Thanks for the reply,, I noticed that there is a plug taped to a wiring loom passenger side of console that says for phone. Wondering if it could work using the plug. Cheers

That should work provided you can get the correct adapter cable from holden or elsewhere.

what i want to know is, is it possible to install a aftermarket sub on these stereos, i don't see any rca outs so i guess not...
looks like the only option is to remove the factory stereo and get aftermarket stuff

You could just swap the speekers.
Hi, excellent tutorial. Just wondering if a phone could be used instead of the ipod .? As I have all my music on my Samsung galaxy. Just a thought. Any more stuff for vy Ute would be great. Cheers fellas
+Paul Ezard Hi Paul, It would be quite easy to use any other type of phone. Either you could cut the cable and solder on your own connector or even a bluetooth module, or the wiring loom that we purchased had a set of RCA connectors as an input so you could just grab a RCA -> 3.5mm TRS cable and use that. Hi Steven Porter we are not sure if it will work, as this is designed for the VY VZ, but the stereo's could be internally very similar, so it could work, we have never tried- maybe email the supplier (eBay link in description)of the parts and ask them if they have a wire loom for the VT VX . We are based in Melbourne .

Or ! Just change the head unit like i did to a Sony USB Bluetooth Dvd Player ⁉️🤔😂😂
U put too hi how i listen remove it
just swap out to an after market stereo
This option is a lot cheaper than just buying a new head unit
+Aaron Crossling i replaced mine, with a new housing it cost a total of $100, the new alpine has USB, aux and ipod connections. installation took around 30 mins.
Wow. That ‘background’ Muzak was so bloody loud, annoying and muffling of the spoken voice , I’m just amazed no one has told you how bad it is. From the perspective of a previous tv show editor, it’s really bad. Please change it.
