost it! NonNon..he said hoo ha! She callls her lady part “hoo ha”. Thank you for pointing this out as I believe o may have struggled with this. Think I may be getting better…but also taking the advice you gave Mr right and be more energetic as I really enjoy what I do even if it does not always show. Always Boop on my way in to the video ❤🌸
I usually just watch all your videos, thumbs up, and watch the next one. I didn’t know you actually check out the channels of people that comment. Guess I’m going to be interacting a lot more now. You’ve already helped me so much.
Awesome video Nick! 😂 The personality section really resonated with me…I use full scripts for my video since they help keep me concise and on-track, but I always end up sounding a bit forced and unnatural. Something I’ve found as a viewer is that a lot of times, the most creators I enjoy watching the most don’t just have a fun personality, they also have a unique editing style that complements their personality. I’d like to start transitioning off of scripts at some point so I hopefully start developing my on camera personality and find what works for me (funny enough, one of my best-performing videos didn’t use any kind of script, I just told a story based on something I was already familiar with). PS. I love the brighter look!
Great advice ! Just glad to see something REAL on RUclips and blunt like who cares about your videos. Question on my mind this week is should I change the name of the channel ? 🤠
Dig the new background Nick..oops Nate..hehe!! Can you please shed some light on Shorts? We have now more than 200 Shorts on our channel, we are doing everything that you have previously suggested, but we aren't getting anywhere, no idea what we are doing wrong, while over at IG we have been able to amass more than 110K followers but YT is not moving much at all. We know the audience is there, but can't figure out how to reach them!
I love Nick's addition to this channel! His breakdowns and honesty really helped me evaluate my own channel after watching this. You should feature him in more videos!
hey man just found your channel, I just started my channel about 3 weeks ago, and so iv been binge watching your videos over the past few weeks and its helped a lot, so thx 🙏
Great tips Nate. I think many of us can use the tips you shared. I know I can. I'm currently on a RUclips break, but when I return I'll be putting them into practice. Thanks again!
Great video, thank you! “Asking questions no one is wondering“ is priceless. It’s so easy to make videos that I feel like making and I need to think more about my audience and what they want. I’m working on that and hoping to get better. 🤞
Thanks for roasting the channel and providing your insights. The personalty part was important. Having great emotions and a likeable personality makes a big difference. People used to complain I was boring or monotone and I had to add more emotions and express more joy in my videos. After that people enjoyed that more.
As always another great video from Nick... 🤣🤣 But seriously, since you left channel makers to run on your own, your personality and style continues to stand out more and more. Love the content and the energy.
Nate is a good role model to become our authentic self. By staying true to ourselves, we will be able to shine our light to the world. Conforming serves no one, it dims our light
Hi Nate I found your roast of Paul’s channel really insightful especially about how it’s not clear who his videos are for. I find that with my channel (a fitness channel for ballet dancers) I am quite clear with who my audience is and plan my videos with them in mind however my newer videos aren’t reaching as many viewers as my older videos did. Perhaps there are other areas I need to improve in or perhaps I need to change things up as I find that my videos aren’t always reaching the audience they are intended for.
Excellent Roast Nate/Nick. This is the kind of in depth "thinking" content we need. It is easy to get lost in the weeds and not realize the "glaring" problems we have with our channels. Does buying SuperThanks help to roasted? 😂😂 Seriously, valuable stuff ya got here.
Interesting concept asking to get roasted. Then, just spitting the truth. Great concept. Enjoyed the way you laid it out there. I'll be keeping my eye on you😳😁
A multiverse where Nick Nimmin and Nate Black were meshed together could be pretty awesome for the RUclips-verse 😆 guess we’ll just have to settle for collabs 💁♀️
NATE! I love your channel! Thank you for being you! Of all the BS "how to RUclips" channels on the platform, yours is the only one that I think is worth watching. You are always so completely genuine in your commentary. Very helpful! Thank you! Keep it up! If you need another channel to roast, I volunteer mine, I`d love your help!
If there's one thing I'm always getting reminded of in your videos Nate it's that I just gotta cut loose and be excited. Let the passion and excitement come through in the video! Great stuff as always I'd love to get roasted one day :D
Great tips, Nick.. I mean Nate!😆 I think I might be able to handle being roasted by you. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong on my channel that I can change to make viewers want to watch them. YT is hard.
Man this hit home. I struggle with filming my own ideas vs. paying the bills (product reviews). My audience enjoys both, but I believe a product review channel doesn't provide the specific type of value I want to give my audience. Thanks for sharing Nick.
Really well put, it’s crazy, until someone like yourself explains these things and puts it into words it can seem so unclear. I will try and use these tips in this new channel. Thanks man!
Nice werk, Nick!😘 You do such a great job of explaining things in a way that is specific to the channel but also lay it out to how we can apply those same concepts to our own channel! Learning so much from you! Thanks for all you do! 🤜💥🤛
Booped my friend. I love "what is your position and who is your audience." This is a necessary reminder for me. I guess i forgot this really important point and got lost along the way. This effected my views and subscribers. This is probably why my views and subscribes started to plummet. Thanks Nate. I needed to watch this. Praise God I saved this video.
These are actually so helpful because when you bring others channels up it also highlights what might be wrong with ours. That’s something you just don’t get with a RUclips tips video 🙌🏻
I think that’s the biggest struggle I see new RUclipsrs have. Not knowing who their audience is, or having too small of an audience for your videos. Need to make sure you find the sweet spot of your passion and actually having a large audience who is interested in what you’re making
This may have been a ROAST video, but I did come away with two valuable lessons, so thank you, Nate! Who is my audience? Fantasy readers/fans. How am I positioned? That's a harder one. Ummm, as a fellow fan saying "hey did you see this?"? But the trickiest question for me that I'm having a hard time answering is - can I explore fantasy lore/myths/legends, & talk about elements of engaging fiction & fantasy classics WITH enthsuiasm but WITHOUT showing my face? Off to watch some more of your videos! Thanks, Nate! Love from Northern Ontario!
It was fun meeting you at VidSummit (well in the check in line. 😂). I thought your name was Nate not Nick. You are such a great person to chat with while waiting in line.
I struggle with ideas and editing and now I need to look at positioning too, but the guidance in the right direction means more than we can express with a simple Boop of the like button. So thank you Nate!
Hi, this just happened to be on my feed, and I am not commenting from any of the channels that I own, but I am learning a lot about positioning and connecting with the audience from this video alone, and this is my first video of yours. So imagine by the time I go through your channel, I know I may have a ton to note down. I am going through your SEAS Method video after watching this. Infact, it just started on another tab, so I couldn't resist commenting. Love your honest roasts and great ideas about positioning for growth. Thank you so much Nate!
Hey Nate! Just wanted to say thank you for all the data, time and research you put into every single one of your videos! I've managed to grow my channel from 0 to almost 900 subs in 4 months and content like this has really helped me out!🔥 I know you probably get A LOT of requests for channel roasts, but if you ever run out, I'd Definitely be up for it!😂
You know, I wasn't such a big fan before, thought you were cool, just never hit me. Since last night, I have been watching a lot of the videos here on your newer chan and dude, I am loving it, making me think very different about my own stuff. going to be recording tomorrow and will implement what I learned on "Your RUclips Audience Already Exists. Here's How to Find It" and "The State of RUclips Thumbnails 2023", kinda feel stupid I didn't think of it before, more on the showing confidence, never been good about it, I can talk it, I just never showed it.... I gotta show it, thank you.
I find it useful to write "WHY" I'm on RUclips into the channel description, banner and the script template. Helps to stay on the track... most of the times anyway. Sometimes, I feel, you have to make a video just for yourself and only loosely stay in the "niche" to maintain the creative spark.
I felt personally attacked by Rauls "personality" 😂. It is very weird, as my personality doesn't seem to show on my videos, even my partner says I am boring in my videos... but, as I record them I think I am nailing it... practice makes perfect I suppose? 😂
Same with me! When I make an effort to have more “personality” in my videos, it looks way worse.
Год назад+2
Struggled with this a lot at the beginning. One thing that is helping me a lot is: Whenever I will push the record button, I remember to be the "130% version of myself". Remember the time you were explaining something that you was really excited, to somebody. How did you spoke and gestured? What was the tone of your voice? That is your 130%! Keep posting and improving and, most important, having fun in the process!
Absolutely same here! I feel like I'm doing so well while recording voiceover and then it all still feels flat in the final video. Also me being quite strongly introverted and speaking in different language (english is not my first language) does not help also 😂 guess we'll just have to push through this and hopefully get better with time :D
Love the new background! Also, fantastic roast. Your comment about ice cream had me. 💀 Keep up the fantastic work. I find all your videos so helpful. Thank you! (SEAS method 4evr!)
Interesting expansion on audio types for videos. I do find it hard to stick to one group of viewers and focus the content on that! Slightly jealous how quick your own channel is picking up subs & views, so I will keep on watching, learning and ironing out my own blind spots. Thx again.
After several years subscribed to Channel Makers and being here since the start of the Nate Black channel, I just wanted to say this is another great video Nate (not Nick) and to keep the content coming! Also, coincidence or not, "Mr. Wright" made me think of the protagonist of the Ace Attorney series whose name is Phoenix Wright...sometimes called "Mr. Wright" and ironically the character Maya used to call him "Nick." You've got a lot of (probably unintentional) Ace Attorney references here lol
That was very thoughtful and thorough. The videos I saw on your screen for Paul's channel that really worked message-wise are: How I Handle Late Employees, This Mistake Kills Restaurants and your highlighted Why I Would Never Own a Chick-Fil-A. So it's clear Paul's audience is (or should be) restaurant managers and potentially owners. Those also have relatively more views. But all of your critiques were right on point, including the personality observation -- coming across as 'professional' (aka putting on the 'manager persona') instead of coming across as real and genuine. Things to keep in mind for the future, absolutely.
Thank you for your insights. I’m afraid that my age is not lending itself to others that are interested in RUclips information that I’m trying to share. I’ll keep watching you and try to figure it out. Thanks for everything you do.
Regular viewer here commenting for the first time for 3 reasons. 1st being obvious lol, 2nd thanks for the great content, and lastly... woah I didn't expect to see Mystic in the video
Love it! I've been really trying to contemplate exactly who watches my videos.... Originally I figured it would be maybe like a 60/40 split male to female. And I I assumed they would be probably in their mid-to-late 20's... But after a couple of years I've realized from analytics that my audience is 97% males in their late 30's! It's got me already brainstorming how my content could shift to better satisfy that demographic 🤔 BTW - a few months before I started this channel, I did the channel makers course you created in 2021. Created an entire spreadsheet of 10-20 similar channels like what I wanted to create like you recommended. And then I launched in January 2022! It took off on tiktok instantly, which helped grow my YT audience to about 16k organically from people coming from tiktok. And finally in January 2023, the YT algo finally picked up my video! Now just to replicate that successful video... I also saw you at Vidsummit the last 2 years, but was always too nervous to come up and say hi. Thanks for the consistently great advice man!
Thanks for the video Nathan! It gave me a lot to think about. I'm trying to approach the channel in as professional a manner as possible. So, though I am a bit confused it gives me things to think about. Thanks again, Nate.
Holy moly this really opened by eyes! I never thought about the positioning of the packaging for the video. Totally makes sense that it needs to best relate to the audience you are trying to reach. I feel like you helped unlock a massive insight for my channel! Thanks so much for this!!!
Such an insightful video and the tips about positioning your channel is something so simple and yet so complex at the same time. You really are awesome at helping us creators succeed Nate! I did have a question for you about running two channels. I recently started a second channel as my niche is ASMR and hypnosis and I wanted to be able to make music and gaming/vtuber content on the side. I've been looking into tips and tricks for running two channels in different niches effectively but there seems to be mixed messages. What do you think about marketting your new channel to your old audience if the niche is vastly different?
Write that down, write that down! This is very interesting, and I think it helped me figure out why some of my videos have gotten 100x more views than others...time to test some theories.
My videos seem to be lost in the shadows, invisible, unnoticed by people. I'm at a loss, desperately searching for answers to the haunting "whys" that linger in my mind.
Nate, just discovered your channel, and I thoroughly enjoy your" down to earth" approach....I have a channel in the blade community. In this community it is very different from any other on youtube, we are generally tightly knit, have meetings together and try to push and help one another to succeed...its like many people of a like minded nature together in one community....im trying to reach my 5k goal by end of the year...other channels are sharing and pushing it with me....I think it's a very unusual aspect of our community compared to the norm on youtube, would love to hear your thoughts....and I enjoy watching...great job
I know I just said this yesterday but Nate, it's such a delight to see you with all the mojo in these videos! I'm so glad the P24 move has worked for you, the difference is just so cool to see! I had a smile on my face this whole video. It was really fun. I gleaned some wisdom for my vids, too. In particular, making sure I envision my audience's needs and questions (ie. position myself) and to really ensure I meet those needs (fulfill that role). Thanks for a top vid, it was really useful. And fun! Winning!
Hi Nate. I just came across your channel and subbed. I’ve had a metal detecting/relic hunting channel for a little more than a year, and it’s not growing quite as fast as I’d like…so I could use all the help I can get. I’m looking forward to learning from you. Thanks for being there to help the rest of us!
I’ve been diving down the rabbit holes for RUclips creation content recently and your advice is great. It’s broad enough to be applied to different categories, yet also details specifics that can applied to all categories, as well. For me, I nuked the process of having me on camera. I simply don’t have the confidence or acting skills yet 😅 but with only using my voice, I’m able to convey my points and personality so much better. Also requires less do-overs lol I’ll definitely keep checking these out!
A comment I get very often on my vids is that folk love the enthusiasm I have for my project. Quite a few who are not even Star Trek fans say they watch the vids purely for the enthusiasm and model making and sheer crazy-ness of my project!
Ha, I wish I could work out what content I should make for my channel! I know what the end goal is, it's everything in between that confuses me. Always love your content Nick!
Interviewing guests feels like a wild card game! Each person's personality really changes how I approach the conversation. If I get a 'teeth puller' (you know, the type that gives one-word answers), I have to adapt my style, while others might chat away for 15 minutes after a single question. It’s a challenge, but it keeps things interesting!
Love the new set design! Thanks for sharing the roast and I feel like personality is one that I need to work on more. I have an educational channel and lots of times will script my videos and use a teleprompter. While it's helpful for batch recording I think it can also come off more professional vs personable. Would love to hear your thoughts on using teleprompters and if there is a way to still add more personality!
Very interesting to watch this! It’s always important to visit and re-visit the audience for your channel - and I’m pretty sure I need to do a better job on this myself. I’ll have to get a NATE-Roast one of these days - although, I might be a bit more Raul than Mr. Wright…. Does that make me… Mr. Wrong? I always learn from your channel (been around here awhile) - for some reason this one really resonated.
I randomly came across this channel but since I have a small (micro) channel I’m guessing it’s my algorithm. I generally never watch videos like this, but it really got me thinking so thanks. I really like the idea that you’re picking randoms to roast and not just doing like cross affiliations because that always just seems so biased I don’t feel I can trust what’s being said to believe it’s valid. Keep posting good contact.
This is the Hard realisation that hit me recently. I’ve been experimenting on multiple video types. And my audience just kicks my ass the moment I upload a video on a different niche, they suck with views, ctr and everything else
What a joy & humorous, cheeky video❤ You have a rockstar look & whit & banter. Somewhat a cross between Jeremy Clarkson & Jame May quirky, unapologetic videos. Love it. Raul must be red cheeked, proud & also, hopefully, laughing with all of us. So nice to let go the seriousness of life from time to time, and get geeky & goofy😂❤
It's been interesting to read the comments to this video, which is a huge credit to the quality of audience you have grown. One thing you have managed to achieve in your format is a balance between content and delivery. You are enjoyable to listen to, but also worth listening to. On a personal level, for my journey, I think there's a real conflict between being informative versus entertaining. It's not enough to just drop a bunch of knowledge into a video, but equally at what point is pursuing style going to undermine the pursuit of substance. Not to mention the resources or ability to simply "do better and improve". Finding a sustainable path to producing videos is just as important as finding ways to make them better.
Based on watching you roast other channels (that they requested), Doing a "Roast" of my clients & colleagues' public-facing content is a new facet for my channel. Thanks for the lessons and the idea.
I just Privated my most viral Video 15M views over a year because of Nate's Advice. Why? Because it was positioned wrong for my channel, and it was destroying my channel. LISTEN TO NATE! Thank you so much for your advice! You saved my channel. In the 2 days since I privated that video my channel has started growing again. The problem was, that video was tagged ASMR wich had nothing to do with the rest of the content on my channel, so the Algo was pushing out my content to the wrong audience, and my new videos performance was dismal. Now, I have a video that is starting to really take off that IS positioned right for my channel and it is bringing the rest of my content up with it. Please don't chase after shiny hashtags that promise viral views. Thank you Nate, for everything you do, please keep it up!
I love the bright new look, Nate! I feel it’s more engaging. The previous look made it feel more like it was night time. I appreciate all the great advice you share. On a funny note, I was recently scheduling a short and ofc you can’t choose the thumbnail and the one that was automatically chosen by RUclips completely gave away the video, which made me laugh and help reinforce your point. Thank you!
Found your video completely by accident and just loved this! I'm planning to start a new channel next year and this has been so helpful. I really like your no-nonsense communication style, so I've subscribed and look forward to learning a LOT.
I know when I started creating RUclips videos I didn't know how to edit, my scripts sucked but my reading the scripts was worse and I started to upload for fun. Now I still do that but with a lot more effort as now I enjoy editing and try creating a story etc. But almost 3 years doing this I've learned a lot by myself or with help from you Nate and other channels like yours. So all in all despite being a very small channel I'm starting to really like the way my channel is going and maybe one day somebody will say "yes keep doing what you are doing" or "roast me like they mean it" 😂 Keep these videos coming they are all helpful even when I ain't the one being roasted.
This video was both informative and entertaining! I'm glad I watched another video where you explained the concept of "Position" in detail. If I had watched this video first, I would have been rather lost. If there was a card that popped up with a teaser like "What I mean by Position" I would have clicked on it. The setup for leaving me wanting to know more was perfect.
Thanks, Nick (Sorry I couldn't help myself). Thanks, Nate. I love your videos. You're in my top 3 RUclipsrs that I watch for advice. It's hard to look at your own videos and look for places to improve. So, watching you roast other videos gives the community things to look for. I am lucky that one of my family members will ring me after an upload with praise and then give things to improve. While I would love to grow the channel outside of family and friends, my main objective is learning. So, I usually just pick one or two things to improve for my next video. You might be wondering who my other two RUclipsrs I watch for advice. Well, they are......
UPDATE: just released my guide to plan your year! Watch it here: ruclips.net/video/eBuZ_erh5UU/видео.html
HUGE thank you to Raul (aka Paul) and Mr Wright Way for taking the heat!
Also, I've been working on upping my tech game - what do you think of the new recording look?
HAHAHA 😂
Thanks for this Nate!
Recording space looks great. I also love that red-ish dim background light you have for evening recordings.
🤠 🤠 ☕🍰
I'm on it N.A.T.E. , I'll watch it next. By the way, VANILLA is the #1 Best Selling ice cream in the world... by far!
Nate... Nick... I like your new background!
Do you actually read the RUclips Comments?
Instagram Messages you don't seem to read. 😅
Best regards!

Loving the new background! Also, if Raul was confusing you with Nick Nimmin, there are worse Nicks out there I guess 😉
The color setting is good. There is a theme but it's not monotonal. I can't do stuff like that easily. It takes a lot of imagination and consideration for me.
Thank you Nic……NATE. It was a pleasure meeting you and I’m glad I’m doing it The Wright Way 😊
That was fun! Congratulations on doing things the Wright way and the "right" way! AND... you even got your own theme music!
You’re rocking it man!
@@ThatNateBlack thank you

@@therealpaulreiser Thank you Raul for asking Nick to roast you, it will help all of us :) I wish you all the best with your channel.

You got this, Paul/Raul! 😂🎉
Wow it's awesome to see you here! I've seen your growth it's been really impressive, well done! (MChem student 😉)
That's incredible!!! Maybe I'll get a gentle roast someday. No, wait. I'm a surgeon. I can handle it.
That’s amazing, congrats 🎉
Just watched 10mins on evaporation and you're doing great stuff here :) I think there's a real conflict between being informative versus entertaining. I love the lighter background! Maybe pull the key light on your face just a little? Great video, definitely learned a few things.
"Asking questions that no one is wondering" -- that is the core issue for me and honestly a brilliant statement. fair play to you.
I think it's the same with me, I would love a roast too Ncik
That was quite a roast Nick!
Excellent, Nick! 😳 The lighter background lends to your upbeat energy in my opinion. Great work!
Also what is his positioning? That is some damn great advice there that I haven’t heard anyone else making ‘NewTubers’ aware of!!
This was my favorite video of yours. I watched the whole dang thing!! Also I don’t need you to roast my channel 😇
Oh my word. I've never heard a call-to-action that masterful. "The more you comment, the more likely I might roast you... (wink wink nudge nudge)." I'm seething with envy at that idea. 😂
Actually, that'd be a cool video! All the ways to get more engagement that aren't "Like, subscribe, click all the things" lol.
Noted! Thank you Hillary!
Right!! I thought the same thing. Not sure I’m even worthy of roasting yet. Lol!!
I’m so glad you started your own channel! I have found yours to be the most helpful with guiding me on my content creator path. Thank you so much!
Great help especially with those chapters 😊 new subscriber pal
Real talk though, getting peoples' names wrong is bad. Sorry you had to go through that, Neil.
Oh. My. Gosh.
🤣😂🤣😂
I usually just watch all your videos, thumbs up, and watch the next one. I didn’t know you actually check out the channels of people that comment. Guess I’m going to be interacting a lot more now. You’ve already helped me so much.
Awesome video Nick! 😂
The personality section really resonated with me…I use full scripts for my video since they help keep me concise and on-track, but I always end up sounding a bit forced and unnatural.
Two things Paul will never forget: his new name is currently"Raul," and Nick's real name is really Nate.
truth
Dig the new background Nick..oops Nate..hehe!! Can you please shed some light on Shorts? We have now more than 200 Shorts on our channel, we are doing everything that you have previously suggested, but we aren't getting anywhere, no idea what we are doing wrong, while over at IG we have been able to amass more than 110K followers but YT is not moving much at all. We know the audience is there, but can't figure out how to reach them!
I love Nick's addition to this channel! His breakdowns and honesty really helped me evaluate my own channel after watching this. You should feature him in more videos!
His breakdowns are the best!
hey man just found your channel, I just started my channel about 3 weeks ago, and so iv been binge watching your videos over the past few weeks and its helped a lot, so thx 🙏
Great tips Nate.
I think many of us can use the tips you shared. I know I can.
I'm currently on a RUclips break, but when I return I'll be putting them into practice.
Thanks again!
Call to action for comment engagement was *chefs kiss* .
Great video, thank you! “Asking questions no one is wondering“ is priceless. It’s so easy to make videos that I feel like making and I need to think more about my audience and what they want. I’m working on that and hoping to get better. 🤞
Hope all goes well on your journey to build your channel!
🤔 hmm… guess so
The idea of “positioning” myself in my content is something I’ve never even thought of. Great information and video!
Thanks so much for all the knowledge you spread Nate! Been learning so much from you recently. You're making a real difference for growing creators.
He truly is!
Noted :)
Yep. I hear from different people regularly that my best content happens when I'm excited about it.
@@ThatNateBlack Nick can you roast me! :) Thank you for looking at my comment! Cheers, and have a Fantastic and Fabulous day!
Im not a regular viewer but I have been here for a long time watching yah and waiting to get roasted Nick :) (coughs...)
I love you’re pfp ❤️
Slick way to demonstrate the value of viewers commenting without saying "Hey, please comment". Smooth operator sir.
Great tips, Nick.. I mean Nate!😆 I think I might be able to handle being roasted by you. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong on my channel that I can change to make viewers want to watch them. YT is hard.
This is much more involved than I realized. Thanks for the transparency!
I appreciate that!
Great video as usual, Nick.
😂
I've managed to grow my channel from 0 to almost 900 subs in 4 months and content like this has really helped me out!🔥
I know you probably get A LOT of requests for channel roasts, but if you ever run out, I'd Definitely be up for it!😂
Great video, Neal! Nice insights on the audience and packaging. Learned a lot.
Thank you Sir Nate for always reminding us on our reason why we make videos on our channel. Super appreciate your tips Sir. 🙏🏽
Love the jazzy music when you highlight Mr. Wright Way’s channel!! 😂
Hope you told Nick about this! I’m sure he and Dee get this ALL the time!🤪
I felt personally attacked by Rauls "personality" 😂. It is very weird, as my personality doesn't seem to show on my videos, even my partner says I am boring in my videos... but, as I record them I think I am nailing it... practice makes perfect I suppose? 😂
Same with me! When I make an effort to have more “personality” in my videos, it looks way worse.
@ I will think of that 130 percent when I record the next time. Thank you for the tip 😊
Jowdy howdy Raul
Raul indeed 😂
Well I got an in-depth critique AND a new nickname… worth it!
Interesting expansion on audio types for videos. I do find it hard to stick to one group of viewers and focus the content on that! Slightly jealous how quick your own channel is picking up subs & views, so I will keep on watching, learning and ironing out my own blind spots. Thx again.
howdy howdy nick 😂
What have I done?! 😮
Great video once again, Nick! Much appreciated!
It's got me already brainstorming how my content could shift to better satisfy that demographic 🤔
BTW - a few months before I started this channel, I did the channel makers course you created in 2021.
Your channel has really grown fast! congrats!
Dude, you’re on fire. Great video great personality showing through. This is your year!🎉🎉
Thanks for this video! The contrast was very good to see.
Why is it that when I watch your your videos and you give channels criticism I always think that you are secretly SPEAKING TO ME! Good stuff Nate!
I found the roasting rather hilarious but with a solid principle behind the roast. Loved it Nate :)
Nate "I check out the channels of people who comment regularly"
Me: *randomly stops commenting for fear of being roasted*
I’ve been diving down the rabbit holes for RUclips creation content recently and your advice is great. It’s broad enough to be applied to different categories, yet also details specifics that can applied to all categories, as well.
For me, I nuked the process of having me on camera. I simply don’t have the confidence or acting skills yet 😅 but with only using my voice, I’m able to convey my points and personality so much better. Also requires less do-overs lol I’ll definitely keep checking these out!
Yes, NATE, the Raul guy’s enthusiasm is about as exciting as a buffet after a boring-cousin’s funeral.
And as for Mr. Wright Way- you nailed it.
A comment I get very often on my vids is that folk love the enthusiasm I have for my project. Quite a few who are not even Star Trek fans say they watch the vids purely for the enthusiasm and model making and sheer crazy-ness of my project!
That audience tip was great. gonna start thinking “who is this video for?” before every upload. thanks for this video!
Ha, I wish I could work out what content I should make for my channel! I know what the end goal is, it's everything in between that confuses me. Always love your content Nick!
Bro this is a cool series, you should definitely do more!
Booping the like button as we speak - great video as always Nick👀😂
So all in all despite being a very small channel I'm starting to really like the way my channel is going and maybe one day somebody will say "yes keep doing what you are doing" or "roast me like they mean it" 😂
Keep these videos coming they are all helpful even when I ain't the one being roasted.
